God bless you sis. I have learned that God can and will use whoever and whatever He wants to show that He is all knowing, all loving, and to show where He wants us. For me, He has used athiests, my unbelieving family, hardhearted and mean-spirited Christians... you name it! I am so amazed each time He opens my eyes... didn't He tell Abram: Is anything too hard for the Lord? He takes our unbelief and impossibilities and creates something amazing and new. All God needs is a willing heart, and He will make a way where we cannot see one. We may not ever see any fruit produced from our labor, but that doesn't mean fruit isn't being produced. It could also be that the change was meant for ourselves all along.

Every one of us is in a different place in our walk with Jesus. With some, the lesson of allowing the Spirit to lead (and listening to Him!) comes much quicker than others. It is very difficult to relinquish control and our prideful needs, but thankfully He has an infinite amount of patience! You never know when God will use something you say to soften a brother or sister's heart enough to reveal their sin to them. The best thing we can do is work on our own submission to the Lord, loving our brothers and sisters as ourselves, and prayer.

God used me one time when Mom took me to her Mom's house when I was a little kid. I had talking disorder, I call it. Grandma (my mom's mom) was complaining about how her friend took advantage of her. My mom ranted and raved, "Don't let her do this and that and this and that." The Holy Spirit was trying to stop Mom but had a hard time. Then He used me to say, "Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing in your sight, O Lord. Mom didn't know I was behind the couch. Mom was amazed at how thoroughly I quoted scripture.

God Bless you.

Hi Kwik!

I believe all 8 statements/questions brought up in your initial post could honestly be answered in this verse, which would require us knowing many more to see if we are in the faith!

2Corinthians 13:5  Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?

The first requirement of our faith is to love our Redeemer first and foremost! :)

Mat 22:37-38
(37)  Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
(38)  This is the first and great commandment.

Then we can love our neighbors in His strength within us:

Mat 22:39-40
(39)  And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
(40)  On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.

Daily, we should pick up our own cross, seeing that old sinful man as dead.

Luk 9:23-26
(23)  And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.
(24)  For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: but whosoever will lose his life for my sake, the same shall save it.
(25)  For what is a man advantaged, if he gain the whole world, and lose himself, or be cast away?
(26)  For whosoever shall be ashamed of me and of my words, of him shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he shall come in his own glory, and in his Father's, and of the holy angels.

And in any place we find that old sinful man "alive" look to have our minds renewed in Him!
2Ti 2:15  Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

Then we can do away with so many "other" vain psychobabble voices that are out in the world:
2Ti 2:16  But shun profane and vain babblings: for they will increase unto more ungodliness.

Pretty clear instructions for all Christians here. The foundation of God stands securely.
We all should be humbly look to grow in Christ, depart from sin. In so doing God will use us as a vessel of His, sanctified, prepared for every good work he has for us!

2Ti 2:19-21
(19)  Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.
(20)  But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth; and some to honour, and some to dishonour.
(21)  If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master's use, and prepared unto every good work.

And it was formed when he took his eyes off God placing them upon his own self as if he had anything to do with that!
Satan had to know his beginning like as we yet he formed the idea he could be without beginning- how obviously stupid
is that!! Love, Steven

Hi Kwik, and others! :)

I believe God for His Word in the here and now for His Church.
So often we are met with so many who are not lead by the Spirit of God. Other times over the years, I've heard too many folks say "The spirit told me."
I let them know that could not be the Holy Spirit, as what they just stated was not in the Bible.

Some of our prayers have been asking God to teach us His Word just as He meant it to be understood. Even going so far as to petition Him to teach us to understand in the same contexts of His Word as it was understood when He through the Holy Spirit spoke it through the men He used to give us our Bible today.

2Pe 1:20-21  Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.
For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.

I have a deep longing to see the Body of Christ to come together as one just the way the Lord would have it. I've met and heard many "naysayers" concerning this and yet I still have the faith to believe it can happen:

Rom 12:4-5  For as we have many members in one body, and all members have not the same office:
So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another.

1Co 12:12-14
For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ. For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit. For the body is not one member, but many.

As Christians, imagine this coming into practice consistently, as we are led by God:

1Co 12:25  That there should be no schism in the body; but that the members should have the same care one for another.

John 15:26  But when the Comforter (Holy Spirit) is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, (Father God) even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of Me: (Jesus Christ)

-The Holy Spirit testifies of Jesus Christ.  The Bible/Word represents Jesus Christ.
Anything the Holy Spirit speaks or does testifies of Jesus Christ and His Word the Bible, and Christ is always glorified.
Anything we hear or see done outside of the boundaries of that Word does not come from God,  no matter how good the words or works/manifestations seem to be!

The whole Body of Christ can and should be making a difference in this dark world for our Savior.
It's time to see the Body of Christ operate as a whole!

1Co 12:14-27
For the body is not one member, but many. If the foot shall say, Because I am not the hand, I am not of the body; is it therefore not of the body? And if the ear shall say, Because I am not the eye, I am not of the body; is it therefore not of the body? If the whole body were an eye, where were the hearing? If the whole were hearing, where were the smelling? But now hath God set the members every one of them in the body, as it hath pleased him. And if they were all one member, where were the body? But now are they many members, yet but one body. And the eye cannot say unto the hand, I have no need of thee: nor again the head to the feet, I have no need of you. Nay, much more those members of the body, which seem to be more feeble, are necessary: And those members of the body, which we think to be less honourable, upon these we bestow more abundant honour; and our uncomely parts have more abundant comeliness. For our comely parts have no need: but God hath tempered the body together, having given more abundant honour to that part which lacked: That there should be no schism in the body; but that the members should have the same care one for another. And whether one member suffer, all the members suffer with it; or one member be honoured, all the members rejoice with it. Now ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular.

Bless you Kwik, you are an excellent exhorter.  As such you encourage us on a regular basis and also bring glory to God for all He has done.  But another duty of an exhorter is to warn and admonish us, to encourage us to do better.  You must realize that not all have this gift but that it is sorely needed here.

It is for us to love God and love each other as we are.  Sometimes when we see a fault everywhere we look, God is opening our eyes to that fault in ourselves.  It is very offensive at that point, as He digs deeper into our own hearts to remove every root of that sin.  As we get our eyes back on the Lord He is able to perform that delicate surgery of removing the offensive sin.  When our eyes are on the sin in ourselves and in others, less is being done to achieve this.  But as we realize God's love for even the proud whom He opposes, and for us in our ugly estate, we start to plumb the heights and depths of His love for ourselves and others.  He is rooting out our rebellious nature.  During the healing process we are able to laugh at ourselves a little bit and accept each other.  Fenelon's book "Let Go" states that "Despair at our imperfections is a greater obstacle than the imperfection itself".  Self loathing is still just focusing on self.  As Gary indicated, it is for us to confess our sins and depend on God to remove them while we get on with walking in the Spirit and following Him.  We can't walk on water unless we keep our eyes on Jesus.

Thank you for being such a good friend.  Please don't be one of those people who think that "if they knew the real me, they wouldn't like me".  It is our responsibility to love each other, even the real you.

Blessings,

Your sis, Willa

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
