I have been looking at different world religions.  Is there a way to tell which one is valid?

Want to get right with God? The bible teaches us that the way to God and heaven is to believe the gospel message. The bible teaches us that Jesus' mission on earth was to provide the way for sinful mankind to get to heaven, because we can never get there by our own wisdom or power. Death and the coming judgment is the fate of all mankind, because of sin. But God's grace and mercy has provided a way out from His judgment and wrath on sin.

Christians preach the gospel, which essentially means “good news”. The gospel message gives us hope and assurance of God’s grace, mercy, forgiveness and the assurance of eternal life. When we believe the gospel message; We are assured if we will put our faith and trust in Jesus to do for us, what we can't do for ourselves. We never have to wonder if we will make it heaven. No other religion or philosophy provides absolute hope or assurance of God's grace, mercy and eternal life.

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.

To answer the OP. 

A very good question, so first I would ask you some questions.

What is your current worldview? 
What do you believe in now?
Where do you put your faith right now?
What is it that you really want to know?
Do you believe there is a supernatural reality?

What evidence will you accept?  

This is a Christian forum so I am assuming you have already discounted All other religions.

 

Ultimately if you can demonstrate that Jesus did not rise from the dead you will have disproved Christianity, but it follows if you cannot do that, then you have to face the historical facts that Jesus lived, was crucified, burried and that he rose from the dead.

 

Who can come to life again? What other religious leader has done that?

 

Then there is the unique claim of Christianity that you do not have to reach a standard of holiness, you do not have to follow strict rules about how you live in order to please God or to earn a reward.

God offers you forgiveness, rightousness and a place in heaven all you have to do is accept it.

 

 

What other religion offers as much?

Yes, use logic and math principles:

All other religions teach "perfect yourself morally", an impossibility--to achieve the ability to be part of utopia without ruining it.

Christianity = Jesus gives a free gift of perfection to anyone trusting Him.

Make a one-time decision to trust Jesus, not yourself, to make you perfect after you die or rapture to enter utopia. He died for your sin, guilt and shame and took the punishment you and I deserve--on the cross. He then resurrected in power so you can trust Him for eternal life.

Logically, all other religions fall short--because they rely on ME not GOD to save/perfect.

Yes, there are other religions in this world but Christianity is the only true religion. 

1. God is love.

2. Jesus Christ is the way to God.

3. Jesus Christ is truth

4. Jesus Christ is the life.

5. Jesus Christ transforms mankind.

We'd like to think ours (Christianity) is valid. I will say one thing: Everything you need to know is contained in the Bible. I'm not saying other religions wouldn't teach you the same things (how would I know?). I just know Christianity will teach you everything you need to know, and that Jesus Christ is God in flesh.

Among several other things, Christianity's main difference is that salvation is based on grace alone, and not works.

A few writers/speakers I would recommend you investigate on your search for truth are Lee Strobel, Josh and Sean McDowell, J. Warner Wallace, Hugh Ross, John Lennox, and of course C.S. Lewis. All of those have lectures, speeches and other teachings readily available on Youtube for no cost at all.

The age old question:  What is truth?

If you heart is true, you will know God when you see Him.  Ask God to reveal Himself to you.  If your heart is true, He will.  The question I ask is: Are you ready for an answer in a way you may not be familiar with, since you have not found Him by the means you have already used?
