Why would one need a button to ignore a thread when all they have to do is ignore it? Follow all the threads you want to read and when someone posts in them you will be notified. Don't read the others.

Oh my, NPR radical radio. It actually has  few fun programs I listen to while on the road.

And wow I have totally missed the great big  ignore this thread button. Evidently I used it in the past as there are pages of ignored threads from back in 2018 still on my ignore list of threads.

Why have an ignore button at all?  Well I hope it may declutter my screen's list of threads, may save time, and help in my case  to be seeing what is there new to be seen in a category. I do have some vision issues that affects up close vision. The less I have to contend with to find what I want the better it is for me.

I don't follow any threads, nor any poster for that matter.

Hi all,

I don't want to be putting individuals on ignore BUT it might be nice to be able to put entire threads on ignore.

Is it possible to thin out the shear number of threads and categories of threads so that new ones and/or one's interesting ( to me) might better stand out ( for me) and not be missed as I look around the WCF?

I don't think I have seen such a feature before.  Is it a perhaps useful idea, or maybe a bummer of one?

Would you likely use such a feature or not? What might be the flaws in the idea/thought?

Not something I have in 62 years alive 50+ saved ever done. Wanted to? Duh  yes but I knew that thought was not of God but the enemy. See if I would not do this in heaven nor do it to Christ nor wanted it done to me I never will anyone. I can start reading and then ..nope don't need to keep reading or don't need to read that thread. But ignore.. it hurts. I see so many Christian Youtube channels where they never reply or even read the comments and so many so so so many asking for help prayer.. endless. Some very loving men women of God won't  let you even post nor tell  you where to go if you have any prayers needs. Its "we turned it off because of" yeah.. all the other people. Like replying to this known Preacher that I never see replying .. I truly thought I was agreeing yet "its my channel my forum so I can say do anything I want here" <---amen and this is the same thing for this but he added about what I said "it was mumble jumble incoherent".

That really hurt...if he knew me he would never say that. Words spelling talking.. oh man its a nightmar. Well take a guess how long I have been at this ONE post? A while now. Its to long.. to short.. its n0t coming out at all like I thinking. So this preacher did nothing wrong .. I just said Father forgive me. It is very sad that the only ones that have ever let me know about how I talk spell are believers the world? Didn't care. My point is.. this is how I look at many posts. I know mine can oh be taking the wrong way and.. its just text I don't care.. say what you want.. my love for you is not based on how yo talk or you are sinless or.. just .. need help? Love to pray..

So ignore.. I won't  don't do it.. ALLOT of so called mods.. this coming from PLEASE no offense but a mod.. I tend to put them a tad higher.. expect more from them .. as believers.. to set an example.. this is just me

Hi, I don't think anyone is compelled to read every post on every thread. That would be a 24/7 job.

As for myself, it will an effort to be able to see more not less, by decluttering the screen of  some of what what I have seen already. I'll soon see if it helps me or not.

I am as I jokingly call it "half blinded" in one eye and I see double out of the other, which keeps my brain busy sorting what it sees close up. At any distance it is not a problem at all as  I then see better than 20/20 from both eyes. My eye surgeons call it "stymied" as in they are stymied as to what to do next if anything.

Sorry, I had this thread on ignore so I didn't notice it was active. :whistling:

Just kidding. I hope @Neighbor gets a kick out of that. :D

I don't see the point in it myself but if it works for others, then the purpose has been served. I can see the reasons why others might use that feature... notifications, perhaps? Maybe someone is "done" with a topic and they wish to forget about it.

Too bad for our brother @Ghostdog, though. He created a topic called "Ignore this thread" and of course, no one is ignoring it. Of course we aren't!

He created another topic years ago where no one else was welcome, so our brother @Henry_iain took it over and welcomed everybody to post there.

Inspired, I conducted a little experiment: I created a topic called, "Everyone is welcome in this thread!". It died from lack of activity months ago.

What was my point in this response? Oh yes, the ignore topic feature. It's there for those of us who wish to use it. :noidea:

Well, on my phone, here, there is a "Follow topic" setting which I can turn off, I understand, if I want to stop reading a thread.

But this might show only after I start writing a reply!

We can pray for God to guide our attention.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • George Whitten, the visionary behind Worthy Ministries and Worthy News, explores the timing of the Simchat Torah War in Israel. Is this a water-breaking moment? Does the timing of the conflict on October 7 with Hamas signify something more significant on the horizon?

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this study, I'll be focusing on Daniel and his picture of the resurrection and its connection with Yeshua (Jesus).

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
