Do you see yourself as a futurist?

Partially. Yes, at this time, but I am not set in concrete on but a few things. End time stuff was never a big deal for me in ministry or otherwise. Over the last few years, I have read and studied much in hopes of light. I do think it is a blessing and helpful that I carried little bias into the frey. Honestly, I just do not care which column is correct.

I do want to know the truth of these things, if that is even possible.

For now. What is a Kingdom? What constitutes a Kingdom? More pointedly, what does the whole of scripture say about Christ’s Kingdom?

“Yet I have set My King On My holy hill of Zion.” “I will declare the decree: The Lord has said to Me, ‘You are My Son, Today I have begotten You. Ask of Me, and I will give You The nations for Your inheritance, And the ends of the earth for Your possession.
Psalms 2:6‭-‬8 NKJV
https://bible.com/bible/114/psa.2.6-8.NKJV

Now therefore, be wise, O kings; Be instructed, you judges of the earth. Serve the Lord with fear, And rejoice with trembling. Kiss the Son, lest He be angry, And you perish in the way, When His wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all those who put their trust in Him.
Psalms 2:10‭-‬12 NKJV
https://bible.com/bible/114/psa.2.10-12.NKJV

The Lord said to my Lord, “Sit at My right hand, Till I make Your enemies Your footstool.” The Lord shall send the rod of Your strength out of Zion. Rule in the midst of Your enemies! The Lord is at Your right hand; He shall execute kings in the day of His wrath. He shall judge among the nations, He shall fill the places with dead bodies, He shall execute the heads of many countries. He shall drink of the brook by the wayside; Therefore He shall lift up the head.
Psalms 110:1‭-‬2‭, ‬5‭-‬7 NKJV
https://bible.com/bible/114/psa.110.1-7.NKJV

This is a good start...for those who want to understand that a Kingdom is coming.  :)

I don't think I understand.  What does that say then?  That the earth can have no living humans left before Christ returns?

One version is in opposition of the other so the Bible compilers had to do some deep digging and hopefully praying to resolve the conflict.  They determined that other copies showed the first translation with the word NOT in the first part of the sentence.  Some of the Worthy theologians must know about this conflict and could explain much better than I.  I'm sorry for putting confusion into the mix here.  Everyone who says translations are very different are talking truth.  The Holy Spirit reveals everything to us if we ask then patiently watch and listen.

I was thinking about this last night and thought about the story when King David was doing the counting, the census, and all of the misery that came with that decision.  I'm wondering if counting people and coming up with numbers is something the Lord is not pleased with.  It's like putting a limitation on Him and we know that is NOT possible.

Why Preterism has some truths (and why it's wrong) is because historical events are cyclical.

Nothing new under the sun and GOD does things under law and order, BUT HOW does anyone know which parts to use and which parts not to use to predict what will take place in the future?

I have such a hard time with the harvest and the stages that it supposedly predicts events especially when I read the harvest will separate the wheat from the tares. Doesn't seem like stages to me.

I believe the second you lay down laws on the words of God you are toast as to any new information coming your way. You instantly go from seeking His way to seeking your own, and you will find everything you are looking for either way.  BUT only in one way is EVERYTHING TRUE, the other will only ever be partial and conflict.

In my studies I have found that the same verses change their meaning with the more wisdom and knowledge I gain yet their the truth of the verse doesn't change.  It is a miracle.

Thank you for the reply

And the proper Christian understanding written by the Jewish New Testament writers can be found in Acts 2.

Acts 2:29-36
"Brethren, I may confidently say to you regarding the patriarch David that he both died and was buried, and his tomb is with us to this day. And so, because he was a prophet and knew that God had sworn to him with an oath to seat one of his descendants on his throne, he looked ahead and spoke of the resurrection of the Christ, that he was neither abandoned to Hades, nor did his flesh suffer decay. This Jesus God raised up again, to which we are all witnesses. Therefore, having been exalted to the right hand of God, and having received from the Father the promise of the Holy Spirit, He has poured forth this which you both see and hear.  "For it was not David who ascended into heaven, but he himself says: 'The LORD said to my Lord, 'Sit at My right hand, until I make your enemies a footstool for your feet.' Therefore, let all the house of Israel know for certain that God has made Him both Lord and Christ—this Jesus whom you crucified."

  • Jesus is already enthroned.
  • Jesus already rules.
  • The throne oathed to David was the resurrection.
  • Jesus will remain seated on his Father's throne at/as his Father's right arm until all his enemies are made a footstool.

The Jew Peter, speaking from an inherently Hebraic mindset with a newly revealed understanding of the prophecies under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit at Pentecost (a cyclical holy day) corrected the older, veiled, less-informed Hebraic mindset when speaking to Hebrew converts to Christ.

Jesus today rules His kingdom, which today is the spiritual kingdom, but after the 7th trumpet sounds He will rule the physical kingdoms of the world. (Satan is now god of this world.)

I have never read anyone prove the current nation of Israel is a restoration of covenant Israel that was promised in the Old Testament. Neither do I understand how something that isn't restored can be prophetically significant in any way.

And point of clarification: Preterists do understand how some claim the current state of Israel is a fulfillment of prophecy. We just disagree. To say we "do not UNDERSTAND" something is a rather dubious statement. For the record: most of the partial-preterists I have met in Worthy are former Dispensational Premillennialists. We do understand. We just disagree.

Is there another nation of Israel hiding somewhere? Or do you expect another nation of Israel to replace the one that is there now, so it will be Ezekiel 37 come to pass?

So how does this 6,000 year end ... with the saint resurrection (judgment seat of Christ) ... so it would also connect to the end of the 7th day (7,000th year) that you'd have a different resurrection with a different judgment ... hence why I posted the Scriptures about the last day.

So look at the QUESTION YOU originally asked ... and think of it in a cyclical pattern.  When you do so, the Scriptures will fall in line easily.  There is NOTHING NEW UNDER THE SUN!

First, how many years do you think the 'time' is off by on the Jewish Calendar?  Anywhere around 218?  Just asking.

I went to the question I asked,  and realized I didn't and can't connect those two thoughts.  IT'S OK.  I completely understand my brains limitations.  I just have to wait, but thank you for trying.

NOW I understand why Israel becoming a nation, one of THE BIGGEST MIRACLE I personally believe ever took place  (especially  when added to all the other 'tribes' that became nations after the same amount of years) is looked at as something else.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
