Jesus is from "everlasting", he never had a beginning, nor has an end, because he is forever, then why does he say he say this?

Revelation 1:8   I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.

Revelation 22:13   I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last.

Can anyone please explain?

everything was created by Him , and there is not anything made that was made without Him.

all in all.  every molecule, every atom, every substance

everywhere from beginning to end, is held together by Him,

every moment.

nothing was set in motion , then left on its own.

no sheep was ever saved, then abandoned, not even for a nano-second !

all creation, all of everything , alpha to omega, is His.  created by Him.

Held together by Him.  Until .... ... ... ... one day it is rolled up... ... ...

Until then, TORAH will not lose not even one little dot, not even one little period.

in the beginning was the word and the word was with God and word was God, and in the end it is Gods word that shall not pass away, for all of our life and being is based on the word of God, for he breathed into you and a soul was given, Jesus is the same yesterday today and tomorrow, He is I am, and we are in awe, He is our father , and we obey, He is our high priest, and we listen to His teachings, He died on the cross, so that we can live again, how beautiful to stand that day in the presence of our lord, in His splendor and beauty, and to know that He loves me, how sweet the sound , of His words as they move me to the light,

for there is no other that is awesome  as He ,for His love endures forever, to them that heeds the call.

It is because Jesus -- the eternal Word and the eternal Son of God -- is from everlasting that He is also the beginning (or Alpha, being the first letter of the Greek alphabet) of all things in the universe, and He will also be the ending of all things (or the Omega).  IOW, all power (including all creative power) and all authority belongs to Christ. After He has subdued all things to Himself, He will hand over the Kingdom of God to the Father.

Hi Sister,

Great topic. I always thought that `Apha & Omega` meant `the beginning & the ending,` until I read C.J. Rolls books on the Titles of Christ.

The 3 titles describe Christ`s eternal attributes - Omniscience, Omnipresence, & Omnipotence.

His Omniscience “I am the Alpha & Omega,”

Christ is the whole alphabet, from whom the entire vocabulary for expressing revealed truth is derived. All the treasures of wisdom & knowledge are in Him. There is no such thing as knowledge before Him & there cannot be any beyond Him. ` Christ, in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom & knowledge.` (Col. 2: 3)

Christ, as the Alpha & Omega, is the only way to spiritual secrets, He is the key to unlock the treasures of truth, Himself the interpreter of the invisible, & the Door of entrance to eternal enjoyment.   `At your right hand are pleasure for evermore.` (Ps. 16: 11)

His Omnipresence “The Beginning & the End.”

Christ commenced & will conclude all time periods. He conceived the duration of the ages & will yet crown & consummate the ages to come. Everything is under His control. And no event came before the exercise of His will & none will come after His counsel.

`Now when all things are made subject to Him, then the Son Himself will also be subject to Him who put all things under Him, that God may be all in all. (1 Cor. 15: 28)

In Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily; therefore outside of Christ there is no wider, broader, deeper, higher, greater or vaster measure or authority known.

`For in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily;  & you are complete in Him, who is the head of all principality & power.(Col. 2: 9 & 10)

His Omnipotence “which is, was & is to come, the Almighty,”

The strength of Christ`s might & majesty transcend all others in ability & authority.  He is the competent  & self-sufficient One in His almightiness.

When we pause to ponder His enormous energy, His great power, His awesome strength & might, these qualities with their tremendous potential causes us to tremble . But, when we turn & learn of the blended qualities of goodness, gracious care, glorious love which are lavished so freely, our fears depart for we view His heart.

`God who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in trespasses made us alive together with Christ (by grace have you been saved), & raised us up together, & made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, that in the ages to come He might show the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness towards us in Christ Jesus.`(Eph. 2: 4 – 8)

Is. 55:11 So shall My Word be that goes forth [= Alpha] from My mouth;
It shall not return [= Omega] to Me void,
But it shall accomplish what I please,
And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.

All those answers are good, but no one has pinned the tail on the donkey yet to satisfy my question.

Jesus has no beginning and end, he is from everlasting.  Why even mention there is an end when he is forever.  There is no end, this is my point.

The point is that there is an end -- an end to all things as we know them. Time will end, the heavenly bodies will end, the earth as we know it will end, Hades will end, death will end, and so on.  So Christ is the one who brings all this to an end, before He ushers in eternity and the New Heavens and the New Earth.

Great question sister.

The Alpha ---> In the beginning God...

The Omega ----> Jesus delivers the kingdom up unto God the Father which never changes again.

Jesus beginning was being the lamb slain before the world ever was.  Jesus end is after having subdued all things he simply can walk amongst us as one of us.

Gods ways are not our ways.  When I receive power I desperately try to cling to it and enjoy having pre-eminence amongst the people due to the pride of life.  Jesus however is different.  He doesn't care to be the bigshot.  He doesn't care for limelight and worship.  He cares for the things of God which include putting us before himself.

From a human stand point that is insane!  But from Gods perspective it is cherishable!!!

One of the most absolute truths of evidence is simply who and where we are... we all know we have beginning and ending and it
is experiential. The Revelation of Christ begins at Gen 1:1 'In the beginning' this is subject to all that has beginning and God tells
us He does not... then within Scripture God interacts with this constant reality of begin and end through all times and peoples
that we might see Him In Scripture as not having thus... He has established Himself in our experience through Scripture as our
Creator, ( I Am The Alpha ) >our begin<, and the Redeemer, ( The Omega)  >'Yet though I die I live'<; through these two experiences
which is all of which we can know <-> faith is applied by Scripture to carry us to that which we do not know but have a substance
of hope in which we will trade all that we have for that which we do not know in created essence... Simply Jesus 'IS' the begin
and end of each of us even if we refuse to believe it ... for it is so by His Word!  Love, Steven

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
