I think every day is a test. Was the same before COVID and will continue after.

God molds each of us over time into what He intends for us to be.

If were were specifically referring to COVID I would say it was a light test because most of us had the liberty to make a decision and not suffer great losses as a result. A true test would be to threaten personal wellbeing or one of your family if we refused the vaccine. True, some lost jobs, but a job is a small thing in comparison to a life. Almost everyone lost some personal freedom in varying degrees regardless of our decisions.

The toughest thing about COVID was the loss of many lives, many of them people close to some of us. COVID victims number in the millions. In some cases decisions determined that outcome. In some cases it didn't. If you are alive and have had COVID, be thankful because for many it didn't go that way. Natural immunity didn't pan out for many, neither did a vaccine. If you survived so far rest assured it had nothing to do with you, but with God's keeping.

I am not going to attempt to guess what God is doing in all of this. It isn't in my pay grade. God traditionally uses bad things to a good end, even if that good is chastisement from Him. Pride is a terrible thing and I have seen it on both sides of this. Anything that is fearful to us is no surprise to God.

God would have us all dwell in unity.

Paul ran the race to the end and I think he was an excellent example to all of us. Run the race, seek the Lord.

I just wanted to insert a secular elite global thinking observation here. Have and are we seeing it?

Hey Dennis. Thanks for the reply to this. I was going to delete it here and repost it on the COVID thread. I had the feeling maybe George was intending on this not being a COVID sort of thread. Somehow I lost it. Thankfully your repost allowed it to live on.

The controlled media is very good at diverting our attention, at making small things into big things and big things almost invisible.

Crisis can be created and managed if necessary. Crisis can be given a false narrative. Whatever war the world is in, the news for that nation demonizes the other party. Sometimes it's warranted, often it is not.

Yep lady, our story is still in the making, the last page is not written yet :)

I guess you planned to say mediator instead of moderator?

Hi Star :)

In a way I see  Covid as a test, we can either trust the Lord and not fear or be like the world and be paranoid. I don't mean to say anything about vaccines, that's everybody's own decision to make, God is not going to judge us by taking that or not, but He doesn't want us to fear and to trust Him alone for our life, who can  add or take away any day to our life?

Do you  know that "Fear not " is 365 times in the Bible?

There's one for everyday !

I like simplicity... maybe due to the simpleton I am  It appears to me God has told us all His plans plainly, if we will accept it as that, and this testing is more like revealing how we have taken the created essence and held it of more importance than Him Who created it... thus testing is more of a revealing of the hidden things of heart where we think of ourselves one way and yet the reaction to the test reveals a reality of another way... a way that is wrong within us! I am certain The Father wants us to be like His Son and is actively pursuing that reality within us all who are born of Him... I think no matter the test this is why we should count it a joy for we are witnessing The Living Hand of God presently in our life for our better!

No need to go into detail, as I know you are fully aware of what is happening. It is interesting where and when liberal media diverts our attention to something else. To take our notice away from something as or more important to our lives. Manipulation, misdirection, deceit, false flags; all in a day's work.

I've often wondered what happened to this investigation or that, what became of them, anything changed?

I agree with @ladypeartree, life is one big test.  We are always being tested so we can be refined more.  Every decision we make can be considered a test.  Some tests are easy to pass while others are not, which we can see and know when the end results are held up to scripture.  In this case, who should we believe, what advice should we follow, how do we respond to others???  It is sad to say that we cannot believe our elected officials, or even those appointed by them, as most of them follow a certain preset idea, even at the cost of the truth.  What advice they give misses the mark just as their agenda does.   That being said, we should always treat them with love and bring them up to the Lord asking that His will be done in both this situation and their lives.

As for what time we are in, I believe we are moving rapidly toward the end of the church age.  Exactly where we are on His timeline, none of us know.  The best we can do is examine the recent past in the light of scripture and "guess".

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
