We all think and imagine differently, but yes, eternity will be glorious and is our blessed hope.

The way I think and picture the millennium and eternity is the restoration of God’s original creation and plans for humanity. We will spend roughly seven years in Heaven during the Tribulation period. Then return with Jesus at His second coming, and Earth will be our eternal home, and the New Jerusalem will be beyond our vocabulary and imagination.

The Lord is always at work and never idle, and I believe we will be too. The Bible indicates we will be worshipping the Lord and have jobs, responsibilities, services, and assignments on Earth.

Adam tended the Garden of Eden. I do not believe work was initially intended to be back-breaking strenuous activity by the sweat of the brow but a joy and pleasure before the fall and curse. Whatever our lot, we will not be physically or mentally tired, lose interest, or become bored in our glorified bodies and activities.

Since we will be “like” Jesus, I suspect the laws of physics will not apply to our glorified bodies. I believe our eyes will be opened, and the invisible things will be visible to us. I have heard that the spiritual realm is more real than the 3D physical realm we live in, and I suspect Adam & Eve could visualize everything in the physical and spiritual realm. Eve communicated with the serpent and didn’t run off screaming in fear of abnormality.

I get the impression (or wishful thinking) we may be able to see the notes coming from musical instruments, smell colors, hear flowers and plants, and communicate with animals. We cannot fathom what the original creation must have looked like or how Adam was initially created. How does our corrupted flesh understand what it will be like to be incorruptible, unable to sin?

All work and no play make Jack a dull boy: I am confident we will have plenty of time to fellowship with our heavenly family and assemble ourselves. How many questions do we have we would like to ask Jesus personally, the patriarchs, the prophets, fellow Christians we lost touch with over the years, etc.?

God’s word is eternal (the Bible), there are things the angels desire to investigate, and they continue to learn also. I suspect there will be Bible study from the author of the Bible Himself for all of eternity (a super Bible study). There are still astonishing discoveries made in scripture by scholars from time to time. Such as the first ten generations spelled out and made into an incredibly coherent sentence. How deep does God’s word go? The Gospel is so simple even a child can understand it and accept Christ as their Savior. So deep and complex, the best biblical minds have studied it for hundreds of years and have divided opinions and only scratched the surface.

Now the Debbie downer: In our glorified state, no doubt we will still have free will and choice. I would suspect one of the first things I would notice and look for when I reach Heaven is the presence of my family, loved ones, and friends. I know the emotions I will feel, the opportunities I had to share Jesus that I willfully neglected to do, and my shame. It will all come out at the Bema Seat of Christ.

The Lord will wipe away all our tears, but when? Studying the book of Revelation, the Tribulation saints are the only group to have their tears immediately wiped away. If my thoughts and interpretation are accurate, there might be a long time before God wipes away our tears? Perhaps it is a time of reflection on those missed opportunities and neglect we squandered, not sharing Jesus. Naturally, I hope I am wrong in my interpretation and hermeneutics.

The one that will be fun for me to meet will be Ezekiel.  I enjoyed his book in the Bible.  I also enjoyed Daniel.  So I look forward to meeting him.

Sitting here thinking about what you said. There really isn't anyone I just long to meet.. other then Jesus hello! I just really want to know about all those that came between you know? All the ones He used that no one knows who they are. All those that made a huge difference for Christ yet thought they did nothing.. I really want to know there story.

A very long time ago, when I was first saved, I was told by this older person that we will be able to travel at the speed of thought.  We will also be able to communicate with animals.  Both of these suggestions allowed me to sit back and exercise my imagination a whole lot, and that in of itself was exciting and fun!

Lol….much the same, here.

I have quite an imagination, And I take much pleasure in knowing mine reaches far short of reality.

You really won't know how it compares to reality until you get there!  :D

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
