We think the way we do because that is how He thinks and it is inherent in what He created. So, then to grasp in an even rudamentary way--our Maker--it is required to have been made the way we are.

"We are marvelously made" Don't check your brain at the door, but also be assured that we need the Paraclete--to illuminate what we see.

For a scatterbrain simpleton dummy such as myself, the questions I posed can be as complicated as DNA and its workings. The Bible is written so simply that even a child can understand the Gospel. Yet so complex, the best biblical minds argue over its meanings and interpretations.

The single subject of what it means to be made in the image of God, I have pages of notes, and volumes of books and commentaries have been written on the subject. Some see it as a set of attributes, some as a job description, and some as a representation and stand-in for God in His physical absence.

Each view and category require a detailed and concise explanation to discern and reason.

Those discussions always lead to what-if questions. What if they are in a coma, what if they are mentally challenged (as myself), what if… Simple, my green pea brain screams no.

Do all humans have or share the same attributes equally? How many of those attributes do we share with the animal kingdom?

Granted, there are simple things. The wife tells me, “Dennis, you’re so simple; I can read you like a book.”

Dennis, how would you like a kiss? Oh, honey, I would sure like that! “Alright then; Keep It Simple Stupid.”

So yes, maybe I need to keep it simple 😊

‘So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being.’

The Wycliffe Bible says, ‘Therefore the Lord God formed man of the slime of [the] earth, and breathed into his face the breathing of life; and man was made into a living soul. (And so the Lord God formed man out of the slime of the earth, and breathed into his face the breathe of life; and then the man was made into a living soul.)’ The word ‘dust’ is better translated from the Hebrew as it is here as ‘slime’ or ‘clay’. (Slime of clay draws even more DNA out when touched than dust.)

DNA is transferred when we touch something porous and DNA is also transferred through our breath…  

As Jesus put His hands into the slime of the earth, His very own DNA was drawn out and intentionally imparted into the slime or clay… when He breathed into it, He intentionally imparted more of Himself. New research shows that our breath can be used as an unique identifying feature, thanks to the varying assemblies of internal microbes that inhabit our bodies. To discover these unique “breathprints,” ‘Science NOW’ reports, scientists recruited volunteers to blow into a mass spectrometer, a machine often used in chemistry to separate chemical components of different samples. Within seconds, the mass spectrometer spit out results for each person. These breathprints vary between individuals and the researchers found a unique core signature, to the point that it could be used to identify the individual participants in the study.

God spoke everything else that He created into being, but He FORMED man with His own hands and then breathed His own breath into Him. Later, He took woman out of the man that He created. So God did not only create man in His own likeness, He imparted His very own DNA into us. No other created being has God’s DNA and no other created being is made in the image and likeness of God. We are His children and are made by God and from God very own DNA.

This is why the devil hates us so much. As wonderful and as beautiful and as gifted that he was made, the devil and every other created species is not of the God species… only mankind is part of the God species. Now, having said that, we are not God and we are not gods… we are the children of God. I had to say that because there are a lot of strange doctrines out there.

As children of God, when we receive Jesus as Lord and Savior we are raised into a position of great authority and are assigned to rule and reign with Christ and in the power of His Name as joint heirs of Christ and as children of the Most High God.

You have God’s DNA and in Christ, you have His anointing, His authority and His supernatural miracle working power. You have been assigned to rule on earth in Jesus Name and to destroy the work of the devil wherever you see it. Rise up today, walk as a child of the Most High and have dominion over sickness, poverty, and every work of the devil, in Jesus Name!

We can not make it more simple than that.

When we look in the mirror, we see our image.

God does not have a body but we have a body. 

He made man in his image and not the image of a bird or another animal. 

We are standing upright we think like he things.

And we reason, we have compassion and we can like and dislike. 

He create things and we can create things.

We plan and we draw a blue print and start to put our plan into action. 

We communicate in different ways and we communicate with our moods.

And the Lord also communicates with moods. 

Paul said the Spirit of the Lord is Joyous within me.

Another time he said, the Spirit grieves within me...

The Creator does not have a body because he did not come out from a woman. 

When he created man he looked at him and said one day I am going to look like him or I am going to be like him with flesh and bones. 

And when Kain enter the world He said that's how I am going to enter the world, I will be born from a woman.

 God wants us  to “be like Him” , developing the spiritual DNA displayed in the fruit of the Spirit.

Per your suggestion, I thought I would start this OP and attempt to clarify my intent and meaning in another thread.

I will try to be brief. :-) What I am about to write, is something I think you know, but for clarity and a wee witness--here it is.

Logic is actually a very simple concept. One of the easiest ways to 'express' it by example is with a logical construct, which is what I referred to earlier.

"if this--than that" or put another way. If A is A, it cannot be B. Or if a thing is good, the opposite cannot be good.

Jesus Christ is the Word--the LOGOS as John expressed by the Holy Spirit.

3056. λόγος logos, log´-os; from 3004; something said (including the thought); by implication, a topic (subject of discourse), also reasoning (the mental faculty) or motive; by extension, a computation; specially, (with the article in John) the Divine Expression (i.e. Christ): — account, cause, communication, x concerning, doctrine, fame, x have to do, intent, matter, mouth, preaching, question, reason, + reckon, remove, say(-ing), shew, x speaker, speech, talk, thing, + none of these things move me, tidings, treatise, utterance, word, work.

Many years ago, I took two courses in Logic at college. I realized, simply that this is how I thought every day and we all do whether we are aware of it or not.

Since first reading the bible, I was always fascinated with what John wrote there in referring to Jesus as the Word--the Logos.

I believe the Holy Spirit shed light on that for me in beginning to understand who God is. Again, brieifly...

The Logos is the rational logical reason for all things. He is such, (if) so what follows (then) is that everything He made is an expression of Himself. If God--then........... everything follows "I am". He exists and because He exists everything else 'IS'. I am going to refrain from (at this time) getting afield into 'ontology', but what we are discussing is existence or 'being'. God the Word wished to share 'being' or existence and to have a family with which to share it.

He is the logical rational reason for all things.

I hope this is helpful for folks to expand their thinking about our God. The 'Paraclete' is present to Help.

Also look at the Hebrew words amar and dabar which is the way one of the Greek words logos was used for the Hebrew word. Hebrew 1st Greek second. 

All this needs to be understood from the Hebraic mindset and language, you know the ones that wrote the Bible and the culture the Bible was written in over a period of over 1,000 yrs
