Wasn't Moses' second wife black?  When Moses' sister Miriam disapproved, God gave her leprosy and the diseased area turned white.  God disapproves of any kind of racism.  He doesn't look at outward appearance but looks at the heart.  Miriam's heart was evil in God's sight for her speaking against Moses for marrying an Ethiopian woman.  Moses' heart was humble and God approved of him.

Num 12:1  Then Miriam and Aaron spoke against Moses because of the Ethiopian woman whom he had married; for he had married an Ethiopian woman.

Num 12:2  So they said, "Has the LORD indeed spoken only through Moses? Has He not spoken through us also?" And the LORD heard it.

Num 12:3  (Now the man Moses was very humble, more than all men who were on the face of the earth.)

Num 12:4  Suddenly the LORD said to Moses, Aaron, and Miriam, "Come out, you three, to the tabernacle of meeting!" So the three came out.

Num 12:5  Then the LORD came down in the pillar of cloud and stood in the door of the tabernacle, and called Aaron and Miriam. And they both went forward.

Num 12:6  Then He said, "Hear now My words: If there is a prophet among you, I, the LORD, make Myself known to him in a vision; I speak to him in a dream.

Num 12:7  Not so with My servant Moses; He is faithful in all My house.

Num 12:8  I speak with him face to face, Even plainly, and not in dark sayings; And he sees the form of the LORD. Why then were you not afraid To speak against My servant Moses?"

Num 12:9  So the anger of the LORD was aroused against them, and He departed.

Num 12:10  And when the cloud departed from above the tabernacle, suddenly Miriam became leprous, as white as snow. Then Aaron turned toward Miriam, and there she was, a leper.

Four ethnic groups are represented among our church's deacons and elders.  They were chosen because of their godly humble hard working character.

Hi Fid Def,

I've never read of any description of Jesus except for what you posted.

To be honest, I don't know what to think.

I'm not doubting your genuiness in posting them, but really, how reliable are they and why isn't that common knowledge if it is true?

I haven't heard any preachers mention Jesus's looks.

The reason you have not heard this is that it is historical facts that most pastors don't teach. Pontius Pilate was Roman Governor, and he had to send every correspondence and interview with a criminal, especially one claiming to be King. Pilate thus had to send a letter to Cesar Tiberius, and another copy to the Roman Senate, Rome Italy as back up copy; Roman Law required this and so the documents were preserved for posterity. The Achko Volume where Gamaliel interviews Jesus is a Jewish Historical document, Gamaliel was one who defend the Apostles before Sanhedrin (Acts 5:34-39), he famously said, "but if this is from God, you will not be able to stop it, and you will find yourself at war with God." Gamaliel was also the one who trained the Apostle Paul (Acts 22:3). Josephus saw Jesus be crucified because he was Jew and scribe for the Romans and documented the Fall of Jerusalem (A.D. 70, not long after Jesus death in 33 A.D.) to the Romans in famous book "The Antiquity of the Jews," and "The Jewish Wars." Another reason you don't know Jesus was blond and blue eyed and fair skinned, is that there is Arabizing of Jesus to look like Isa (in Quran) thanks to a supposed find by National Geographic Archeologist, keep in mind Neo Geo aired James Cameron's antichrist piece about Tomb of Jesus. Jesus was not dark skinned because bodily he was descendant of David, and David description is, "So he sent and brought him in. Now he was ruddy, with beautiful eyes and a handsome appearance. And the Lord said, “Arise, anoint him; for this is he.” 13 Then Samuel took the horn of oil and anointed him in the midst of his brothers; and the Spirit of the Lord came mightily upon David from that day forward. And Samuel arose and went to Ramah." (1 Samuel 16:12-13), ruddy is this, "

rud·dy
ˈrədē/
adjective
adjective: ruddy; comparative adjective: ruddier; superlative adjective: ruddiest
  1. 1.
(of a person's face) having a healthy red color.
"a cheerful pipe-smoking man of ruddy complexion"
    • having a reddish color.
      "the ruddy evening light"
synonyms: rosy, red, pink, roseate, rubicund; More
      healthy, glowing, fresh;
      flushed, blushing;
      florid, high-colored;
      literaryrubescent
      "a ruddy complexion"
      antonyms: pale
  2. 2.
    Britishinformal
used as a euphemism for “bloody.”.
synonyms: rosy, red, pink, roseate, rubicund; More." (Dictionary.com).

Most Jews I meet in Israel are blue eyed, fair skinned, with blond or black hair. The Asdic Jews and Sephardic Jews are dark skinned, as are Ethiopian Jews, and etc. But Jesus was Nazarene, and those of Nazaarus were all blond and blue eyed (Malachi Martin, King of Kings, top anthropologist).

Why do you think Jesus Christ Superstar, Jesus Of Nazarus, Jesus ABC film, and most films for long time had Jesus white, blond/dirty blond, and blue eyed?

It doesnt remotely matter what color Jesus was.

What matters is who He is, what He came here to do, and what that means to us.

She was eithipoian.  So I am sure she was black.    We know skin tone don't mean a rip.     What matters is are they Spirit tone.  that is our family, those of THE SPIRIT>

Thanks for replying FD,

I think I'm more shocked about learning that there is historical evidences concerning the description of Jesus's looks more than anything - after having believed all these years that there was none.

What will really interest you then is there is bonifide letter written by Jesus to the King of Edessa, who wanted Jesus to come heal his servant, but Jesus was at Passover, the night before Good Friday and couldn't go for obvious reasons. :)

This I know, however I didnt know that Jesus had replied to the letter.

I also had no idea Pilate had met Jesus prior to condemning Jesus to be executed  - I haven't read that elsewhere apart from this thread.

Pilate actually became a Christian and protected Christians, but was killed because his loyalty to Church conflicted with his loyaly to Roman Law and Rome. He was executed. (Eusebius, The History of the Church).

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
