Hope this is the right spot: Is the source of the book of Revelation as we know them really the remnants of a pagan Sybiline prophecy scroll set?

I was listening to a broadcast once and it was said that a pagan Sybil in Rome or somewhere near had come to the local Monarch with a proposal. She'd recorded prophetic sight that had to do with that leaders future and world events. She gave a price the ruler refused. The Sybil departed into the courtyard of the palace grounds and burned three of the 12 scrolls . She offered the remainder to the Monarch at the first price she'd given for the original 12. He refused. She burned three more scrolls in the courtyard. Finally having but 6 left the king conceded and bought the scrolls.

Those are what became the book of Revelation today? And that is why the argument is also made that all events are describing the Caesar cults of the time and have transpired already.

I'm curious because I'd not heard about the sybil before. I know it sounds like the rumors that Osiris preceded Christ and we're a pagan mystery faith death cult following older traditions under the guise of Easter, Christmas, and so-fourth. No disrespect intended.  Looking forward to an open discussion. If this isn't the right place please move me if this line of questioning is OK here.

Did the prophecies of Sybil become the book of Revelation? Plain and simple, NO. YES the Sybil was real but the Book of Revelation came from God through John. To deny this is to call God a liar.

All those older traditions borrowed from the one true source, not the other way around.

That's a fascinating question that I've not run across before.

I'll have to look around and see if there was ever anything of similar nature written.

It's my understanding that her original books were kept in the Ttemple of Jupiter and were destroyed in a fire in 89 BC.  I don't know when she wrote them.  Supposedly  she was 900 years old.

"Supposedly" ? So no-one knows?

I think this is laughable to try to compare this fairytale with the Bible.

These prophets are backed by the dark forces of the fallen angels and are not just making stuff up.  The dark side seems to have some idea of what is happening.... They have plans and almost always make them known ahead of time...  but we should keep in mind that the forces they have attached themselves to ore of Satan and those who have followed his rebellion.  Their agenda is to do whatever they can to distance us from the God head.  I don't think we really know how much of the future they are aware of or how they may have learned of it.
