I've noticed here on Worthy recently there's been a number of threads suddenly removed and deleted, such as ; Does the Holy Spirit laugh, and Guns or Security Guards in Churches, among others.

I didn't notice an inordinate amount of bickering, personal attacks or Worthy rules being broken unless I missed them or didn't pay attention. Certainly the moderators have every right to delete and remove any thread they deem inappropriate, or for whatever reason chosen. But it would be nice to realize what the offense(s) was, such as against Worthy rules? I'm not complaining, but curious.

Thanks.

My big nose is just curious. One day they're there, the next day they're floating around in cyberspace somewhere with no good bye's or anything. Particle physics I suppose?

To give an example. The guns or Security guards thread had 56 pages. Throughout the last 5 to 10 pages there were multiple terms of service violations involving multiple members. We do different things in different situations. Sometimes, and ideally, we will remove an individual from a thread if they are causing problems, sometimes more than one. Sometimes we will lock a thread. In that particular case, it was deleted because there were so many violations in just a small section of it that it would've taken quite a while to go through the entire thread and clean it up, remove any folks causing trouble, etc., and some of them were past the point where I'd have been comfortable simply locking it and leaving it visible with the violations still showing.

The reason for this is that we have a fairly small group of only volunteers. At this moment there are two people moderating the forums and a few others that help with other things such as approvals and being watchful, as well as for accountability for the moderators. When a thread grows to this size and many of the violations are not reported in it, bickering and contention can tend to take it over. Unfortunately, we do not have time to read even a fraction of the posts made here on a daily basis. We rely on members reporting posts that they believe violate the ToS or that they have a question about. Some members never report anything, some members report things frequently. What tends to happen in a thread like this is that someone will be reading through and realize there are a ton of violations and then report them all at once. Had things been reported earlier, before it got out of hand, we could've probably stopped it and preserved the thread. However, that didn't happen in this case.

The upshot of all of this is that probably more threads would be preserved if more posts were reported earlier, but more importantly, more threads would ultimately be preserved if people did not get so personal over simple disagreements in discussions.

Thank you so much! I didn't expect such a detailed and clear response, that more than clears that up.

And by the way, thank you all for volunteering your time and efforts in keeping Worthy the best Christian forum I've ever seen and being a part of. It's a pleasure talking about the Lord and His word with most the folks on here.

Sometimes people complain about a particular thread and get it deleted or the servers do not think it is appropriate for a Christian message board.

None of those reasons were given for my thread's deletion.  Just stating there are many reasons threads are deleted.

I have found that the very best you can do for God is report the truth because in the end, that is all that is relevant.  A thread being deleted isn't important, to God.  We get caught up in wanting approval but no man's approval is necessary, in order to please God.

Romans 12: Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.

Hi eileenhat,

I wasn't complaining or had a grudge, I just wanted to know because I didn't notice what was going on. Personally speaking, I think the moderators are very tolerant and I agree with the rules of conduct.

No, I can also delete my own posts and threads I have started.   It may be assigned by grouping.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
