Isolation has been used for many centuries and should be used more.  We use it in the hospitals whenever a person has a communicable disease, as well as when people are susceptible due to poor resistance.  That is called reverse isolation.  Mask and gloves, goggles and good hand washing are the standard.  People were isolated in place during the polio epidemic in the 40s and 50s.  My next door neighbor and my husbands home had signs on their doors.  The biggest difference is the speed in which covid 19 spreads to people who are unaware they are carriers till symptoms become evident.   

So it amazes me how slow people are to use the best standard methods of preventing the spread of disease.  WE SHOULD NEVER TEMPT GOD BY IGNORING ISOLATION WHICH WAS COMMANDED BY GOD IN LEVITICUS 14 MANY CENTURIES AGO .  Should God instruct me to lay hands on the sick I will do so, and have done so at times.  But it is foolish for people to do so at will when they are over 70 and have a chronic lung condition.  It is the invincible teenagers that will ignore our governor's shut down and spread the disease.  My grandchildren are among them.   So wash your hands AGAIN!   Use a bandana for a mask and wash it every night with bleach added.  Use common sense.  Don't hoard food but pray for our daily bread.  

Mormons are supposed to hoard a years worthy of food and provision so we will all convert and go to them when we get hungry.  I remember this from their own literature.  So if you need TP, knock on their doors and ask to use their bathroom.  They are sure to have some TP.

Yes Sis...an executive order was put in place at the very start regarding the Utility Companies,no shut-offs or disconnects will be permitted

   I just heard the announcement from Washington regarding the stimulous package....it has been set at 2 trillion & will pass legislature later today-thedeal has been made and checks will go out to middle class & lower  families immediately

basically 5 points

1st-Marshall plan for medical/health facilities

2- workers/they said enemployment on steroids

3-oversight & transparency on all loans(accountability)

4-real resources for State& Gov't

5-real help for small businesses

I remember having those things but no sign on the house.  They wanted us to catch the "childhood diseases" in my day.  We were too sick to go outside and play or go to school.  I really remember hurting so bad with mumps, and that my dad didn't want to see me after I gave them to him.  My next door neighbor had polio and I remember the sign on her house.  It was the official kind from the public health office.

Yep. Its been in the news here. The plan was to have the Guard drive trucks to fill in the gaps so the grocery stores can restock. A good idea over all since the normal supply chain is overwhelmed. I had to go to 4 different stores for my weekly shopping, but found most of what I needed. One store had folks standing in a line before it opened that went half way around to the back of the building. I skipped that one, needless to say. Didn't even stop, just kept cruisin'. Found some paper towels, but no toilet paper . . . 

I've lived through enough natural disasters that I keep a stock of things on hands at all times. Funny part is: Why do folks need so much toilet paper for a respiratory virus that doesn't cause digestive issues? That makes no sense.

Maybe it's ok in your area.....but the virus is a big deal!    It is very contagious and deadly!   700 died yesterday in Italy alone.   500 died in Spain.   

 

This is the problem:  Hospitals, doctors and nurses are being totally overwhelmed with patients!!!    Doctors and nurses don't have enough safety equipment to protect themselves.    And if they get sick, who is going to help the patients?!

Doctors and nurses are having to use the same safety gear over and over.    They even need to share it, after trying to sanitize it.   They are now wearing regular masks over the N-95 masks, trying to make the N-95 masks last longer.

Plus there are not enough ventilators.....people die because they can't breathe.

Hospitals desperately need more nurses.   They are asking retired nurses or even administrators to come back to work.   

 

I have a friend who has the virus, for eight days already.   He was/is still extremely ill, we prayed so much for him that he might survive.   The hospital wouldn't admit him....not enough hospital beds.   So his wife who has health issues is caring for him at home.    Now we pray she won't contract the virus.
