What word?  Crap?  You know that the apostle Paul used that word?

https://www.biola.edu/blogs/good-book-blog/2015/did-the-apostle-paul-use-profanity

In Philippians 3:8, the apostle Paul compares his religious credentials to knowing Jesus. The difference could hardly be more emphatic: “knowing Christ Jesus my Lord” is of “surpassing value,” but Paul’s past success is like σκύβαλα (skubala). σκύβαλα is commonly translated as rubbish, refuse, or garbage, but sometimes more strongly as dung, in both ancient and modern translations (Vulgate, Tyndale, KJV, NET). Some have suggested another four-letter translation, stronger than dung.

skubala.  Slang word in New Testament times for..... crap.

Crap isn't even a bad word honestly.  Do you know where the word came from?

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thomas_Crapper

If you look at the word, before it was used to mean poop, it had no negative meaning at all.

There is nothing wrong with the word crap.  I don't know why you think that is a word no Christian should use.  Based on what?

If you can provide an actual reason a Christian shouldn't use that word, I'll stop.   But if the apostle can call things crap, I don't why we shouldn't today.

The problem you face here is.. your not Christ and you have no right, that means no authority what so ever to tell any other follow of Christ what to do.

I've been very polite.... but oh for heaven sakes, grow up, both of you.

Grow up.

This is forum.  It's a public forum, where people post their opinions.

Do you really think I thought for a moment that I could come around and FORCE other people to cancel their Netflix subscriptions?   Do you really?

Quite frankly, Kay has been insulting, rude, childish and truthfully evil.   She goes around DEMANDING that other people do what she thinks is right, and attacks anyone who disagrees with her.  I put her on ignore, because I am not going to be insulted and talked down to, by a cruel person.

I have never done that to her, or you.   I gave you my opinion of what I honestly believe Christians should do.  You don't want to?  Okay?   My opinion is my opinion, and if you want to support a company with openly pro-pedophilia media... that's your choice.   By all means, justify that at the judgement.  I'm not going to be there, remember?  We'll all face judgement for ourselves.

So spare me the "You don't have the authority... " Blaw blaw blaw.  I have my opinion, and reasons for that opinion.  I don't give a crap if you think I have the authority or not.  My opinion, and I have a right to my opinion.  You want to provide a counter argument, by all means, but spare me this "you don't have the authority to have an opinion on what other people should do".

Don't care.  Moving on.

Do the rest of you all feel this way about me?  Dose my disagreeing and posting my own thoughts on topics cause others here to feel they are being attacked and insulted? ?

though we do disagree on some things I don't remember ever being attacked by you...  I don't even remember you saying I had to agree with you..  I think Andy's problem is that he doesn't seem to understand that we really don't give a dam what he thinks.    This movie like a lot of other things will pass.   What it represents is real and won't go away till Jesus comes back, but I don't see the positive result of canceling Netflix over one movie...   actually I think there are others...    but if we all cancel, soon there will be nothing but bad there..  I watch the documentaries also..

So I looked it up annd it certainly sounds provocative. After reading some of the director's own comments, I don't think this is pro-pedophilia. That just sounds like typical reactionism to something those complaining probably have not even watched but just been told to be upset about it. Would I watch this? Unlikely. But all this hubbub will certainly drive a lot of people to watch it. Exactly why overreacting tends to backfire.

Watch the highlight on Tucker Carlson's show and then tell me that this movie is not sexualization of adolescents. It IS pedophilia.

I do not think anyone here is defending this movie and saying it is okay. As it was said, it is one in a million other movies that are bad. I myself would not have even heard of this move had it not been for this post. Having it being the topic of news shows is giving it unneeded attention. Free advertising so to say.  I think we need to trust that adults can make up their own minds about what to do with Netflix. Anyway those are my thoughts.

This is going to be short and sweet.    Don't take my word for it, go look this up yourself.

Netflix decided to post a movie made in France, that is basically soft-core porn for 11-year-old girls.

It is absolutely disgusting.  Purely and entirely disgusting at many levels.  It involves underage girls dressing in street-walker outfits, doing sexualized dance moves like twerking (not going to explain that, you can look it up on your own), and being ridiculous.

This apparently was *not* considered controversial in France, which tells you how very very far France has fallen morally.

The bottom line is, Netflix has decided that this Pro-pedophilia film is perfectly fine, and has even been so bold as to tell critics "Go watch the film."

Now I have to tell you, that I am generally against boycotts and complaining about what the pagans do, because it is foolish to expect people who don't know or believe in Christianity, to follow Christian belief.

But this is too far.  This is not just pagans having pagan views, this direct support of pedophilia.... and then DEFENDING the pedophilia.    There is no other way to view this.   They are directly defending and supporting the hyper sexualizing of underage girls.

This isn't even sweet 16, where in history past, 16 year olds were expected to grow up, and move towards finding a husband.

We're talking about 11 to 14 year olds, dressed like they are working in a strip club.  Skin tight, highly revealing, extremely sexual.

Bottom line is.... My advice to all of you, if any of this matters to you, you should cancel your Netflix account.   No christian should be directly or indirectly supporting this, by giving your G-d given money to a company that supports pedophilia.

So I'll say it bluntly.   Cancel your Netflix.   If we allow support of Pedophilia to go without opposition, then we are not the salt of the Earth anymore.  We are accomplices in evil.

I haven't watched tv movies in a month now. I don't know but I just stopped. Its nothing of value. It's just entertainment.  If we are disgusted with what is going on in this world why are being entertained by it ?

I found it quite disturbing what they do in the kiddie children beauty pageants as a requirement and call it a dance routine.

They are pretending that they are doing a strip tease, but like a mime.

Even in the adult contests they don't do such things.

Yes. Beauty pageants for kids are sick and should never have been a thing in the first place.

netflix is a company that shows what people want to watch....   if decent people (christian or not) stop watching anything on Netflix it won't be long before there will be nothing decent at all there...    banning Netflix will exacerbate the problem not make it better...

I can see both points of view. Unfortunately in our culture eventually I’d have to cancel everything. Pandora has got a tremendous number of “inappropriate“ songs on it, Amazon prime and HBO also have a lot of inappropriate content in my opinion.

Netflix creating the pedophile film is very problematic but to me just as bad as other streaming outlets showing that garbage and Pandora allowing many songs.

I haven't watched the movie so I really don't qualify to judge it....    but I do agree with the supreme court....    we don't live in a theocracy.  If they can't show this movie, for the same reasons we can't show the Jesus Film...  and I'm sure I would hate this film as much as they do the Jesus Film...  and just for the record I have no intention right now of ever watching the thing..    You can't have freedom of speech without all having freedom of speech; and sometimes that sucks...   but it is what it is.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
