Another aspect to this is how aid money is spent. On one side there is an economy, development and industry, a civilized culture. on the other side, having financial contributions from various nations, NGOs and other entities, what exactly has been done to better the lives of the populace?

If those things mean trying to survive in an aggressively hostile international environment that supports or actively tries to exterminate them, yes.

In a war you either kill the enemy till they are gone or they surrender and stop being your enemy or you die at their hands.  Leaving a living enemy behind you ends up getting you a bayonet in your back and it starts all over again on a grander scale.

In my day it was the Vietcong who were my enemies in war.  While I'm sure there were many very fine people on their side that doesn't change the fact that they were shooting at me with the intent of killing me and that made them my enemy.

This is the nature of war, it's been that way since the earliest days of mankind.

I totally agree. In many ways we have left the 'enemy' behind. We left viet namm, so I can't say that was a victory and we still have that influence over there. We stopped fighting in Korea and now we have a mess in North Korea. We left Afghanistan just like the Russians.

These were wars we were fronting among other situations we backed out of.. IN this case we are in league with another nation so I think we need to be very careful. Of course nothing I think matters here so far as what they are going to do. We also have China to think about. Remember this is what killed Hitler in spreading himself too thin and conquesting too far.

In this case we are a divided nation with one of our presidents siding with muslims and watering down our heritage.

So what I think we need is directed resolve and to know who the real enemy is and single them out. We have the tech to do that now better than it has ever been. A lot of that specific targeting has been successful. If they seek to kill us, we kill them. What other solution is there?  If they are caught in the flow of war and are totally innocent under a ruthless leader, we minimize it and if we show those people real love and concern, they have no more reason to call us the enemy.

If OTOH, we see all of them in that over generalized way as 'enemies' we risk horrific things that didn't have to happen. As we seen in viet namm, there are things that happend that are too evil to discuss that OUR troops did to innocent, some of them by loopy murderous commanders. Not all. I understand that was also a confusing war.

Would you say Israel is doing something similar right now? Or do we even know exacly what they are doing. I doubt we know the half of it. They have to do what they have to do. Hopefully everyone sees both side of this.

God's will gets worked out over many decades and generations, not commonly in a blitz. The present conflict as awful as it is may set the stage for a very long mission ahead. Can't be "Missionary For A Day!", got to be in it for the long haul.

God's word is often not well received until a series of serious afflictions present themselves, and then  upon but a few.

In another post elsewhere you brought up the idea of selling War Bonds to pay for our wars.

I actually think this is a good idea, War Bonds to support war paid for by those who want them.

I think this would also be a good idea regarding migrants, Migrant Bonds to support migrants paid for by those who want them.

But it doesn't work that way in the real world, money is taken from one group that has worked for it, to their detriment, to benefit another that didn't work for it to their gain.

Pogo's Walt Kelly. Funny yes, but is it so? No I don't believe it is. Each individual is solely responsible for their action and thought, but each are also affected by the generations  preceding and will affect those following, with very few learning from either.

So what to do about a cluster of people facing dire straits? Build a wall build it quickly evidently as  Egypt is doing right now to keep those Gaza strip refugees out of their barren land. Wonder what they see as so terrible about those from Gaza that they don't want them in to help build a prosperous Egypt.

There won't be peace there until either the Jews all leave, or the Palestinians are all dead.  It's sad, but it's the situation.   That's why God told them to kill everything that drew breath when they went into the land from Egypt thousands of years ago.

We should remember that the general population in Gaza voted Hamas as the governing body there, and from all I have heard and read, they haven't changed their minds.

First ask why you have that cluster, because therein will you find both the cause of it and the answer to it.

Eliminate the cause, eliminate the problem.  If you find what you are doing is not making the problem go away then you have failed to find the cause and address it.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • George Whitten, the visionary behind Worthy Ministries and Worthy News, explores the timing of the Simchat Torah War in Israel. Is this a water-breaking moment? Does the timing of the conflict on October 7 with Hamas signify something more significant on the horizon?

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
