Hi,

I have wondered about this.

Do you think that would mean all the dead after Jesus ascended go to heaven right away upon death?

Do you think that was a one time event just for that moment of Jesus' resurrection, resurrecting the righteous dead, and that everyone who dies in Christ after the Ascension has to wait to be resurrected?

Does our spirit go to be with Jesus right away when we die, but we don't have bodies till later, after the resurrection?

I have never been able to understand what happens when we die in Christ.

When Jesus ascended up on high, He led captive the captivity of the religious system, that is to say, He gave gifts to men so that they didn't stay in the serfdom of the cheating of false religious leaders that use the gospel for merchandise (2Pet 2:1-3; 1Tim 4:1-3; Col 2:18,19).

When we die in Christ, our spirit will sleep in the presence of the Father (see Ecc 12:7; 1Thess 4:14). Our soul will go to Abraham's Bosom (Luke 16:22).

When we die in Christ we now go to Heaven.

This is where believers went before Jesus died on the cross for them and us.

Paradise;
In Luke 16:19-31; 23:43, we have pictured total comfort and water in this prison because the rich man saw Lazarus afar off in comfort and bliss and asked him to dip his finger in water and cool his tongue (Luke 16:19-31).

This was the abode of the righteous souls from Adam after dying and leaving their bodies, being held captive by the devil against their wills till Christ's death and resurrection (Heb. 2:14-15; Eph. 4:7-11). Before Jesus Christ conquered the power of death and Hell, the devil had these powers. (Col. 2:14-17; Heb. 2:14-15; Rev. 1:18).

It was into this prison the repentant thief went with Christ the day they both died (Luke 23:43). This prison is located in the heart of the Earth as is clear from (Matt. 12:40 and Eph. 4:7-11).

Jesus having conquered Hell and death and the grave during His crucifixion and during the three days He was in the underworld, He captured all the righteous souls that were in Paradise and took them to Heaven when He ascended on high (Eph. 4:7-11).

Jesus now has the keys to Hell and death (Rev. 1:18).

Hi Diaste,

How would we be able to bring God any pleasure if we were all just sleeping?
How do you see Gods Plan and purpose working out?

We read about what HE WANTS from us and that is to be learning and growing and maturing so as we can become more holy and righteous and good soldiers and He wants our love and obedience and faith to lie (lay?) in Him and His power and wisdom and might and HE WANTS to be our King too!!!  To be king of the kingdom you have to have someone to rule over.

The last 6000 years .  People were born and people died.  So Gods plan maybe

ONE way, the 'sleeping/death' way is

at the end you have a WHOLE bunch of souls who either never made it out of the womb and know nothing or those who lived for almost a thousand years and know nothing of how the world has progressed and/or the plan of Salvation or those who have had the benefit of living in the final generation knowing everything.  NOW at the end WHAT DO YOU DO?  Remember GOD IS JUST.

TWO way, passing through the 'death/sleeping'

and at the end you have all those who have lived whether they made it out the womb or not here on earth ALIVE in heaven, whether they lived in the beginning, middle or end,  ALL KNOWING basically the same things and where they fit in (and that is leaving out a bunch of other important factors)

If you possessed all the wisdom and knowledge and were looking to find 'your people' for all eternity not to mention this 'earth age' was ACTUALLY causing you 'suffering' which group would you want to end up with?   The FIRST WAY you just end up with some with more experience and baggage than others (and not much else) unless they had the GOOD FORTUNE to make it to an age in which they could 'come to faith' and we have to take into account the 'bad things happen' or tower of Siloam factor
BUT if you see it differently I would sure like to hear it.

And I will ask it again,

9 And he saith unto me, Write, Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb. And he saith unto me, These are the true sayings of God.
10 And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto me, See thou do it not: I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.

8 And I John saw these things, and heard them. And when I had heard and seen, I fell down to worship before the feet of the angel which showed me these things.
9 Then saith he unto me, See thou do it not: for I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren the prophets, and of them which keep the sayings of this book: worship God.
10 And he saith unto me, Seal not the sayings of the prophecy of this book: for the time is at hand.

I FELL DOWN...BEFORE the feet of THE ANGEL

and that ANGEL SAID to him

...I AM THY FELLOWSERVANT

OF  THY BRETHREN THE PROPHETS  and

of THEM who keep the saying  OF THIS BOOK.

So WHO DOES THE ANGEL,  the Angel speaking with John, say is his brethren?

THE PROPHETS AND THE CHRISTIANS

What is one thing WE ALL KNOW FOR SURE about the Prophets and Christians?

They were/are all IN FLESH BODIES.  Terrestrial.  Earthy.  Huemans at one time.  Born from above.  Born of water.  Born of the spirit.

(You know who can't say that?  The fallen angels).

How this is not completely crystal clear to everyone who reads it, IDK.

Phil. 1:18 (MOUNCE-NT) What then? Only that in every way, whether in pretense or in truth, Christ is proclaimed; and in that I rejoice. Yes, and I will continue to rejoice. 19 For I know that this will turn out for my deliverance through your prayers and the help of the Spirit of Jesus Christ. 20 It is my earnest expectation and hope that I will in no way be put to shame, but that with complete boldness, now as always, Christ will be exalted in my body, whether by life or by death. 21 For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain. 22 If I am to go on living in the flesh, that means fruitful labor for me; yet I do not know which I would prefer. 23 I am hard pressed between the two, in that I have the desire to depart and be with Christ, for that is much better by far, 24 yet for your sake it is better that I remain in the flesh. 25 So, convinced of this, I know that I will remain, and I will continue with all of you for your progress and joy in the faith, 26 so that when I come again to you, your boasting in Christ Jesus might abound because of me.

2Cor. 5:3 (NAS20S) since in fact after putting it on, we will not be found naked. 4 For indeed, we who are in this tent groan, being burdened, because we do not want to be unclothed but to be clothed, so that what is mortal will be swallowed up by life. 5 Now He who prepared us for this very purpose is God, who gave us the Spirit as a pledge.

2Cor. 5:6 (NAS20S)   Therefore, being always of good courage, and knowing that while we are at home in the body we are absent from the Lord— 7 for we walk by faith, not by sight— 8 but we are of good courage and prefer rather to be absent from the body and to be at home with the Lord. 9 Therefore we also have as our ambition, whether at home or absent, to be pleasing to Him.

I was really trying for the SALVATION IS RELOCATION which is really well put, life continuing, no death just passing through...

Totally unrelated, could you direct me to where 'badges and rank' are explained.  Last week or so been getting these things and don't know how it works.  Thank you if you can... D

God has revealed to mankind in His Word, His method of
dealing with those who have never heard the gospel.

There are many billions of people who in the past, the present, and in the near future before Christ returns who have not and will not even hear the Name of Jesus mentioned, or the gospel preached.

As mentioned in a previous post, Paul stated in Rom. 2:12-16 that God will do right by every man according to the light they have recieved.

He said, "For as many as have sinned without the law shall also perish without law: and as many have sinned in the law shall be judged by the law;
(For not the hearers of the law are just before God, but the doers of the law shall be justified.

For when the Gentiles, which have not the law, do by nature the things contained in the law, these having not the law, are a law unto themselves: which shew the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and their thoughts the meanwhile accusing or excusing one another. In the day when God shall judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ according to my gospel.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
