Mistype, but the meaning does not change.  Lifting your heads is the same as lifting your hands, both have to do with worship.

Still that's not what he is saying.

You miss the entire point of what he is saying. He's talking about them being redeemed when they see the abomination of desolation which is what revelation chapter 6-7 shows.

Its the day of their redemption. It's the day they become immortal.

AoD is going to happen half way through the Tribulation, just before Gods wrath is brought upon the world, not at the end of the tribulation.  This is why it is spiritual and not physical, as you keep suggesting.  Stay in Him and rejoice as His time is coming.

Tell me now, how does this tie into the 7th seal when the 144,000 are sealed to be His evangelist?  In order for anyone to become immortal, they have to be God.  They can be given eternal life, but that is different than being an immortal.  We do not become immortal, only God is immortal.

1 Timothy 6:12-16

12 Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, to which you were also called and have confessed the good confession in the presence of many witnesses. 13 I urge you in the sight of God who gives life to all things, and before Christ Jesus who witnessed the good confession before Pontius Pilate, 14 that you keep this commandment without spot, blameless until our Lord Jesus Christ’s appearing, 15 which He will manifest in His own time, He who is the blessed and only Potentate, the King of kings and Lord of lords, 16 who alone has immortality, dwelling in unapproachable light, whom no man has seen or can see, to whom be honor and everlasting power. Amen.

It deals with the opening of the 6th seal. In terror they are hiding from the wrath of God. This needs to be taken literally.

Revelation 6:12-17

Sixth Seal: Cosmic Disturbances

12 I looked when He opened the sixth seal, and behold, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became like blood. And the stars of heaven fell to the earth, as a fig tree drops its late figs when it is shaken by a mighty wind. Then the sky receded as a scroll when it is rolled up, and every mountain and island was moved out of its place. And the kings of the earth, the great men, the rich men, the commanders, the mighty men, every slave and every free man, hid themselves in the caves and in the rocks of the mountains, and said to the mountains and rocks, “Fall on us and hide us from the face of Him who sits on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb! For the great day of His wrath has come, and who is able to stand?”

Immortal means they are not subject to death. They won't die a second death.

When the mortal has put on immortality, they are not subject to death.

They have everlasting life.

Luke 21:21-23

Luke 21:21-23

Then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains, let those in the city get out, and let those in the country not enter the city.

For this is the time of punishment in fulfillment of all that has been written.

How dreadful it will be in those days for pregnant women and nursing mothers! There will be great distress in the land and wrath against this people.

When the abomination of desolation is placed in Jerusalem, it is the time of wrath. That's when people hide in caves on the day of the Lord. The wrath mentioned in verse 23.

Your not doing very good. The wrath mentioned in verse 23 takes place on the day of the Lord. Not 3.5 years before the day of the Lord as you claim.

Yes, they are litterally hiding from the wrath of God. Just like Jesus said in the gospel.

Scripture does not contradict itself.  Yet, we see one man write in two different epistles, using the word immortal or immortality; one claiming mortal is to put on immortal, and that only Jesus has immortality.  Seems to me that we need a tie breaker.  How about the words of Jesus Himself.  Did Jesus ever say His creation will have immortality or did He say we would have eternal life?

Now, ask yourself why Paul would say such a thing?  Could it be that through translation, man has made a mistake or is it that the word itself has more than one meaning?  Take 2 Timothy 1:10 where bibles use immortality yet the Greek uses incorruption.  Why would they do that?  In 1 Corinthians, where Paul uses immortality, he uses it right after corruption/incorruption.  The better word would of been the same word used in 2 Timothy 1:20, aphtharsia (G861), instead of athanasia (G110) In both places, it is translated to immortality, but they have different meanings.

So, ask yourself why Jesus never told anyone that they would have immortality.  He never did, so I highly suggest that the idea behind what Paul is saying in 1 Corinthians is death puts on life.

Dig deeper for a more solid understanding.

I think it is simple. We have eternal Life and that Life is Christ. And that Life is not corruptible. As well as our new bodies will not see corruption, just as His did not and will not.

It seems to me that these scriptures speak of a stste of being and doing so from different angles, if you will.

When those in Judea see the abomination that causes desolation placed in Jerusalem, they flee to the mountains.

Revelation 6 paints a picture of people in the mountains hiding in caves on the day of the Lord. Going underground during the war of Armegeddon.

There is now an app to help you find the nearest cave in Israel. It will help you navigate the mountains and lead you to a safe cave.

The Jewish believers, in 70 A.D., believed the warnings (in the gospels) and fled to the mountains, escaping the devastations caused by the Roman army.

The people hiding from the wrath of God (to no effect) in Revelation are a completely different context.

Luke 21:21-23 is not saying the same thing that Revelation 6:12-17 is saying.

Luke 21:21-23 is talking about BELIEVERS.  Revelation 5:12-17 is talking about NON-BELIEVERS.

This is a super posting.

This is a something out of the blue. Epouranio, from above, from God, from Jesus.

Only Jesus is immortal after the Cross and the resurrection, and not before the end of his testing but after he endured all the testings that were  appointed by the Heavenly Father. Even the tests that were put infront of him when HE PRAYED IN THE GARDEN OF GETHSEMANE.

Jesus was and is and will be the only one who is immortal and he can never die, physically, for he died once physically while he was in a body that it could decay...or see corruption. (Decay after his death, just like the bodies of everyone in the world are after they physically die.)

We should also consider that his cannot happened to people who are burned. Because they are burned or cremated...neither it can happen to people who have been eaten by the beast after their death or while alive.

The point is we are in him, we are not on our own.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
