Interesting fact about Enoch's generations

     Haven't seen you in quite some time,nice t7o see you & I do hope you have been well.....if I may stick my 2 cents in?

I don't think it is that "some people " have any "problems" concerning the Book of Enoch but rather a concern with what some Christians do with the information they "gather " from it,,,,,,,,,,,& the ones that voiced their opinion here I do know & I think it is safe to say they are not big fans of the 'Left Behind" series as well                                             Love,Kwik

I am most definitely not a fan of the Left Behind Series.  Not at all.

I do read extra-Biblical things - for historical information, scientific information, and just for the plain old literary value of it.

What I do not read or persuade others to read - if I can help it - is extra-Biblical information that contradicts the Word of God and is being passed off as truth.

You do know that the Left Behind series is fiction, right? It's not in the same category as the books that were excluded from the Bible; those are would be Scripture that was not accepted by God.  Why would you equate the two?

Those books are part of what made the pre-trib rapture doctrine so popular. I have searched the Bible through and cannot find a pre-trib rapture in it. Oh I know all the verses that the pre-trib crowd claims support their doctrine, but if they would take the emotions that books and movies like the left behind series, out of the equation, they could see the truth in the scriptures.

And this is related to the Book of Enoch and his generations in what way?? You are taking the thread off topic.  This is not a PreTrib, PostTrib, No Trib thread.

The book of Enoch has quite a bit of truth in it, which can be backed up by the Bible.

the thread went off topic when the book of Enoch came up......   the thread was about who was alive before others died.

That's interesting.  It's quite possible the Kabbalah has adopted some of the information in Enoch for their own purposes, and mixed it up with their own teachings.  Just like many so called "Christian religions".

I'm going to take a closer look at this part before I comment.  Looks interesting.

Yes I hadn't realised before how closely related Noah was to Enoch.  It just jumped out at me how Enoch's writings survived the flood through his Son and Grandson, then on to Noah.

 And deceit shall have sprung up;  And IN IT there shall be the FIRST END (the flood),  And IN IT, a MAN shall be SAVED (Noah);  And AFTER it is ended (the flood) UNRIGHTEOUSNESS shall grow up (Babel),  And a LAW shall be made for the SINNERS. (Moses with the 10 commandments)
