The path of the group, which includes fighter, fighter-bomber and early warning and control aircraft, included the Golan Heights, the armistice line with Israel that has seen regular Israeli air strikes against suspected Iranian and Hezbollah positions.

Russian forces have been present in Syria since 2015 when they helped turn the tide in a civil war in favor of President Bashar al-Assad.

This month, witnesses and rebel sources said Russian jets have bombed areas near the northwestern Syrian city of Idlib, the last opposition-held bastion.

They want to remove Bashar Assad by all means like the deep state killed Khadafi of Libya who refused US dollar for oil transaction.

Gog (Prince) and Magog (land) are terms relating to the far north. And today Russia is the nation there, however in the millennium there will also be a nation there. 

God is referring to those who live in that part of the world, before the trib, and at the end of the millennium. Could be different nations/tribes, but the key is `far north.`

The Word is very clear. Gog Magog happens after the 1000 years.

You say it also happens before the 1000 years. There is no verse in scripture that tells us this. But what does the scripture tell us?

Do these look like unwalled villages?

NATO Takes Control Of U.S. Aircraft Carrier Group For First Time Since Cold War Amid Russia Invasion Threat

NATO took control of a U.S. aircraft carrier this week as part of a preplanned military exercise that could not have come at a better time as it projects strength in the region as Russia appears ready to invade Ukraine.

“Allied ships from the NATO Naval Striking and Support Forces Command and the U.S. Sixth Fleet initiated a series of patrolling activities across the Mediterranean Sea, within the framework of ‘Neptune Strike 2022,'” NATO said in a statement. “Neptune Strike is a long-planned effort. It will be carried out until 4 February, and features the deployment of the USS Harry S. Truman Carrier aircraft carrier, along with its carrier strike group and air wing.”

 

 

“Neptune Strike 2022 highlights NATO’s ability to integrate the high-end maritime capabilities of a carrier strike group to ensure high operational readiness across the Alliance and the defense and protection of all Allies,” the statement concluded. “It is the first time since the Cold War that a full US carrier group comes under NATO command.”

The move comes as Russian President Vladimir Putin has amassed approximately 100,000 troops near the Ukrainian border and appears, according to the Biden administration, likely to invade the country.

“The capability of SIXTHFLT and STRIKFORNATO combined staffs to enable a handover of the Harry S. Truman Carrier Strike Group demonstrates the power and cohesiveness of our maritime forces and the NATO Alliance,” said Vice Adm. Gene Black, commander, SIXTHFLT and STRIKFORNATO, said in a statement. “NATO’s command and control of a CSG is the result of decades of Alliance maritime interoperability.”

“Neptune Challenge gave our staffs an incredible opportunity to learn and grow together aboard our flagship, Mount Whitney,” said Rear Adm. James Morley, deputy commander, STRIKFORNATO. “The lessons we took from Neptune Challenge led directly into our execution of Neptune Strike, and I look forward to watching this combined team work to command and control high-end forces in real time.”

The Pentagon said on Monday that Defense Secretary Austin had placed up to about 8,500 troops in the United States on a heightened preparedness to deploy in case the U.S. needed to provide assistance to the region.

Russia is demanding concessions from the West, including never allowing Ukraine to join NATO, which NATO has already said is a nonstarter. In the meantime, as negotiations continue, other NATO countries have started to send forces toward Eastern Europe to send a message to Russia.

The Associated Press reported:

NATO said Monday it is bolstering its “deterrence” in the Baltic Sea region.

Denmark is sending a frigate and deploying F-16 warplanes to Lithuania; Spain is sending four fighter jets to Bulgaria and three ships to the Black Sea to join NATO naval forces; and France stands ready to send troops to Romania. The Netherlands also plans to send two F-35 fighter aircraft to Bulgaria from April.

NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said on Monday that NATO’s main goal right now was to prevent military conflict in Ukraine.

“And that’s exactly why we send a very clear message to Russia that if they once again decide to use force against Ukraine, it will come with a high costs for Russia. Economic, financial, political sanction,” Stoltenberg said. “NATO Allies also provide support to Ukraine. Ukraine has of course the right to self-defense as every sovereign nation has. And NATO Allies help them to uphold that right to self-defense with the support Allies provided to Ukraine.”

