Often a topic or a sub-topic that is brought up.  When I thought of this not long ago an obelisk popped in my head.  These things are everywhere the largest being in Washington D.C.  Some notable obelisks are in the Vatican, Cleopatra's Needle in London, The Luxor Obelisk in Paris, Sanssouci Park in Germany, Hyde Park Obelisk in Australia.

Pretty much every western nation has an obelisk or baal's shaft in their nations and cities.    Maybe Mystery Babylon is not a place but an allegiance among the nations.  The question is that allegiance pointing in the right direction?

Rev 18:4 And I heard another voice from heaven saying, “Come out of her, my people, lest you share in her sins, and lest you receive of her plagues.

IT should be no mystery to ANYONE because John TOLD US. He wrote that Mystery Babylon is "that great city." In context that city can be none other than Jerusalem  - but only while the Beast and False Prophet are deceiving the WHOLE WORLD from that city.

Where will Jesus come when He comes in power to Armageddon? To Rome? To the Vatican? NO NO NO! He will set down on the mount of Olives in JERUSALEM! 

the seven heads are seven mountains on which the woman is seated; AND THERE ARE SEVEN KINGS!  God is not talking about Rome or any other city setting on physical mountains. He is talking about empires or nations with leaders or kings. The "mountains" are nations or empires, each with a king.

And John continued  that five of these mountains with kings had passed on into history by John's day.  If indeed, Rome is built on seven hills, have 5 of the hills crumbled away? No, because that is not God's meaning.

You (and others) totally miss the meaning because you are hung up on a POINT that actually PROVES YOUR POINT to be in error. The Mountains are juxtaposed unto KINGS who have FALLEN !! What about that makes you think its ONE CITY ANYWHERE? The same mistake he makes with Jerusalem is the one you make with  Rome. THAT CITY is Spiritual Babylon or Satan's Confusion on MANKIND !!

Babel = Confusion, what is more confusing than MANKIND fighting their own God? We are told who Babylon is in Rev. 16:19 yet we have on blinders. I have shown this before on here time and again, but AGENDAS seem to be more important than truths. The verse tells us WHO God sees as Babylon. ITS SIMPLE.

Rev. 16:19 And the great city was divided(Jerusalem, Jesus lands and it is Divided via an Earthquake) into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell(Jesus DEFEATS all his foes or cities and nations): and great Babylon came in remembrance before God, to give unto her the cup of the wine of the fierceness of his wrath.

So, who did God just call Babylon the Great? Well, its a good thing we can simple go to the 6th Vial and SEE who it was hat Gathered to fight God !! LETS SEE !!

Rev. 16:12 And the sixth angel poured out his vial upon the great river Euphrates; and the water thereof was dried up, that the way of the kings of the east might be prepared. 13 And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs come out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet.

14 For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles, which go forth unto the KINGS of the earth and of the WHOLE WORLD, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty.

So who did God defeat at Armageddon ? The WHOLE WORLD who FOLLOWED Satan the LIAR, else they would not have fought against their own loving CREATOR !! 

Babylon is this Dark World led astray by Satan, its that simple. God isn't judging ONE CITY, that makes zero sense at all. THAT CITY that John saw was a Babylon type Gov. who Satan RULED (see Luke chapter 4, Satan told Jesus he was GIVEN all these kingdoms, and if Jesus would only bow down unto him he would give them unto him) OVER, but it represented ALL WORLDLY GOVERNMENTS !! And the Harlot represented ALL FALSE RELIGIONS thus God showed them unto us as The Harlot RIDING the Beast. False Religion and Worldly Government co-existed, by it Babylon and the Horoscope and her hundreds of demi gods, be it Greece and her gods, Rome and her gods, Egypt and her gods, they are ALL THE SAME........They are "The Harlot and The Beast". 

God calls them Babylon the Great. Rev. 16:19 proves it. But they will still see it as Rome and Jerusalem.

What a surprise! A little bit of ancient Egypt (that God calls us out of) right in front of the temple of God where a man who has usurped the role of Jesus as head of his church contrary to scripture does sit. Worldly religion that does corrupt all the kings of the Earth.

You are not wrong. Pretty deplorable stuff. The highest achievement of religion is the death of the soul. The Catholic religion is quite murderous.

The verse says all who have been slaughtered on the earth, there is no way Rome is responsible for Cain murder. It must be our sinful world

This is the part that modifies our understanding. How can a single city be responsible for all who been slain on the earth? 

Sin causes death, both spiritual and physical. Cain slew Abel for the same reason Lucifer fell; covetousness. Desire, pride, arrogance and envy are the beginnings of death. It's Satan who started that and gave it to mankind. And what started that in Satan? The multitude of merchandise which begets violence and then sin.

"By the multitude of thy merchandise they have filled the midst of thee with violence, and thou hast sinned:"

The description of Babylon in Rev 18 is predominantly merchandise and trade. I would even say this concept of trade is what slew Abel. Cain's merchandise was not accepted while Abel's was; this beget violence though envy and covetousness and Abel was killed because of it.

So then the whore which all the world fornicates with is trade and money, not religion. The single greatest power in the world is economic strength. Countries sanction other countries with trade restrictions of goods and currency. They never say, "We're going to sic our religion on you!"

This coming city of Babylon, whatever, wherever or whenever, is the embodiment of all the ages of multitude of merchandise in which violence was born and sin created death. I think this is evident in the many wars over oil in the Mideast just in my lifetime. I don't know of any wars that were fought for reasons other than control of the riches of a country. Even the Crusades were fought to take away Israel from the Muslims and secure that trade hub.

Carville was right when he coined the phrase, "It's the economy, stupid."

Money is the whore. Economies are the fornication. They will be concentrated in Babylon at the end, whatever she is.
