Dan. 11:40-45; there are only two kings pictured NOT three.

At the end time the king of the South will collide with him (the King of the North), and the king of the North will storm against him (the King of the South) with chariots, with horsemen and with many ships; and he will enter countries, overflow them and pass through. He will also enter the Beautiful Land, and many countries will fall; but these will be rescued out of his hand: Edom, Moab and the foremost of the sons of Ammon. Daniel 11 uses the phrase "in his estate/place/stead" a number of times when the northern kingdom transitioned from one king to another. In my understanding, the wording indicates that the angelic spiritual ruler of the nation was possessing and/or controlling another human ruler. Daniel 10 clearly describes the heavenly spirits over the nations of Greece, Persia, and Israel.

Therefore, while the king of the south will be a human ruler, I believe that the spiritual ruler over him will be the one all those Islamic nations that you mention above worship: Allah.

Its always the same Demonic Entity, but people just don't realize it. But its over the Mediterranean Sea Region as a whole. Apollyon was the Prince of Persia who resisted Micheal when he desired, per Gods orders no doubt, that Grecia should defeat Persia via Alexander the Great.  (That is why Alexander won so speedily no doubt, who can resist God). 

What most don't understand is Apollyon was OF THE SEVEN (Rev. 17:11 And the beast that was, and is not, even he is the eighth, and is of the seven, and goeth into perdition.) thus when Grecia defeated Persia, even though he resisted, he being placed over the region by Satan, thus became the "Prince of Grecia" and on and on. He was over Babylon and Rome also, and over Egypt and Assyria and will be over the Anti-Christ THUS....He was of the SEVEN !!

So this Apollyon will be over the King of the North, the "STRONG MAN" so to speak. The KOTN will wipe out Islam. Its just common sense, if you want a ONE WORLD GOVERNMENT, trying to bring all religions together would be the most boneheaded play of all time, we can't even get Baptists and Methodists to agree on anything, its just not a move a brilliant man would make AT ALL. A wise man would understand that in order to get the world to worship me as the ONLY GOD, I have to wipe out Islam, the very people who will kill other people over a joke about Allah, they will never worship him as god, he knows this, thus he wipes them out and places the FEAR OF GOD in everybody else !! And wipes out anyone who will not worship him. 

So I am not saying you are wrong at all, I think they are Muslim Nations that push at him, but I think Apollyon will be on the KOTN's side here. Thus the KOTS gets wiped out. If that makes sense.

Makes good sense.  I prefer the name Azazel (the name found in Lev. 16 and 1 Enoch) however, although Apollyon/Destroyer is probably more of a descriptive title than a name.

At lot of people just skip over the implications of the phrase in red. The "latter" return of course must refer to the King of the North's invasion of Egypt in the End Times (11:42), since Antiochus only invaded Egypt twice.

As to the latter King of the North being the"Antichrist/Beast," here I must disagree. The spiritual descendant of Antiochus IV will be the Son of Perdition of 2 Thes. 2. He will defile the Holy Place (2 Thes. 2:4 = Matt. 24:15), which will occur sometime after he "shall plant the tents of his pavilion between (the) seas at the glorious holy mountain," Dan. 11:45. This will bring on the "time of trouble such as never was since there was a nation" (12:1), that is, the Great Tribulation, just as Jesus told us in Matthew 24 -- 

Matt. 24:15 “Therefore when you see the ‘abomination of desolation,’ spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place” ... 21 then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of the world until this time, no, nor ever shall be."

The Son of Perdition meets his demise soon afterward, when the Lord appears and the Rapture takes place --

24:29 "...after the tribulation of those days [when] the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light, [and] the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken. 30 ... and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. 31 ... and [He] will gather together His elect..."

2 Thes 2:8 ... the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord will consume with the spirit of His mouth and destroy with the brightness of His coming.

The Beast only arises from the Abyss and the sea AFTER these things take place; the elect of the Church by then having been removed.

Apollyon is the same fallen angel who has and will over all of the 7 kingdoms given in scripture  [Revelation 17:8-18]

He is noted as coming out of the abyss in Revelation 9:11

He went to the abyss after his rule of the 5th kingdom which was the Seleucid kingdom of Antiochus IV

After the church age is finished [Romans 11:25] He will be released to rule again for 7 years during the coming tribulation period

This same fallen angel is the beast of Revelation 13

There will be two kingdoms, one after the other .... the 6th smaller and 7th larger

He will rule through the human little horn in both and then become the 8th ruling over all 7

But he will come to his ending by the Lord here [Revelation 19:17-21]

Hes also called Abaddon, he is the Scarlet Colored Beast of Revelation 17 hence he is described with NO CROWNS. The Red Dragon has 7 Crowns on the 7 Heads showing he is over all Earthly Kingdoms of which this is just one area which has been ruled by 7 Kingdoms down through the ages. The Beast of Revelation 13 has 10 CROWNS on the 10 HORNS showing the Anti-Christ is over the 10 Kings that give their power unto him.

The son of perdition only means hes destined for hell fire. The Anti-Christ, as we know by prophecy is going to be cast into hell see Daniel 7:11 and Revelation 19:20. He does plant his palace in Jerusalem between the Mediterranean Sea and the Dead Sea [which will live again when Jesus returns]. The greatest troubles will come next or at the same time.

The Rapture takes place before the 70th week, the Second Coming and the Rapture are Two-different events. Matt. 24:29-31 is the Second Coming. 

You are confusing the Scarlet Colored Beast with the Beast (MAN) that arises in Rev. 13, they are not the same. 

The Beast/Anti-Christ is a MAN thus 2 Thess. 2:3 calls him the Man of Sin.

The Scarlet Dragon is Apollyon, he is/was placed over the Mediterranean Sea Region by Satan the Red Dragon Beast. 

A Beast only represents and Animal in type a predator which rules over something or BEASTS over something.

1.) Satan is the ruler over this world, he tried to get Jesus to bow down unto him in Luke ch. 4 and stated that if he did so he could have every Kingdom in all the world for it was GIVEN UNTO HIM to do as he willed with. Thus hes a BEAST over all the World, thus the Mediterranean Sea Region is just one of his Kingdoms.

2.) Apollyon is over.... "ONLY"....the Mediterranean Sea Region, he is one of the Principalities in High Places that Paul spoke about...............Ephesians 6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. (THINK: Apollyon here, New York City has a Demon assigned to it, the Northeast New England region has a demon assigned to it, Brazil, South Africa etc. etc. etc.) So Apollyon is over the Mediterranean Sea Region (MSR).

3.) The Anti-Christ becomes the BEAST only after he Conquers the Mediterranean Sea Region (THE MANY) and Israel. As every Beast in the Region has done, they have been over Israel and MANY OTHERS in the Region via Egypt, Assyria, Babylon, Persia, Grecia, Rome and the COMING Beast/Little Horn. 

So the MAN who becomes the LAST BEAST does not arise out of the Bottomless Pit brother, Apollyon is just over that Region (MSR) and thus he is released to bring forth another Beast to Conquer the Area and Israel once again, he was placed in the Bottomless Pit because Israel was as Dead unto God after they rejected Jesus see Ezekiel 37, God sees Israel as Dead Men's Bones, but then in 1948 God raises up Israel again by conjoining those bones with sinew. There could be NO BEAST with NO ISRAEL to Beast over !!
