because politics across half the world is focused on who is going to control the city of Jerusalem   If the UN was not in NYC it would just be another big city...NYC to my knowledge has not crucified a single person much less our Lord.

There was in the 20th century a popular view among certain Protestant circles that this a prophecy against the Vatican. The reasoning:

Its clearly seen ini their symbol of all seeing eye in their churches, in the US dollar note, they control not only the commodity market for the world but the world as well via the UN
