Something sinister has quietly slipped through the din of the Covid-19 slugfest. We need to focus more on the greater dangers associated with genetic manipulation and gain of function research.

What began as a scientific mission to remedy congenital defects has rapidly morphed into a global race to create designer babies, super soldiers and transhumans through the aid of biotechnology, Artificial Intelligence and/or machine-neuralinking. 21st century eugenics is tacitly justified by the need to boost “national competitiveness”.

Are we returning to the Days of Noah i.e. "Just like in the Days of Noah..." (Matthew 24:37-39)? What specifically marked the Days of Noah?

In the book of Enoch, Enoch describes the end times where the fallen angels have taught mankind to sin by teaching them the secret knowledge of genetic manipulation of animals. 

Enoch VII:5 And they (mankind) began to sin against birds, and beasts, and reptiles, and fish, and to devour one another's flesh, and drink the blood.

Book of Jasher 4:18 ... and the sons of men in those days took from the cattle of the earth, the beasts of the field and the fowls of the air, and taught the mixture of animals of one species with the other, in order therewith to provoke the Lord; and God saw the whole earth and it was corrupt, for all flesh had corrupted its ways upon earth, all men and all animals.

Sounds like Jasher 4:18, also seems to be describing genetic modification in these last days. Haven't done so yet, but I think I'll now look into the book of Jasher. Thanks

15 And Zepho went and he saw and behold there was a large cave at the bottom of the mountain, and there was a great stone there at the entrance of the cave, and Zepho split the stone and he came into the cave and he looked and behold, a large animal was devouring the ox; from the middle upward it resembled a man, and from the middle downward it resembled an animal, and Zepho rose up against the animal and slew it with his sword.

Some of what we call mythology may not actually be mythology.

I have seen from a dozen or so articles and/or videos of the possibility of finding Gilgamesh's tomb.  And it has DNA available in it, and it's been sequenced.  It will be interesting to see how this all comes out.   It's a bit too out there for me to buy into as a fact, but interesting enough to think possible.
