Name it and Claim it, Prosperity gospel ?

                                                             No.

The key is "“I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing."

If this is true then our prayers will not be for a new car, better job, house etc etc

But we will be praying in accordance with Gods will.

That is the requirement which few of us meet.

If you will remain

I was just meditating on John 15: if you will remain in Him, you will have the grace to face :

  • any trials , any temptation,
  • overcome any mountain of sickness
  • you will get the breakthrough you are believing for
  • you will get your prayers ANSWERED .... if you will remain

But here is the problem

We all want the above but we are not willing to remain at his feet , to let Him consume all of your heart. The more time you spend at the feet of Jesus, the more you will remain, the more fruit you will bear, the stronger your faith will grow and whatever you ask the Father in my name, He will give it to you.

you cannot build intimacy on the run.

what do you think ? I don't think there is any shortcut to fruit bearing or breakthrough.  you will have to remain and seek his face diligently. The Fathers sees and He will reward you openly

Yes, to be a Mary and choose the good thing, to sit at Jesus’s feet and learn of Him.

Remain = abide

Blessings to those willing to remain.

Much love in Christ, Not me

Well said , to be a Mary of Bethany. This woman poured out such costly ointment at the feet of Jesus.

Hi;

I’m sorry, I believe there is a misunderstanding, it wasn’t the Mary I was referring to.

I was referring to the story of Mary and Martha where Jesus told Martha;

“Martha, Martha you are worried about so many things, but one thing is necessary and Mary has chosen the good thing and it will not be taken away from her.”

(my paraphrase)

But I wish you well in your seeing into the story of Mary from Bethany that causes your heart to reach out to Jesus, for in that story is a great truth also.

Blessings,

Much love in Christ, Not me

Ah, yes. As Not me said, 'abide'.

John 15:4  Abide in me, as I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.  KJV

Agreed, no shortcuts to bearing fruit. It takes time to grow.

Just this -

Remain: To me, means to stay with.

Abide: And this means to live with.

It adds a little more significance, I think.

..."there is no shortcut to breakthrough"

Maybe not on Jesus' part, but there sure was for me. For I had no interest in God nor a god at all, but God The Holy Spirit just up and spun me about in an instant. Was not of me, by any desire  or work, nor any of my doing at all.

And here it is some several decades later and that work of God alone is still intact without even a bit of me in play to complete it.  I am not seen by God as wretched; but instead God who cannot abide sin sees me as washed white as snow, in the shed blood sacrifice of His Son alone.

what do you think ?

For some,  for multitudes,  for millions,   the "breakthrough" was sleep /death.

(in the wars the last 120 years,  or even all of them).....

Did they pray for death ?   Maybe.   Did they endure to the end ?   Some did.

Why weren't their prayers answered,  to be "kept from the power of the enemy" ?  (in war time, but also in peace time) .....   Why did they die in prison,  after torture,  for no reason at all ?    Millions this happened to.  Millions of believers.

Sometimes we want now what Gods planned to do in us over 40 years (like prepare a pastor for a certain flock in desperate need) because his purposes for us , or the people he wants you to care for won't be ready for 40 years. We see that call 40 years early. But cant see His diligent preperation for it cause we arn't waiting on the Lord as we walk in discernment of the time and season

Sometimes God is ready to use us now for something and he is supplying us with every good thing for the salvation of someone and we shrink back thinking it not our place because like Israel we dont dicern the time or season. We don't take enough time getting to know God.

I actually think we dont pray for one another enough, either. Probably way too many peopld can't dicern what God is doing or hear him or see where he is working.

Way too many people run off trying to make themselfs into what they think God wants or what they covet or envy in others, or worse create a christian facades and start doing stuff out of its spiritual time and season.

So walk in loyalty and faithfulness desiring to know God, learn to discern the times and season and know the break through comes at the appointed time.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
