Can someone detail what "slain in the spirit" is?

When they came to get Jesus.. as soon as He said I am He they feel backwards to the ground "Now when He said to them, “I am He,” they drew back and fell to the ground."

So you can pray and ask HIM how could he do this evil thing.

So when was .. 17-18 at work.. I had just got out of.. anyway over heard my mom on the phone at work about people falling down. So I asked can I go? She said yes.

It was a Church on a Friday night.. where these people were singing and praising God, Jesus. You know that name that makes demons scared. The man up front (preacher) that was there for a week. Said.. is there anyone that wants to experience the power of God. I thought .. sure if God is real. So I went up there.. his back was to me. He turned..took one finger just touched my forehead said "in JESUS NAME". Next think I knew I was on my back.. open my eyes started to get up.. the power of God hit my feet shot into my Chest.. oh HOLY JESUS..it was beautiful so wonderful. LOL I tried to back up many times.. to have that happen again but it didn't

Satan does not speak IN JESUS NAME! Ever.. there is no truth in him. He is the father of lies. Now.. there are people.. I think most just fall down.. they don't know better.

Jesus said.. where two or three are there.. I AM IN the mist. So... if someone thinks they can stand when GOD is there and His glory or presence is there.. then I see pride. What happen to Saul/Paul when Jesus showed up?

Know this.. if you doubt.. let not that man think he will receive anything from God. Your not hearing GOD tell you its EVIL WRONG.

So.. don't take my word for it.. YOU pray you ask HIM! But.. if when He shows up? NO ONE can stand. Its through out the bible.

Know this.. you never ever seek experiences. What MOVES Him is faith. You just have faith in Him.. trust HIM. And this is in the word. What you will hear is "well what really happened there". yet..what they say..,.is not written.

Jesus is real.. more real then anyone you know. More real then your parents, spouse, kids.. ask HIM.. and HE will show you.. in HIS word.. where its written. DON'T take my word for this. I don't have to prove anything. If people don't believe.. they have nothing to free. They will never see it or anything like it. With out faith its impossible to please Him. This is about HIM no other.. points to Him.. and you can find it in John 18:6

I don't think the experience had much to do with Paul's road to Damascus experience. There are 4 accounts in scripture about Paul's experience, 3 in Acts, one in Galatians. There are discrepancies about whether Paul's companions saw a light - heard a voice, or did not hear a voice.

An explanation by Daniel Wallace, a super Greek Scholar, about a certain genitive used with AKUO meant "heard but did not understand" - I found to be not supported - I spent days researching all NT uses of that genitive with AKUO and found no support for Dr. Wallace's theory, though he certainly is/was an expert. I don't know if he is still alive.

Slain in the spirit happens - could it be faked by Satanic forces, counterfeited? I guess so. Counterfeiting and genuine exist side by side, just as with currency. Please send me all your currency; it might be counterfeit.

First, don't worry to much about other people's opinions.  That's all they are.  I'm not worried about.

I have heard of some super natural healing before.  Quite a few actually.  Just some people, that came, prayed with the Church leadership, and then went to the doctor to find out the doom illness... was just flat out gone.   The most amazing of which, was actually covered by the news media, but a decade ago.  Hard to find the video of it.

It was a Sunday teacher, who had an illness that was incurable, and losing his voice.  They had video of him over the years, his voice getting worse and worse.  Then one Sunday morning, with his voice nearly gone, he was teaching his likely last message, and in the space of about 15 seconds, he went from barely being able to talk, to perfect clear voice.

However, none of those examples, from all my years, ever involved floating backwards or people being set to catch people falling, or any of that.   I don't know what that means, just saying I don't have any experience with that.

So here is my question.  I have to take you at face value, and that's good enough.  Obviously I don't know, I wasn't there.

The women from the conversation, was shocked, are least acted very shocked, that I had not experienced being slain in the spirit.

She seemed, genuinely surprised, as if every single person has this experience.

So my question to you is... does everyone in your congregation have this experience?   Is it common and normal, that everyone gets whatever experience you had?

Because some truly amazing stuff has happened at a number of the churches I've been to.  G-d clearly showed up, in the life of the people of these churches.   But none, not even one... had anything like what you, or her, described happen.

I'm just curious... is what you describe completely normal there?  Does everyone have it happen to them?

yes They drew back and fell down the soldiers that is,they wernt slain,plain scared i would say. what evil was done?

satan can give a very good impresion of our Lord . shining included.

i find nothing in the Word of God for being slain in the spirit.

Yeah... reports.  There are reports of Elvis still being alive, if you google it.

Christians say all kinds of crazy stuff too.  Be very careful what you read on the internet.
