Once again, some of the reports and analysis are written by people who have dedicated many years to the study on Islamic terror. I for one appreciate their insights, and unlike yourself do not see them stating that ISIS is clearly responsible for this attack. What I do see though, is the absurdity in claiming their study "is helping to spread terror", which you so often claim. 

You claim that its all just speculation, isn't a lot of it speculation at this stage, are the authorities still speculating regarding motive? As of today, I believe the authorities are still refusing to rule anything out.

This was the exact claim made by the Amaq news agency, which is the official ISIS news agency. 

It was not a remote operative, it was same way they took credit for the Las Vegas shooting.

I did 20 years in the Marines and at one time was certified to train people in every automatic weapon the Marines had.

As for your question, I am not sure he was "unfit" but nothing he did was really all that technically demanding.   The use of the bump stock just takes practice, modifying an AR-15 to be fully automatic takes 15 minutes and is not hard at all.   He choose a tactically advantageous position and the actual shooting part did not take much skill as he was just spraying rounds down from a higher point. 

From what I read over the course of a few days he made multiple trips from his vehicle to his room, bringing in the guns and ammo a little bit at time.

I didn't see that Gator....   and myself and two close friends keep a close watch on that site along with Dabiq  If it was there then I stand corrected.     Like I said before I am not saying this was Islamic terrorism yet.   My personal view puts it much deeper spiritually but I don't know enough about his history to know.

   I would say "yes" an individual could pull it off & I don't believe we know very much about this 64 year old retired accountant......amatuer?Doubt it .....who knows? I do know there are an awful lot of people that need our prayers through this time  of their tragic losses.......

it might help if we could trust what is put out...  either by the government, the news people or even local people when the government has gotten involved.