On Thursday, Jan. 20, Russia announced that it would be sending its fleet, complete with warships, aircraft and army personnel, for a series of military exercises to “zones of responsibility.”

Some of those warships have been reported to be en route to the Black Sea, creating concerns in the West that the Russian government could be preparing for an invasion of Ukraine.

Lining up at the borders

The announcement made on Thursday revealed that Moscow will be conducting a “sweeping set of exercises” in all zones of its fleets’ responsibility, in the midst of tensions between Russia and the West.

Overall, the fleet will consist of 140 warships and support vessels, 60 planes, 1,000 pieces of military equipment, and 10,000 military servicemen.

“In accordance with a plan for training the Russian armed forces in 2022 a series of naval exercises will be held in January-February in all zones of the fleets’ responsibility under the general guidance of the commander-in-chief of the Russian Navy, Admiral Nikolay Yemenov,” The Russian News Agency (TASS) reported.

“The exercises will encompass seas washing Russia and also World Ocean areas of key importance,” the Russian Defense Ministry said. “There will be some exercises in the Mediterranean and Northern seas and the Sea of Okhotsk, in the Northeastern Atlantic and in the Pacific.”

According to The Guardian, Moscow has sent troops to the borders of Ukraine, and missile systems into Belarus – both moves that western officials and analysts believe could allow troops to threaten the Ukrainian capital of Kyiv.

The Defense Ministry’s Facebook page showed a new diesel-electric submarine as part of its Pacific Fleet, and it was observed conducting a test of a Kalibr cruise missile from underwater.

In addition to the planned exercises in Europe’s seas, Russia also began a trilateral naval exercise with China and Iran in an area of 17,000 square kilometers north of the Indian Ocean – a routine that began in 2019.

Russia has commented that it has no plans to invade Ukraine. However, the government has demanded that NATO not expand to Ukraine and other former Soviet nations. Washington and its allies have since rejected the demands, but have expressed their intentions of continuing negotiations to reduce the tensions.

Fears from the West

With the buildup of Russian forces in key areas, particularly those near Ukraine, several governments in the West are concerned with the movement of Moscow’s military. 

According to the Associated Press, the announcement of Russia’s exercises came after U.S. President Joe Biden said on Wednesday that a “minor incursion” from Moscow into Ukraine could “result in a more measured response” from the U.S. and its allies.

“It’s one thing if it’s a minor incursion and we end up having to fight about what to do and not do,” Biden said in a news conference, “But if they actually do what they’re capable of doing with the forces amassed on the border, it is going to be a disaster for Russia if they further invade Ukraine.”

Biden also made it “clear with President [Vladimir] Putin” that any Russian soldiers crossing the border to Ukraine would be considered an invasion, warning that killing Ukrainian soldiers would be crossing the line.

Washington has insisted that the U.S. and its Western allies will be “united” should Russia launch an incursion into Ukraine. 

U.S. Secretary of State Anthony Blinken met with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov on Friday in Geneva to discuss Russia’s “sweeping wishlist of security demands.”

The U.S. embassy in Ukraine was told to evacuate family members, staff, as well as other government employees and Americans in general, in case of a Russian military move.

This week, NATO chief Jens Stoltenberg claimed that the alliance “will not compromise on core principles such as the right for each nation to choose its own path.” 

The New York Times reported that Biden is considering sending U.S. military forces to NATO Allies in the Baltics and Eastern Europe in case of a Russian invasion.

According to the Ukrainian Navy on Facebook, Ukraine and France have both held joint exercises in the Black Sea, with Spain joining in by sending its own naval forces to the Mediterranean and the Black Sea.

“Russia cannot tell any country what to do, so NATO will protect and defend the sovereignty of any country that can or wants to join NATO,” Spanish Defense Minister Margarita Robles said.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Edrogan will be making a visit to Ukraine at the beginning of February to hold talks with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in the hopes of de-escalating the tensions between Russia and the former Soviet nation.

We must continue to pray this has a peaceful outcome but I’m not sure at this point what is going to happen because just like WMD’s they set the narratives to push their agendas and it looks like they are aiming at war
