So do you disagree with the WCF statement of Faith?

http://www.worthynetwork.com/statement-of-faith

Jesus Christ is the Living Word of God and the Bible is the written Word of GOD. God is inerrant and infallible and so is HIS WORD.  I simply believe what the Bible claims itself to be and that it will fulfill the purposes of GOD. It is incorruptible, Inerrant, infallible as GOD is.  The BIBLE states it is authored by GOD, says it is GOD breathed. The Bible discloses who GOD is and reveals the LORD GOD is HOLY , Righteous there is no darkness in Him, The LORD GOD is HOLY, JUST, Perfect and True and His Word is Truth. The Word of God is Spirit and Truth and Eternal. This is just a few of the Scriptures which declare the inerrancy, infallible Word which is Power, Truth, Righteousness and Life that is God's written Holy Word.

Matthew 24:35
Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.
Isaiah 55:11 "So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it."

Psalm 119:89 "Forever, O LORD, your word is settled in heaven."

Isaiah 40:8
"The grass withers and the flowers fall, but the word of our God endures forever."
John 17:17 - God's word is Truth.

2Timothy 3:16 "All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:"

Hebrews 4:12 "12For the word of God is living and active and sharper than any two-edged sword, and piercing as far as the division of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart. 13And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are open and laid bare to the eyes of Him with whom we have to do."

Jeremiah 23:29
"Is not my Word like fire," declares the LORD, "and like a hammer that breaks a rock in pieces?

John 12:48
"There is a judge for the one who rejects me and does not accept my words; the very words I have spoken will condemn them at the last day."

Psalm 19:7-9 - God's word is perfect, right, true.
Psalm 33:4 - God's word is right & done faithfully.
Psalm 119:128,142,160 - All God's precepts are right.

Romans 3:4 - Let God be true, though men may lie.
Titus 1:2,3 - God, who can't lie, manifested the word.
Hebrews 6:18 - It is impossible for God to lie.
Revelation 21:5 - The words written are true and faithful.
 Proverbs 30:5
"Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their  trust in him."
Psalm 12:6 "The words of the LORD are pure words; As silver tried in a furnace on the earth, refined seven times. 7 You, O LORD, will keep  them; You will preserve him from this generation forever.…"
1 Timothy 4:1 - The Spirit expressly says.
2Peter1:20-21 "Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.21. For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost."

Psalm 33:4
"For the word of the LORD is right; and all his works

I believe the Bible to be divinely inspired but written by human beings in their own respective historical backgrounds, asking their own specific questions. I don’t believe humans are inerrant, and I take the Bible seriously enough to study it and to see that the humans who wrote, edited, copied and translated it weren’t inerrant or infallible either. The subtle truth the Holy Spirit has given them about our salvation is inerrant and infallible.

I believe in the Trinity: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

If you want to add a fourth entity to that, I do indeed not share that faith.

And if your faith makes you pick the Bible’s nastiest bits whilst discarding everything it tells us about being forgiven and forgiving,  just to justify executing people rather than showing mercy, I don’t think your faith is worth sharing. IMHO it must be dead (see doctrinal forum).

Praying for you,

junobet

You are very insulting Junobet and project complete fictitious garbage upon those that disagree with your Liberal non-biblical views. You also delight to spread lies & slander people on the Forum whom you disagree , which is not appreciated.

I find you extremely misguided. To tell people you insult that you are praying for them is very arrogant and condescending- it is another veiled INSULT. That is two insults in one post. You've made it clear you don't believe the Bible, you are the one who is selective with it because you don't accept it as the inerrant Word of God, so you chose what to believe and what to discard and bash others with your phoney righteousness.  You're a person who peddles Liberalism under the guise of Christianity and when you attack Evangelical Bible believing Christians you are also attacking the Word of God.

