Jesus stated it is not sacrifice that is wanted but compassion. Compassion cannot be dictated by governors. Equal distribution schemes are not Christian. They are expedience of governments  in their efforts to kill the individual spirit  that tries to run the race as though to win it and instead encourages settling for half effort at best in  exchange for small portions delivered at the whim of rulers of the masses.

No one saves another, that is the work of the agency of the Holy Spirit alone in revealing Christ Jesus  to individuals that have been foreknown and predestined,  chosen by God alone. Many are called so there is no excuse for any person, but few are chosen,- by God.

Save the soul or save the material body temporarily? I think you confuse both. If Jesus tells us he will judge us according to our deeds to the weak he clearly wants us to do something for there material bodies while saving our souls of course will be not our job. 

 

Further things I don’t understand: If we democratically choose a democratic socialist government this is not an expression of compassion? You can express your compassion  inside such a state by influencing the politicians in favor for more or less compassionate policies.

FOLKS, THIS IS AN ATTACK ON OUR COUNTRIES FREEDOM AND OUR CHRISTIAN FREEDOM.

SOCIALISM IS A CANCER THAT DESTROYS COUNTRIES --------READ YOUR HISTORY BOOKS.

EVERYONE - SPEAK OUT AGAINST THIS TO KEEP OUR COUNTRY UNDER GOD.

OUR COUNTRY IS BEING ATTACKED BY THIS IDEA IN MANY OTHER FORMATS INCLUDING GOVERNMENT POLITICIANS AND WANNA-BEE'S.

No the State always denies such activity! It takes away such individual initiative and then declares it will do it better. Plus it declares that what is done by the private individual is not done by the individual at all, but really by the government. Barrack Obama boldly made that statement to all  here at the USA, and he meant it to apply to all the world; that government is to declare all things, and the individual is to acquiesce to being a conduit of money to fund the government.

All of Europe is a desperate basket case of financial ruin fast approaching as it has embraced government solutions in place of private compassion with individual risk  for potential benefit. It is now a dark continent where less than 1.5% of it's population knows Jesus as  Lord and savior. Yet  it proclaims vitality, and still thinks it has the better way that of compelling it's various peoples to let government decide all matters  and distribute all wealth.

Sorry but this is a discussion which is getting to worldly for me and contains to much political “special vocabulary“ and detail as a symptom of that trend.

I am more interested in how materialism leads to greed because as I and others agreed in this thread greed is a very big Problem in socialism too.

I think that materialistic people are naturally greedy because unlike true believers they fear death more. They are not willing to share wealth (capitalism) OR power (socialism) because this decreases their survival chances  and survival not their soul counts for them.

In addition they need constant and hard distraction from thinking about death. 

In capitalism people might buy and exploit prostitutes for distraction and in socialism women where forced into sex directly. In both cases the result for the women tend to be disastrous.

Whoever has faith in contrast does not need hard distraction to be happy but is completely relaxed.

I can draw happiness from the smallest things in this state of ultimate relaxation (even from hard pain in some cases).

I hence can‘t understand why many Christians hoard such enormous amounts of possessions and ideological defend the system that creates such inequalities.

Before god we are all created equal because we are created in his image.

No that's not it. I don't have time to go into the details right now but I know that is not what socialism is.

The last time I was attacked with profanities like this it was because the atheists freethinkers wanted to get me out of their forum (with good reasons from point view of an atheist) . And they told me at great lengths that using words like „****“ is a sign of free thinking and protest against the church...

Besides that nationalism is not Christian too. This is a manmade distinction and Christ was send to save everyone (and not for example just Jews).

Where is the "PROFANITY" IN MY STATEMENT TO DEFEND MY COUNTRY AND MY FAITH??  You attack me to make me look bad and offer excuses for your twisted beliefs that offer nothing but confusion in what you say and justifications that make no sense.

The young people of today who aren't familiar with socialism from the 30's and 40's need to get educated about the destructive and demonic power it carries everywhere it goes.

Nadjeschda---I am sorry you have bought into something not only HORRIBLY DEVISIVE , but cruel and inhumane to those who suffer under it's destructive RULE...AND "RULE" IT DOES with an IRON FIST!!!!!

It even sounds a bit funny if you watch the historic embodiment of socialism. Lenin copied the idea of „who shall not work shall not eat“ and by this created the Gulag system. The Chinese later retermed it „re-education through work“. However god gave us a natural tendency to enjoy labor, the problem is that lowly paid forms of labour come with social humiliation and low life expectancy. If everyone is protected and valued even for a low Labour the joy of Ora et labora would come back. In socialism this did not work either because openly they said they admire the low worker but in reality they continue to value those with most power - now state authorities. What we really need is a mental switch away from admiring worldly wealth and power and Jesus teachings are the only that can change our souls in this way. Capitalism is not a god in contrast; you can use it to organize an enconomy in a practical sense, but you can not derive any ethical values from it.
