Curious, but how many here is from Australia? The state of Victoria is very bad, and from what I myself have read, depending how the situation goes, that state could be isolated from the rest of Australia.

This Covid 19 makes me think of the Leper isolation practices that has been done in the past. And now I hear in Victoria it is now compulsory for one to wear a mask when in public.

This is just getting way too scary. Just how close are we to the mark of the beast becoming a requirement? Are we that close that it could be just around the corner?

Interesting parallel of the leper isolation to COvid qaurantine. Would Jesus have touched COVID patients? I believe he would. 

Now I want to watch Ben-Hur (Heston). It has a leper colony scene.

Yes, it is interesting when comparing the Covid 19 situation to that of Leprosy. The isolation practices. Not long ago I read up a bit on the Leprosy history that happened in the US.

And in reference to Ben-Hur, yes the leper colony scene I know of. Good movie that.

Speaking of lepers, there was Baldwin IV of Jerusalem The Leper King. His life is a fascinating one.

Your assumption about my, at that point, unstated reasons for why the five-fold ministry offices are not chosen by men, but elders and deacons are, was somewhat different from my, now stated, reasons above.

I agree with the heart of this post and its content. We simply do not know--but we can and humans are always apt to speculate.

My concern is the apparent fear that too many Christians have regarding this stuff. We, who are 'In Christ' need not fear death or sickness.

I am not saying that anyone in this thread is living in fear, but that this is something we should all consider and thereby examine ourselves.

I tell you something, back in 2019 around I think June/July, I had a terrible flu, possibly one of the worse I ever had, so bad it affected me, it affected my respiratory system, and I actually felt it was my time to come. As time went by I recovered, but it was so bad.

But anyways back to this Rev 6.8 it got me thinking, the reference to "beasts of the earth", the greek word for "beasts" here is G2342 therion which can refer to a dangerous animal, or alternatively, a wild animal or out of control animal.

Now it got me thinking, I was reading up on Gray Goo, and found something interesting, a reference to "out of control self-replicating machines".
