Judge not lest you be judged...

But people do judge and depending on their culture, judge according to their culture.

Today there is so much diversity of culture and fashion and preferences, that letting go of certain judgements

becomes a wiser thing to do than becoming incensed or angry at that person.

Christ Jesus ate with the sinners, brought them His message of Love.

Either they followed Him or not.

He always made Himself available to be of help to those in true need of help.

I think we too are to do the same, be there for those in need, live by showing them the example of Christ living

and allow God to work in the situation.

When it doesn't work ... dust yourself off and walk away.

This time thing is one that many people judge and sometimes very unfairly.

If a person has trouble keep time or being punctual it does not necessarily means that they are inconsiderate of others.

They may have a neurological problem going on.

Some people just have more difficulty for many reason, as to why they can't always be punctual.

I personally try my best to be on time for an appointment of any sort.

Do do this , I have to pre plan in advance my course of action to get to my destination on time.

Now that I live far away from the city, it is even more difficult to per-plan as I always have to consider, the time it will take to close off my property, secure my animals, consider the weather conditions, the construction conditions and the hourly traffic conditions.

For travel that involves at least 1hre 1/2 travel of my time, I always tell people that I will do my best to be on time but to give me a window of 20 or 30 minutes as I may not be able to foresee from the time of my departure to the time of my arrival the unexpected road blocks that may come up.

And if i see that I may be late, I always call to let the person waiting know that I will be there soon.

For situations that demand continual punctuality, I have mostly opted out of committing to these, as I know that my living situations for today, makes it very difficult to fulfill without fault or being judged sternly for some kind of unforeseeable delay.

I am more concerned with those who break the law everyday.Speeding, using their cell phone and texting(which is against the law in my state) going through red lights and jaywalking.I mean no one pays attention to those things anymore and they are the law.

I think we're all concerned with those things but this thread is about how others judge YOU, and me, and everyone here.  I had no idea people notice  where one looks when they drink.  That, to me, is weird.

I do not care if others judge me.I have given up on that a long time ago what other people think, it is not healthy.I try my very best to be obedient to God in everything I do.I am only human I sin everyday just like the rest of the Christian world. If someone does not like what I say or how I look then they can look the other way.

I don't really care either.  I try not to be late but as for the rest of this stuff, I've never thought about most of those things.  I know that others judge us but there's really no point worrying about it.  It's natural to want others to like you but, if they don't, oh well.  At the end of the day, God is the ONLY one we have to please.

I believe number 8 (eye contact) might be the most important. Number 1 (the handshake) I heard many times is important but I'm afraid of breaking someones hand (specially elderly people), I mean do we squeeze their hand until they say uncle? The next time I drink out of a cup I must pay attention to where I look (that's a new one), I guess I look at the cup because I don't want to miss my mouth.

The handshake thing is important but I've had my hand squeezed very hard by men (I think they just don't realize their own strength) so it's a good idea to think about that when meeting a woman or ANY elderly person.  Breaking bones won't make anyone like you!  :happyhappy:

Well,it takes some common sense. Some may have arthritis and it would be painful to grip their hand very hard.

If someone does not like what I say or how I look then they can look the other way.

While Christians are not to be men-pleasers, we would be wise not to say "I don't really care".  Quite the opposite.  Of all people, Christians should be totally aware of how they are perceived, and how they should make a good first impression. A firm handshake and positive eye-contact indicate confidence and courage.  Punctuality indicates self-discipline, impeccable attire indicates self-respect, and so on.

Is there a biblical principle to be applied here?  Let's consider the words of the apostle Paul (1 Cor 10:32; 2 Cor 6:3): Give none offence, neither to the Jews, nor to the Gentiles, nor to the church of God:...Giving no offence in any thing, that the ministry be not blamed:

Does God care about punctuality? What saith the Scripture? (Gal 4:4): But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law... "The fulness of time" could be also understood as "At the precise time" or "At the exact time".  Christ was born at the exact time that God had planned (hence the Star of the King of the Jews, Mt 2:2), and Christ died at the exact time that God had planned (the Passover of that particular year when one Man would die for the people, Jn 18:14).  So God is punctual, and Christians should be punctual.  No excuses.

I had a boss once who was a BIG guy and, when he would shake hands, I saw more than one person wince.  I know it wasn't intentional but goodness, a little lady in her 70s shouldn't have her hand fractured by an overzealous young man.  And arthritis is a factor; my exhusband has scoriatic arthritis and at times any pressure hurts him.  On the flip side, I met one of DIL's friends the other day, she's in her twenties, and when she shook my hand she grasped just my fingers and barely shook my hand.  Not sure what that was about, I am way bigger than her so I know she wasn't worried about hurting my hand.  Another one for the weird list?  I won't dislike someone for such odd things though.  Every person is different, we're unique, it's how God made us..

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
