I love God and I want to worship God, but I never know what to talk to God about. I don't want to be a stranger to him. I mean my conversation is like good morning and good night and thank you. Other then that I don't know what to say.

I find myself talking to Him about many things. Whatever is on your mind, tell Him.

I'm not a big talker myself but I do find praise and worshipping Him is helpful when I am short on words.

And that's the beauty of it .     Praise is one of the best things .     And yowm it don't matter if we sound like a burnt poodle or a scalded cat ,  we sing praises anyway.

Hi Tigger

I love the fact that in a world with so many people, that God knows each of us so well, small things that even we ourselves don't know.

One of my favorite times to talk to the Lord is in the evening, when there are no distractions.

I often tell Him what is on my heart, or how my day has been.

I think it's great to ask about prayer and love the example of the Lord's prayer. I have recently heard some people expand their own prayer based on that prayer.

I would be happy to share more on the prayer if you woukd like.

I also love being able to write my prayers. I write a lot slower than I type, and it gives me more time to think about what I want to say.

Hope this helps :)

Hi,

A few thoughts for consideration:

 One might just get up  at an earlier time than has been the usual habit, and second thing just praise God. Praise Him  before sharing anything else with God, and before asking Him for anything at all. Then one might spend a period of time each day early on, as the third thing of the day,  reading the word of God. Not Worthy Christian Forums, not commentaries, not fictional books about religous subjects, not Facebook friendings, not e-mail, just the word of God. Then pray the prayer of thanks and of eternal security known as the 23rd Psalm in non Roman Catholic Bibles, and the 22nd in their Bibles.

May the praise from the Bible Psalm 150 become an illumination and encouragement. Might try giving thanks all day long as possible,  Thanks for provision of work, food, compensation, family, Friends, and local church body.

May the Holy Spirit aid you in this wondrous privilege.

Psalm 150 English Standard Version (ESV)

Let Everything Praise the Lord

150 Praise the Lord!
Praise God in his sanctuary;
    praise him in his mighty heavens!
Praise him for his mighty deeds;
    praise him according to his excellent greatness!

Praise him with trumpet sound;
    praise him with lute and harp!
Praise him with tambourine and dance;
    praise him with strings and pipe!
Praise him with sounding cymbals;
    praise him with loud clashing cymbals!
Let everything that has breath praise the Lord!
Praise the Lord!

As you have seen, people relate to God in different ways. Find yours.

It may surprise you that you are communing with God in important ways

already.

"Be still and know that HE is God." Follow up: and we're not!

How simple and yet how profound for an intelligent being to acknowledge

the Supreme One in the manner of submission (true submission) to him.

Not telling him "no," seeking his guidance in ALL things... stop trying to

promote ideas like "the world and eternity according to me..."

Here's a biggy... trusting God.

Under the Mosaic Law (the Old Covenant) David ate the show bread which was

forbidden to all but the priests. He and his men ate. Jesus' disciples ate wheat

they gathered on the Sabbath in a field. Common thread through each scenario:

they trusted God and their "belief" was credited to them as righteousness in the eyes of God.

Same with Abraham.

Believe God. Trust God.

Good grief, if people simply did this, truly did this, we'd see miracles happen that would defy

scientific explanation... but we're afraid... (read that untrusting and unbelieving).

Does anyone today, in out enlightened age of technology and science DARE invoke the name

of Jesus over a dying person? Over and dead person? "Get UP in Jesus name?"

Of course not. Too afraid it would make US look stupid if they don't jump up and do the jig.

What to say? Specifically? What to talk about?

Talk about everything. All the time. Be in constant communion with God (or pray without ceasing).

It's for OUR benefit after all. Not God's. He knows us to the subatomic particle, to the minutest detail in our thoughts (ALL of them)

And since he still loves us and wants to commune with us means we must not be as mixed up / terrible as we feel.

There is a certainty, a self assurance in walking with God in this way, an appreciation of how all things make sense in the scope of the over all

plan God has. He truly is our DADDY (ABBA). He wants us to bring our concerns and our joys and our accomplishments to him like that little

kid who sits in their father's lap holding a shamrock or crying over a meanness done to them or asking to borrow the spiritual keys to the car...

God doesn't want part of anything about us. He wants it all. He loves us and wants a parent - child relationship with us (while never forgetting

he is our lord and master , of course).  He is God, after all. And we are not.

I talk to him throughout the day about everything going on in my life.  He is your friend.  What would you say to a friend sitting or standing next to you?

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

      Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

      This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

      You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

      Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

      I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

      For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

      2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

      So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

      Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
      Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

      Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

      As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

      Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
      Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

      So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
