James is talking to people that believe in “One God”.......most people believed in thousands of God’s back then and James is letting those who think they are hot stuff because they at least had the sense to reduce  the amount of God’s to one, that they are in error if they think they can stop there......

 “ Dead Faith”  is STILL Faith......not very desirable but it beats the heck out of “NO” Faith .A dead cow produces no milk, but it is still a cow—-A Believer who does not go on to perform the “ good works” that we were all created for will not be blessed in this lifetime nor will he be rewarded in the Next One.Those with NO faith are the ones that will be damned—- those that have put their Faith in Jesus to save them have Eternal Life.....If they choose to sit on that faith and not go on to do the things that please God , they will only hurt themselves. If they ever once turned to God as a lost sinner and put their faith in the Gospel......God will keep His Promise to Save them....

Any Believer is free to live in sin if he so chooses.Some Fools have to learn the hard way, and God has a way to deal with it. Why do you think the Bible talks about “ Chastisement?” When my Children disobey me— they pay the consequences —- no matter what they do, they are “still” my Children......If you are a Child Of God ( become one by Believing 1Cor15:1-4 ) I am sorry.......you are Stuck with it.You May arrive in Heaven with many bruises on your behind, but you WILL arrive......We are Saved by what we Believe......NOT by how we behave....we should rejoice over that Truth......if you choose “ behavior” over Grace as the Way To get to Heaven, the Standard is perfection......good luck with that!  God bless....

I honestly think the problem is , that most dont truly understand what REAL geuine BELIEF is .    Because as we see even the devils KNOW who he is , they knew who he was .  THEY knew HE was the messiah 

and james does a good example about that .  He says even the devils believe and tremble .   then goes on to say faith without works really is dead .   And i used to live that life too .

This might scare the socks off of some , but i actually had heard the gosple as a four year old child ,   later again at age eight .     I even had an debate one day , while i was still in the marines 

with an athiest and flat out told the dude if he did not BELEIVE in CHRIST that he would end up in hell fire . 

Yet had i died that night with the athiest , WE would have both been sentenced to that lake of fire .   I KNOW what   speak about . I KNOW how dark i really was , how i lived in sin 

lusted ,  living for the flesh .  YET i could also be nice , i could give money to those who needed it .  Treated folks very kind .  YET I WAS NOT a TRUE BELIEVER at all and my FRUITS SHOWED IT .

But praise be to GOD , many many years later ,  HE actually did draw me to the SON . that day everything changed .   Old direction was GONE and whole new desires to KNOW HIM .

There is a huge difference between real faith and dead faith .  I LIVED dead faith for many years .   PRAISE be to GOD who actually drew me to JESUS and changed my entire heart and my direction was TOTAL OPPOSITE . 

But something else a lot of folks dont get is this ,     SIN itself can harden the heart .  it can .  i have watched folks be destroyed by sin and even end up either following a false jesus that feeds the flesh 

or they abandon it all together . EITHER way they abandon the first faith .    IF the apostels warned about having to endure Faithful to the end and REMINDED the church that iN HIM we have all we need

but that we better heed the spirit and not the flesh . and quite a few other serious warnings .  THEN how come this geneartion is so silent about all those reminders .    WE need to FOLLOW JESUS 

not an acroymn .  HE IS our eternal security , but as HE , paul and others warned about ,  Continue in HIM and bY HIM to the end . CONTINUE in the goodness of GOD , or be cast out .

if they warned ,  we should too . SO remember JESUS alone is savoir , JESUS alone gives us all we need .  Thus let us warn as did HE , and let us warn and remind as did the apostels 

let us remind about ALL things HE taught .    Yet if we had the SPIRIT would we not be doing this anway .  GOD changed me ,  i did not change me ,  i did not put the desire to seek GOD in me . HE DID .

So lets read bibles more than ever and continously and just watch how fast and beautiful things would be cleared up .     Not saying you disagree with one bit of what i am saying .

I just wanted to remind every one of us about this .

Once you become born again, you'll understand.

We are not saved by Faith.  We are saved by GOD, thru faith.

Faith is not the savor.... JESUS is the Savor.
