:amen: Good advice. I can attest to that. I have been making a point of doing that lately and it definitely helps. In fact, my posting this poem is a way of reaching out to those who may need to hear they are not isolated in their struggles. It is good to practice edification as the scripture sets forth. 1 Thessalonians 5:11 says,"Wherefore comfort yourselves together, and edify one another, even as also ye do." Sometimes I am just in too much physical pain to actually do something to help. But in those moments I can still pray for others... Intercession is so important.

Apart from Jesus it is true, we are worthless! Our worth is found only as we find ourselves in Him...

Foe example read just Ephesians 1 and notice all the blessings that are found in the expression 'in whom' (KJV) or 'in Him' (most other versions).

Thanks for pointing this out. I went to Ephesians 1 just now and looked at it more closely. I found several 'in whom', just as you'd said. Oddly enough, I never thought about it that much in the way that you'd explained it.  So I am glad  :) you brought it to my attention.

Hi all,

I confess that I think I never feel small, nor not wanted at all. I may be alone, I may be alone in a crowd. Yet, I never feel small at all.

I think of the fly on the wall poem ( My mother'sversion) and then I don't feel so small at all. I am happy to be where I am, and what I am, for it is what God made me to be.

My mother used to entertain me with it:

Little fly upon the wall
Ain't you got no friends at all?
Ain't you got no father, mother?
Ain't you got no sister, brother?
Ain't you got no shabby shirt?
Ain't you got no petticoat?
Little fly, d'you want to see God?

Splat!

I am not a speck on the wall I am what God has made me to be. Glory be to God for his kindness.

PLEASE READ THIS EVEN THOUGH LONG ( INCLUDES A POEM I WROTE WITH YOU IN MIND)

A POEM FOR YOU GUYS WITH A LONG BUT HEARTFELT INTRO:

TONIGHT I WAS FEELING DOWN AND QUESTIONING THE MEANING OF MY LIFE.
IT WAS THEN THAT GOD LED ME TO WRITE THIS POEM.
I FELT LIKE I SHOULD SHARE IT WITH YOU GUYS.
I KNOW THERE MUST BE OTHERS OUT THERE
WHO FEEL THIS WAY, TOO.

SO THIS POEM GOES OUT WITH LOVE FROM ME TO YOU.
IT IS DEDICATED TO THOSE WHO STRUGGLE WITH CONFUSION,
LONELINESS AND DEPRESSION.

WE ALL HAVE OUR OWN STORIES AND UNIQUE REASONS.

MINE HAS MUCH TO DO WITH HOW LIMITED I AM BY
MY CHRONIC HEALTH ISSUES
AND DISABILITIES THAT
KEEP ME HOME BOUND.
WHAT'S YOUR STORY?
SHARE, IF YOU LIKE.

I HOPE THIS CAN SPUR ON A DISCUSSION
OF WAYS TO COUNTERACT SATAN'S LIES
THAT TRY TO DRAG US DOWN.

FOR ME THERE IS NOTHING
MORE POWERFUL THAN THE CROSS.
1 Corinthians 1:18 "For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness;
but unto us which are saved it is the power of God."

PLEASE COMMENT. I'D LOVE TO HEAR YOUR THOUGHTS!!!!

SOMETIMES I FEEL

SOMETIMES I FEEL SO VERY SMALL
LIKE NO ONE KNOWS I'M HERE AT ALL

I WONDER WHY I'M ON THIS EARTH
AND FEEL I HAVEN'T ANY WORTH

BUT THEN I THINK THIS CAN'T BE RIGHT
AND I MUST WALK BY FAITH, NOT SIGHT

FOR IF I TRUST WHAT SCRIPTURES SAY
I KNOW IT CAN NOT BE THAT WAY

THOUGH FOLKS AT TIMES MAY BE UNKIND
THE SAVIOR DIED WITH ME IN MIND

HE LOVED ME AND HE TOOK MY PLACE
SO ALL MY SINS HE COULD ERASE

THERE WILL BE TIMES I FEEL ALONE
AND MY LIFE'S PURPOSE SEEMS UNKNOWN

BUT SATAN CAN NOT TAKE FROM ME
WHAT JESUS DID AT CALVARY!

Lovely poem. The truth is that u never have to feel worthless because you're NOT. Take this from a teen, we all worry about work, health or whatever but we don't need to because we have JESUS and PRAYERS. Whenever i have problems (big or small) i take them to God. And he ALWAYS answers, just in a way we might not expect. You may question God because things didn't go as u planned but  Man Proposes God Disposes. He knows why u had that disease or why u had that accident or why u got divorced or whatever. It is because he loves u and has plans 4 u. E.g A man who was rich and now poor may blame God for his "misfortune". He doesn't know that it was part of God's plan for him to become poor so he may experience what others are suffering and become a philanthropist. And ofcourse he will learn skills and make friends with people he might not have made friends with when he was rich. So noone has to feel worthless because God loves them and has plans for them. Remember this: Everytime life gives u lemons is an opportunity from God to refresh yourself with lemonade

God Bless U Always

Thank you. :) That is kind of you. Intercessory prayers for one another are so important in the body of Christ! Please read my update below, which I will be posting shortly.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