The pot calling the kettle black?

no junobet , I don't think I even share similarity in household items with you. You said I added a 4th entity--we Bible believing Christians , well we just call it the "Bible"= word of God.  You said I took the 'nastiest' parts of the bible to justify executing people without mercy-all that is completely false. I won't even justify your comment with a response concerning that. Then you sign your posts "love"- seems about as far from love as you can get.,
If you don't believe in the inerrancy of the Bible, it is permissible then to cherry pick what suits you & view it as a quaint collection if human writings & scoff at others who believe that God created the world as He said in Genesis, and in Noah's Ark and that Jonah was swallowed by a whale etc...You will interpret the Bible to fit your view of the world. You say the Bible was inspired but it is still just human writings. It is a socialist gospel you believe. We couldn't be further apart.

Let’s just agree that we stick to very different Biblical hermeneutics. Mine bringing me to the conclusion that to care for the least of these is to care for Christ and that the death penalty is vile and unchristian.  I’m very glad that the vast majority of contemporary Christianity, both Catholic and Protestant, has come to the same conclusion and speaks out against it:

“God’s purpose is now to show the rulers and powers in the heavens the many different varieties of his wisdom through the church.” (Eph. 3:10)

I Believe God Spoke Through The Jews As His Living Oracles

What advantage then hath the Jew? or what profit is there of circumcision?

Much every way: chiefly, because that unto them were committed the oracles of God.

For what if some did not believe? shall their unbelief make the faith of God without effect?

God forbid: yea, let God be true, but every man a liar; as it is written,

That thou mightest be justified in thy sayings, and mightest overcome when thou art judged.
Romans 3:1-4

And That God's Word Is Forever Fixed

For ever, O LORD, thy word is settled in heaven. Psalms 119:89

And That Regardless Of Respective Backgrounds (They Are Jews~!)

For I know that my redeemer liveth, and that he shall stand at the latter day upon the earth:

And though after my skin worms destroy this body, yet in my flesh shall I see God:

Whom I shall see for myself, and mine eyes shall behold, and not another; though my reins be consumed within me
. Job 19:25-27

Or Any Unanswered Questions

One thing have I desired of the LORD, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the LORD, and to inquire in his temple. Psalms 27:4

God's Word IS

And Jesus answered him, saying, It is written, That man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God. Luke 4:4

Inerrant

Thy word is true from the beginning: and every one of thy righteous judgments endureth for ever. Psalms 119:160

Of this gospel I was made a minister according to the gift of God’s grace, which was given me by the working of his power. To me, though I am the very least of all the saints, this grace was given, to preach to the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ,

and to bring to light for everyone what is the plan of the mystery hidden for ages in God who created all things, so that through the church the manifold wisdom of God might now be made known to the rulers and authorities in the heavenly places.

This was according to the eternal purpose that he has realized in Christ Jesus our Lord, in whom we have boldness and access with confidence through our faith in him.

So I ask you not to lose heart over what I am suffering for you, which is your glory. Ephesians 3:7-13 (English Standard Version)

Beloved, Ever Wonder

And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.

But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection. Revelation 20:4-5

If There Will Be Justice?

Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord. Romans 12:19

When One Really Looks At The Past, Present And Future

My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children. Hosea 4:6

Slaughter Of The LORD's Beloved Jew

For thus saith the LORD of hosts; After the glory hath he sent me unto the nations which spoiled you: for he that toucheth you toucheth the apple of his eye. For, behold, I will shake mine hand upon them, and they shall be a spoil to their servants: and ye shall know that the LORD of hosts hath sent me.

Sing and rejoice, O daughter of Zion: for, lo, I come, and I will dwell in the midst of thee, saith the LORD.
Zechariah 2:8-19

One Will Understand

When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory:

And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats: And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left.

Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:
Matthew 25:31-34

Jesus

And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.

Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels: For I was an hungred, and ye gave me no meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me no drink:
Matthew 25:40-42

IMO

Then shall they also answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee?

Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me.

And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.
Matthew 25:44-46

No.  not being a fundamentalist chrsitian does not make one automatically liberal.

There are many conservative non-fundamentalist christians in the world dear enoob.  Many, many more than there are fundamentalists.

Some boxes are simply artificially too small.
