The world is clamoring as the people in fear or fury express their pent up emotions; the rulers are trying to calm the situation and many innocent people are caught in the cross-fire.

However, we know that our God is above the storm and we as His people need to know what He is saying to us at this time.

I`ll start off with - `Be still and know that I am God.` We need to be still to hear the voice of the Lord.

What do you hear the Lord say? Please share -

Isaiah 40:

1 "Comfort ye, comfort ye my people, saith your God."

As violence and unrest escalates around the globe,

we can rest assured that our warfare is already accomplished.

2 Speak ye comfortably to Jerusalem, and cry unto her,

that her warfare is accomplished,

that her iniquity is pardoned:

for she hath received of the Lord's hand double for all her sins.

Prayer warriors, lift up their voices.

Isaiah 62:

6 I have set watchmen on your walls, O Jerusalem;
They shall never hold their peace day or night.
You who make mention of the Lord, do not keep silent,
7 And give Him no rest till He establishes
And till He makes Jerusalem a praise in the earth.

Well, we certainly are living in end times and the rulers of this world need to submit God's Kingdom - Matthew 6:9. That is the only solution. They keep fighting over their little kingdoms, making a mess of the world.

Thank you to all who have contributed to this topic of what God is saying to us. As the Body of Christ we can all share and hear what the Lord is saying. So I thought I would summarize the good thoughts you have all contributed.

We need to be still and appreciate that God is in control, looking to Jesus and not just focused on the troubles of the world but to be practical, to continue to forgive and love others.

Jesus said the troubles of the world must come to pass, (wars and rumors of wars) and these are exciting prophetic times when we need to pray for Israel and know that the rulers of the world will one day bow the knee to the Lord.

So true Ad Hoc, and thank you for that timely reminder.

The times are distressing. Nations roaring and killing rampant. It looks bad. But turn your mind back to 3,500 years ago. God's people had barren desert left and right, the deep waters of the Red Sea in front and the the most powerful army on earth behind them. This army was in a killing mood. They had suffered ten plagues and their firstborn were dead. They were just waiting to stomp on God's people and plunge their swords into soft bellies. Nobody knew that they only had hours to live. Everybody thought that God's People only had hours to live. And instead, some hours later, Moses sang a song ...

10 Thou didst blow with thy wind, the sea covered them: they sank as lead in the mighty waters. 11 Who is like unto thee, O LORD, among the gods? who is like thee, glorious in holiness, fearful in praises, doing wonders? 12 Thou stretchedst out thy right hand, the earth swallowed them. 13 Thou in thy mercy hast led forth the people which thou hast redeemed: thou hast guided them in thy strength unto thy holy habitation (Ex 15:10–13)

STAND and see the salvation of the Lord!!!

Amen, and then also in many other seemingly impossible situations God revealed His Strong Arm,

eg. the 6-day war (Ps. 83) where the enemies were seemingly much stronger than Israel -

Israel  AGAINST

OTHERS - Egypt, Syria, Jordan, Iraq & Lebanon, (supported by Algeria, Kuwait, Libya, Morocco, Pakistan, PLO, Sudan, & Tunisia)

Their Strength.

Israel - 264,000 troops, 300 aircraft, 800 tanks.

The Others - 547,000 troops 957 aircraft, 2,504 tanks.

I think the lord has been clear in scripture that be ready for you don’t know when the lord comes. If we are ready for Jesus to return we will be ready for all things. Even our death too. But if we know we are not ready then we see by the world events and rumors of war that we better get closer to God as fast as we can. It will come on the world as a thief in the night and they shall not escape. Thanks for this topic Marilyn it’s timely.

I guess one can find support for that which they already believe and concur with, and that belief may be 180 degrees opposite what  yet another Christian  is led to believe and do.

Personally I think that to just pray is much akin to faith without acts. It is dead prayer.

I think more is required of a Christian than  "waiting on the Lord"

My Lord gave pretty strong indication that more is expected; that if his disciples do not do more than be silent in prayer the very stones will cry out.

There is a time and place to contemplate praying a prayer closet and there is a time to be declaring boldly of Yeshua too, even confiscating ( providing) a colt for him.

..."Then, as He (Yeshua) was now drawing near the descent of the Mount of Olives, the whole multitude of the disciples began to rejoice and praise God with a loud voice for all the mighty works they had seen, saying: “ ‘Blessed is the King who comes in the name of the Lord!’
Peace in heaven and glory in the highest!” And some of the Pharisees called to Him from the crowd, “Teacher, rebuke Your disciples.” But He answered and said to them, “I tell you that if these should keep silent, the stones would immediately cry out.”....

My son had a dream in which he was watching out of the window and saw the sun and moon going very fast. Sun up- sun down - moon - sun etc very quick.

I had to think of He will shorten the days.

Hi Neighbor,

I agree, for my `waiting on the Lord` brings thanksgiving and praise and then to know what the Lord would have me do.

Also, you may have missed what I said in the summary, from Marathoner`s comments -

We need to be still and appreciate that God is in control, looking to Jesus and not just focused on the troubles of the world but to be practical, to continue to forgive and love others.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
