If there is a topic that you are finding is just argumentative in nature and you do not like that, there is a wonderful option we all have the choice to take... just leave the topic and move on to the next one.  I don't know how many times on the Internet I have seen people in forums or chat rooms declare they are leaving a place because someone doesn't conform to their belief or idea -- even if you have all the "facts".  To me this is a cry for someone to agree with them so that they will 'stay'.

We have a choice in what we read on the forums, what we respond to, how we respond, if we just let it go when it get argumentative, to come and to go, etc.  We have to remember that this is our own personal choice.   I won't even read political posts or posts about Covid and a few other things because I already know I have my own ideas about those things that others may not agree with and I may not agree with others on and I do not like to argue and debate when we all have a right to our own opinions and beliefs.

If someone doesn't like your facts you have researched on the internet for, that's ok!  That's their right and their privelege to have a different idea or opinion.  And you have facts so that works for you!  We learn to love no matter what, to give and to take, and we also learn to walk away or just simply not get involved in the first place.

I am Deaf so I know literally what it's like to not 'be heard'.  But in the end, it's our own peace with God that is our responsibility.  By all means share with others if you feel led, but also be ready if they do not agree with you, accept that and move on.

If we are 'right' then we don't have to prove it to anyone but engaging in a lengthy argument or debate.  We know we have the right facts, then we can just give them and move on.  It's when we push other to  convince them of our 'facts' that we are showing that we are having doubts ourselves.  So if you know you are right about something --- state your opinion and let it go.  Agree to disagree.

The world needs more peace right now more than ever and peace begins with each of us.

A bunch of years ago--about 15--I went through an exercise regarding just what I believed and how I came to believe those things. It was a process that took a while.

Actually, it still continues.

Anyway, I realized that some were just things I had heard and absorbed and didn't think much about, some were things that the Lord/The Holy Spirit taught me as He opened up scripture and augmented it with experience. The point is--I realized how precious few things were vital to Life and Growth. I realized that Grace, Mercy and Love were paramount and that the lessons of the Cross, Resurrection and Ascension were most of all--vital.

There are many things that I simply can't say that I know for sure--chiefest of those are related to eschatology. I am not overly concerned about those things. If the Lord wanted to show me, He is perfectly capable of doing so--just as He has other things.

So--I keep an open mind and because I am not closed off, I learn things. Perhaps not any conclusions are rendered, but I learn in the study of the relevant passages of scripture. These discussions are also an excellent opportunity to see the fruit of the Spirit at work in us as we yield and trust Him...while understanding that we are all His born from above sons.

My dogmatism extends to issues of our common Salvation, Sanctification and the Ontology of our God.

And of course, the best BBQ rub for smoked ribs.

It all seems so pointless. No one here wants to look at their selves and consider for a moment that maybe they are wrong about something.  Everyone believes they have all the right answers and no amount of facts, history, or reasonable conversation will change anyone's mind on anything.   So why do I bother going through the trouble of searching facts and data to show to someone who just posted nonsense when in the end. They just carry on with their same nonsense? And all I did was waste my time.

We haven't talked as often as I would have liked, but I would love to still get a chance to know you better.

I have felt the same way many times. I have been very tempted to leave in the past. This is a great place, in my view, but is not at all perfect. I know there is endless debates that go nowhere and create a negative atmosphere. But there are some really good people here too. And there are discussions which are worth having that we have only touched on in the past. This place is a collective effort. Right now it is a chance for many people to connect with other believers where they are maybe unable to get out as much as before. And collectively we need to make sure that we do the best we can to make the best of it we can.

It is up to you. But I think you could bring valuable contributions here. And one thing you might consider is taking a break and coming back. I have found it helps to do that when things get too much.

According to Biblical Scholars, over 75 Books are possibly missing from the current version of the Canon.   I am not here to debate which of those Books are acceptable vs not, but just say a Pagan led the path to what Books were chosen.   And still with 66 books, we only know a portion of what we will know after this life.   So when some authoritarian claims I studied this, I went to this school, I was trained by...I just laugh at their foolishness.   No one knows the real TRUTH accept that we need Christ!   After that, it really is debatable and from there it's not concrete evidence.   In truth, most live by a CREED.   And still, without all of the missing information, a CREED is far from Gospel or the foundation for anything of God!

If Jesus "ran away" every time someone disagreed with Him or didn't listen to Him, we would all be in a LOT of trouble!

My goal is to inform people when they are mistaken about a bit of information.  Be this a Biblical matter or a worldly matter.  An example being someone makes a post saying "God dose not allow dancing". Then I can point to scripture showing that God dose allow dancing. Yet even with the scripture being pointed out to them and explain. They still go on saying "God dose not allow dancing.".  The never really wanted to be shown they were wrong. Or wanted to learn anything.  All they really wanted was to tell others what to do and to believe as they do. A worldly example of this is someone making a post saying "Covid 19 is not real" Then I go and find data and facts and show them that it is very much real and here is all the data to show that. But they just continue on their false claim no matter how many facts are shown to them. They never wanted to learn anything. They just wanted to tell the rest of us what to think.

I have always been someone willing to change my mind if given the right information. I have at times thought one thing about something. Then someone shows me that I am mistaken in my thinking and I have changed my way of thinking.

“You can dance if you want to.. leave your friends behind, if youd friends don’t dance, they’re no fiends of mind.?”

Jesus NEVER leaves us.  We leave Him.  We choose to walk away from Him, but He never leaves us nor forsakes us.

Deuteronomy 31:6  “Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.”

We choose to walk away from God, from Christ, but God never walks away from us.  Too many believe sayings they here that are then said to be from the Bible but are not from the Bible at all.  This is why we need to know God's word for ourselves.

I understand your feelings.  Here we are on a christian forum. I also share on a different forum with many unbelievers, which is even worse.
As messengers for Christ, we don't get our energy from the responses of people, but we get our energy from Jesus Christ. We persevere because the Holy Spirit dwells inside of us. And God knows our hearts, our motives and our struggles.

With every step we take, take it in Christ.

You were talking ...sorry the song playing right now as I type this "there ya go again talking the same old smak. You think you got it all together, well you don't so step on back". Its just perfect timing.. fits here.

Jesus would not run away because He is truth no else is. Years ago I would post allot in depth... but you only get praise form man for that..  well duh I was right and had to tell them how in error they were. I still at times catch myself doing it. But as of late at 59 the MAIN reason I come to Christian forums is for those asking for prayer. Where I KNOW I won't stand out..it won't be about me but ONLY HIM! I LOVE praying for people.. He always answers. I remember very young asking someone about all these people in the world.. whos praying for them? And she said "someone in the world is always parying"  It gives someone so much hope KNOWING someone out there hears me.. praying for me. I think about  it almost every night about all the people that are taken caught from babies to old.. trying to think "what if it was me". So many are being abused and I would be thinking.. theres no hope.. I am here alone and.. I can't get free. Or in hospitals where no one is visiting them or elderly homes no one comes to see so many of them.. I have to say since I think this.. Father forgiver me.. . so anyway.

I miss reading "don't listen to me, don't take my word for it. You seek you pray you search you find this out for your self". And "what I personally believe" I think so much of this falls in to foolish doctrines. The word says.. God is not the author of confusion and only peace. So many threads are nothing but confusion. No great men and women of God here nor on youtube. Why? These are places they know they should not be in.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
