MG, He has many roles;

"For I have not spoken of myself; but the Father which sent me, he gave me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak. And I know that his commandment is life everlasting: whatsoever I speak therefore, even as the Father said unto me, so I speak." John: 12 49-50

This is as a messenger, but AMEN, He is also God.

How is being with Jesus different than being in heaven?

Being "with Jesus" doesn't mean someone is "in heaven" , anymore than it did for His disciples while He was still walking on earth teaching them all the Father gave Him to teach them ---- a lot of those "with Him" for some time left Him when His "Words got too hard to bear" for them .

simplejeff,

You seem to have a very serious misunderstanding about this matter, and I trust that after you examine the relevant Scriptures you will clear your mind. The Lord Jesus Christ has been resurrected, glorified, exalted, and is seated at the right hand of the Father at this very moment.  He is also within each and every believer. This is not the same as when He was walking on earth. So when a believer dies, he or she (soul and spirit) goes to Heaven where Christ is with the Father, while that person's body "sleeps" in the grave, awaiting the Resurrection/Rapture.  Please note carefully where the martyr Stephen's body went, and where his spirit went (Acts 7:54-8:2):

54 When they heard these things, they were cut to the heart, and they gnashed on him with their teeth.

55 But he, being full of the Holy Ghost, looked up stedfastly into heaven, and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing on the right hand of God,[HEAVEN]

56 And said, Behold, I see the heavens opened, and the Son of man standing on the right hand of God.

57 Then they cried out with a loud voice, and stopped their ears, and ran upon him with one accord,

58 And cast him out of the city, and stoned him: and the witnesses laid down their clothes at a young man's feet, whose name was Saul.

59 And they stoned Stephen, calling upon God, and saying, Lord Jesus, receive my spirit. [SOUL & SPIRIT]

60 And he kneeled down, and cried with a loud voice, Lord, lay not this sin to their charge. And when he had said this, he fell asleep. [BODY]

1 And Saul was consenting unto his death. And at that time there was a great persecution against the church which was at Jerusalem; and they were all scattered abroad throughout the regions of Judaea and Samaria, except the apostles.

2 And devout men carried Stephen to his burial, and made great lamentation over him. [BODY]

Sinnersaved, are you Jehovah's Witness? Because what you have been teaching in your threads, under the guise of "questions" is JW doctrines.

Sure looks that way.  Here's a revealing comment:

Jesus is Gods messenger, the son of God, came preaching the Fathers will, its not about Jesus, but about who is able to enter in to the new Kingdom of God,

Everything is indeed about Jesus, and not merely "Jesus", but "the Lord Jesus Christ", who is not simply "God's messenger" or "the Son of God" but who is ACTUALLY GOD (Heb 1:8,9). So, SS, is Jesus God or is He not?

where would you go if you were to die today, would you be with jesus , in hell , in the grave, or heaven

the bible tells us all go to the grave , unless you are here when the rapture comes, but all go to the grave, does our soul stay with us, or is it in heaven,

I hear love ones always say , he  or she is in a better place, this is said all the time,

from my study, and its just my opinion, that there is not a eternal hell, when you die you perish , and you are no more,

people claiming coming from death and saw hell, I don't think this is possible, was the meaning of hell ,fire forever and torment , biblical , or something made up by poet or something?

many churches and pastors are saying when you die you go immediately to heaven, with the lord, but this I read ,is not biblical .

The Bible speaks a lot  about hell for be assured there is a hell and it is eternal, and it is where those who reject Jesus will spend eternity. You do not parish in hell you are very aware of where you are.  And yes it is flames and  and all the other horrors that it talks about.  To teach a doctrine that you are speaking of is very dangerous.

I want to share Jesus will anyone who will listen so they will not go to hell.  That, I believe is why Jesus said to us, Go into the world and preach the Gospel to every living creature.

It really sounds to me that you are trying to rewrite the Word of God and  put  your own twist on it, You can't do that either.  When the Bible speaks of something it is true.  If it says Hell is fire and eternal punishment you can be sure that it just it is.  Read it and believe it.

May I ask what is  Biblical  to you? I really would like  you to put it all out here.

Exactly my thought as well: these questions aren't as innocent as they appear. Something's not quite ... right.

I was wondering that as well.

Yes, that is what it appears like to me, as well.

He focuses on the Sabbath day, and the dietary commandments and he is denying Hell.  He is not teaching annihilationism to me at all.  He is teaching that there is no hell.  That is the tripod of Jehovah's Witness teachings.

JW also believe that the soul does not immediately go to heaven.

How is being with Jesus different than being in heaven?

Jesus is Gods messenger, the son of God, came preaching the Fathers will, its not about Jesus, but about who is able to enter in to the new Kingdom of God,

God gave all authority for Jesus to get everything under control and to seal the Sins of man to the cross, and to prepare the people to receive the salvation, by way  of the Holy  spirit and to bring the sword of the word to separate , the just ,from the unjust, the obedient , from the disobedient,

by following Gods word and commandments, it is the kingdom , of our lord of lords and king of kings will rule over, and we will reign with him, in this kingdom, if we truly follow all that was told , by denying the self and doing as we were commanded, and jesus who prepared the way , by fulfilling the all the laws ,and  of the prophets, we have Gods agape, love, to invite the people that wish to seek Jesus ,into the presence of God, with out the repentance and surrender to God of our selves, we cannot enter, in,

for broad and wide is the way that leads to destruction and death, and many  will go there, But narrow is the way , for those, that find it , and only a few go through it, so you see, even though many claim and profess to be believers, many will not make it in , for there lamps are not filled with oil, for many will be locked out for they were foolish and did not fill them selves with the truth of the word and was ready

Jesus is calling but only a few will find him,who ever the father brings to him  if we deny any of the law and truths and think we are smart in our man made ways and logic, reguardless, of the O.T and the N.T and covenance, then we will not enter in to his rest, we will be foolish and be turned away,

so we pray to the father through the spirit , in Jesus name and do as we are commanded, and we will enter in to the kingdom of God prepared for those that take up there cross,

there is no other way and let the truth be told, when we die we are in the grave ,until Jesus calls us out, this is scriptural and fact,

so now is the time to prepare for our faith , and direction we will go.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
