God gives His children "peace of mind" while we are living on this planet, ...when we finally finish our pilgrimage here and go home to Heaven, ...one of the few things we will "take" with us from this sojourn is our peace...

And the peace of God which passes all understanding shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Php 4:7

Yes, we will experience emotions in heaven — emotions like love and joy because we are safely in God’s presence forever. The Bible says that heaven’s inhabitants declare to one another, “Let us rejoice and be glad and give him glory!” (Revelation 19:7).

What is heaven?

Yes, absolutely.

Romans 14:17 KJV For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.

Will there be golf?

It's not likely. Heaven will not be any less joyful without it. I don't think you'll miss it.

Or could I walk there today?

No, I'm sure we would not be able.

Can you be more specific?

The word of God has this to say about specifics.

1 Corinthians 2:9 KJV But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.

“In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also” (John 14:2-3).

But you have come to Mount Zion and to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, to an innumerable company of angels, to the general assembly and church of the firstborn who are registered in heaven, to God the Judge of all, to the spirits of just men made perfect (Hebrews 12:22-23).

“After these things I looked, and behold, a great multitude which no one could number, of all nations, tribes, peoples, and tongues, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, with palm branches in their hands, and crying out with a loud voice, saying, ‘Salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb!’” (Revelation 7:9-10)

Therefore they are before the throne of God, and serve Him day and night in His temple. And He who sits on the throne will dwell among them. They shall neither hunger anymore nor thirst anymore; the sun shall not strike them, nor any heat; for the Lamb who is in the midst of the throne will shepherd them and lead them to living fountains of waters. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes” (Revelation 7:15-17).

“Then the temple of God was opened in heaven, and the ark of His covenant was seen in His temple. And there were lightnings, noises, thunderings, an earthquake, and great hail” (Revelation 11:19).

God's dwelling place (Psalms 33:13).
-Where Christ is today (Acts 1:11).
-Where Christians go when they die (Philippians 1:21-23).
-The Father's house (John 14:2).
-A city designed and built by God (Hebrews 11:10).
-A better country (Hebrews 11:16).
-Paradise (Luke 23:4

Will there be golf?

I'm not sure, but I remember the story about  this angel who suddenly appeared to a man who was golfing at a beautiful golf course called Pebble Beach.

The angel said: "I can answer any question you want, so go ahead and ask."

The man thought for a moment, "Are there golf courses in heaven?"

The angel replied: "Do you want the good news or the bad news first?"

The man shrugged. "The good news."

So the angel told him: "The courses in heaven are so beautiful I can scarcely describe them. There is no cost to play on them, and you have your choice of golf clubs. Beverages and electric carts are provided free of charge. All the balls miraculously float on the water so you'll never lose them, and all your shots go straight."

The golfer smiled and asked: "What's the bad news?"

"Well," the angel said, "You're scheduled to play in five minutes.".................default_cool2.gif.896a86026deb0c62ea1e4ba7546402f8.gif

The good news is that there will be plenty of golf for those that repent even just a little. The bad news is that all of the fairways will be full of land mines. To make things ever worse?.......NO Mulligans........

Heaven is depicted as a place in scripture but I believe heaven is a state. How could we understand a spiritual reality except it be compared to the physical. Everyone in the state of Unity and Harmony becomes the place. How can we understand the immaterial except thru material descriptions as a vehicle to understand what we cannot see. Our problem is we stumble at the vehicle been used to give us that understanding which are frail physical comparisons or word which people interpret at face value missing where these things are pointing us to, the spiritual reality!!

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
