5. Axis variability may turn out to be a major cause potential (we just don't know)

I have talked with a dear brother that flies international all over the world about the movement of the Earth's axis and how does that affect their navigation, ...he said, many years ago, when he was flying propeller airplanes between the Islands here they would manually change the pointer on their compass to compensate for the magnetic shifting of the North Pole, ...now that he is flying multi-engine jets, they don't even look at the compass, they fly by GPS readings, ...and the press is presenting the hoax of climate change rather that the "scientific" observation and data of the shifting axis of this planet!

The deception and ultimate brain washing the Word talks about at the end is present and active today, the deceived believing false news and fake "scientific" data, rather than the millions upon millions, could even be billions, of people all over the planet that can and do verify the oceans haven't risen from personal "scientific" observations...

yes.

I'm not saying that's a good thing to do, though.

If you come up with such a bold accusation as abuse, the onus is on you to prove abuse.

Are you suggesting that attempts to reduce CO2 emissions, and their negative effect on humanity, are pointless? I'd like to clarify this before I say anything further.

As a general observation, I'd like to address the general distrust of scientific consensus that I'm seeing in this thread. Getting a PhD isn't easy, folks. It most frequently requires a keen interest in a particular topic and a focused pursuit of knowledge in that particular field, followed by years of dedicated study and learning. It is true that there will be differences of opinion among a large enough group of PhD scientists, just as there will be with any other large group. I've not honestly tried, but I'll bet with enough searching, one could find a PhD geologist or two that believes the earth is flat and stationary.

I honestly don't give enough credence to a single individual ("Steven Goddard") to justify the time needed to investigate his comments, but it looks like an extreme case of cherry-picking the data. Although I'm certain he has done a lot of data analysis, he is not a climate scientist. This tends to indicate that his opinions on the topic are not as meaningful as as the opinions of actual experts. "Goddard" claims that the American Meteorological Society is not as lock-step in opinion as believed, and that could be true, but here is a general statement issued by the AMS:

Quote

Anthropogenic (i.e., human-induced) climate change cannot be accurately characterized from linear trends over short periods, as these trends will likely have contributions from the incomplete cycles of natural decadal to multi-decadal variability. However, many of the above-noted changes in the past 120 years cannot be fully accounted for by natural climate variability such as the decadal to multi-decadal fluctuations of ocean circulation and temperature in the Atlantic and Pacific basins. Scientific evidence indicates that the leading cause of climate change in the most recent half century is the anthropogenic increase in the concentration of atmospheric greenhouse gases, including carbon dioxide (CO2), chlorofluorocarbons, methane, tropospheric ozone, and nitrous oxide.

What genuinely confuses me is the number of people that will stand firmly on the "plain reading" of the Genesis account of creation and simultaneously downplay the instructions God gave to Adam to take care of the earth in the exact same passage. This inconsistency suggests to me that the objection to accepting mankind's role in global warming is much more about politics than it is about anything else.

Hi Alive,

actually your sentence reads like this:

So you say, the US has done more? The facts show they weren't effective enough.

I don't want to bash the US. It's just climate here as a topic. The US is certainly a great nation, I am their fan.

Good morning, Thomas.

I did not mention any relative effectiveness, only the efforts--the changes we have instituted toward making a difference.

You  are rebutting something I did not say.

Do you understand?

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
