Pauls Gospel says we can “ be ready” by believing his Gospel , given to him personally by Jesus Christ. Read 1 cor15:1-4. Believe it and don’t add to it with your works and you are good to go.Faith plus nothing.

how can you keep it simple

Forget the last days, you'll only confuss people it is more important to get them talking about Jesus.

Questions to ask are:-

                                     Why do you believe that?

What evidence do you have for that belief?

and be sure to be able to answer these questions yourself.

No need to warn anyone. Share the gospel. Share what the bible actually says and let them get their own warnings. "Warnings" are important insomuch as they can sell books. Just ask Hal Lyndsey. ;)

The great commission is about sharing the gospel, not "warnings".

Therefore watch, and remember, that by the space of three years I ceased not to warn every one night and day with tears.

I write not these things to shame you, but as my beloved sons I warn you.

Nevertheless, if thou warn the wicked of his way to turn from it; if he do not turn from his way, he shall die in his iniquity; but thou hast delivered thy soul.

Sorry, I thought you were talking about end times stuff. Those verses are all warnings of a different type. The first two are warnings to professing Christians, not the lost world. The first is a warning against false teaching. The second is a warning about taking on a lifestyle and attitude of arrogance, and juxtaposing it against Paul's lifestyle, and a call to immitate it.

The last is from the OT and is a warning to the wicked to turn from their way or they will die in their sin. It actually discusses repentance, but at a very high level that those, to whom it was written, did not understand from a Christian perspective. i.e. they did not have Jesus death and resurrection in their minds when they read this, so it's a bit out of scope.

But again, I assumed you were discussing an interpretation of current events as a sort of "end times" things to be warned about. Sorry...

CHAPTER 15

The Resurrection of Christ

1And now I want to remind you, my brothers and sisters, of the Good News which I preached to you, which you received, and on which your faith stands firm. 2That is the gospel, the message that I preached to you. You are saved by the gospel if you hold firmly to it — unless it was for nothing that you believed.

3I passed on to you what I received, which is of the greatest importance: that Christ died for our sins, as written in the Scriptures; 4that he was buried and that he was raised to life three days later, as written in the Scriptures;

Faith IN JESUS .    not faith plus nothing .  for faith without works IS DEAD .

Teach it as FAITH IN CHRIST .    that slogan faith plus nothing contradicts James big time  .   If we have FAITH in CHRIST then we will have works

for it is the SPIRIT that works in us that which is WELL pleasing in HIS SIGHT .

Yall need to quit that faith plus NOTHING .  and say , FAITH IN JESUS .

Faith in Christ produces good works .      But faith without works is dead .

And remember to stir one another up to do good works , for the Spirit would unction us to do that as well .

Did you know the beauty of it is this also .   Works will perfect faith .  Obediance unto HIM will perfect our faith .

But just cease with the faith plus nothing .    Instead say FAITH IN CHRIST .    And a hearer but not a doer ,   NOW their faith is dead .

Dead .   FOR if our faith is real , and we walk by the SPIRIT , then we would do good and not evil , BY THE SPIRIT .

Of course it is faith in Jesus......I thought that would be obvious in a Christian Forum.Perhaps I will fall back on this—NOTHING BUT THE SHED BLOOD OF JESUS FOR SALVATION.PLUS NOTHING.Given enough time, works will follow.God working through us.Works, in and of themselves , do not save, nor do they keep us saved.Reread the words that are capitalized in this post—- THAT is Salvation.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
