The USMC PFT is the same as it has been for more than 30 years (with the exception of situps being replaced by crunches which happened 20ish years ago), Pull ups/Flex arm hang, crunches and a 3 mile run. The scoring has not changed. The US Navy has updated their standards, previously you could fail 3 PRTs in 4 years before being discharged now it is 2 in 3 years. The US Air Force has changed in that now everyone has to do the same PFT, while in the past it was based upon job assignment. Also they have added in a waist measurement that was not there before looking for those who are over weight. They haven't reduced the standards yet, but there has been a lot of pressure to reduce the standards and military has taken that possibility seriously.
