Hebrews 4:12 (KJV)

[12] For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

I love how God has handled the renewing of our minds...

..."Judge not, that you be not judged.  For with what judgment you judge, you will be judged; and with the measure you use, it will be measured back to you.  And why do you look at the speck in your brother’s eye, but do not consider the plank in your own eye?  Or how can you say to your brother, ‘Let me remove the speck from your eye’; and look, a plank is in your own eye?  Hypocrite! First remove the plank from your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye."....

Ouch! Can I meet my own standard by which I might judge another? Ouch ouch!

Better to "let" judgement be left to God whose judgement is perfect; and even God allows for His mercy to override his just wrath on occasion.

Yes, God is in control in this world we live in. Not Donald Trump or Elon Musk or any of the others who are trying to control our government and everything in it. Perhaps God has a plan and is allowing all of this chaos that is happening now. If He did not want it He surely would not allow it to happen. We don't know why. Our understanding is very different from God's understanding. That is faith and trust in God and knowing that God's Will Be Done and that He knows the whole picture. We do not.

The chaos was already there, and has been for years. Corruption, dacite, greed, money laundering, shedding of inocent blood and more has been entrenched for years. Exposing this all is the first step. What was surprising is the depth of the corruption. Its like walking into a dark room, turning on the light, and seeing all of the filth and mess that has accumulated over years of sloppy living. Is the problem the light that was turned on?  NO. Yet while all this is being exposed there are those who are blaming the people exposing the corruption and absolute government mess. They want to ignore it, turn off the light exposing it, and go back to sleep.

Sure there will be chaos and shaking up of this country as more and more is exposed and hopefully prosecutions are litigated against those who break the laws of this nation. Will this nation ever be spotlessly clean? NO, not hardly. Will this nation be used by God to accomplish some specific things before this nation is done? I pray that some things God will make happen that He has purposed overall.

Can God use leaders who are not Christians? I remember an pagan leader in the OT named Cyrus, of which the prophet Isaiah said years before Cyrus was born: [Isa 45:4-5 KJV] [4] For Jacob my servant's sake, and Israel mine elect, I have even called thee by thy name: I have surnamed thee, though thou hast not known me. [5] I [am] the LORD, and [there is] none else, [there is] no God beside me: I girded thee, though thou hast not known me.  The rest of Isaiah 45 that speaks about Cyrus outlined what God was going to accomplish though this pagan man who did not know God, and He did it plainly for His people's sake.

Its going to get bumpy kids . . . hang on to Jesus as this mess is exposed.

Seems to me God has given us record within the Bible, as far back in times as Genesis, with Egypt especially, that he does just that. He creates at least some individuals just for that purpose. Whether it is perceived as for good or bad is up to the beholder I suppose.

Personally I think it  is all of God  for the serving of his good purpose(s), and that man is obliged to do as Job asked of his wife, are we not to accept  evil as well as good and then give thanks to God in all matters whether we find them  to be good or bad (for us) at the time? Reference Job 2

It is often enough the very failure(s) of leaders that is used to reveal the awesome might of God as well as His demand to follow His instruction  exactly,  with great care, and not instead as one may decide is the way things should be.

The Bible doesn't say that we can't judge at all. It says we are not to judge hypocritically.

The mature son of God is mature because of growth by exercising “spiritual discernment”

I believe the more of the word we have hid in our hearts, and become doers and not only hearers, the better equipped we become to discern truth from the false. A given. And also there is the gift of discernment.

"He gives someone else the ability to discern whether a message is from the Spirit of God or from another spirit"

This is judgment brothers and sisters…if you do not discern by the Holy Spirit of the Living God in Christ…whether a “man is carnal or spiritual” there’s not much chance of you being able to reveal our Father to them…and worse…what if you are seduced by them?

default_thumbsup.gif.0d3a7de7cc1ea4d20925cae082696212.gif

Many yrs back our church invited a young popular christian evangelist to give a two day talk on some subject I do not remember. He was a good speaker, gave testimony of his conversion,  and everybody enjoyed his presentation. But at the end of his presentation my spirit was very troubled and I had 'judged' in my heart (prompted by the holy spirit) that he was not what he claimed. I made mention of this to the asst. pastor and a good friend.

As I was only maybe 10 yrs saved and not fully seasoned,  the pastor and others lit into me for judging this evangelist. I had no specific statement he made to present as my judgement, only a very troubled spirit. I 'almost' felt I should not have judged him publicly. Being aware that God says my heart is deceitful and wicked, so who am I to judge the man preaching Jesus.

This evangelist grew in popularity and then  Jerry Falwell Sr., Moral Majority Leader, the  took him under his wing.

"The Moral Majority was an American political organization and movement associated with the Christian right and the Republican Party in the United States. It was founded in 1979 by Baptist minister Jerry Falwell Sr. and associates, and dissolved in the late 1980s. It played a key role in the mobilization of conservative Christians as a political force and particularly in Republican presidential victories throughout the 1980s"

I think it was 2-3 yrs later my pastor confronted me. He said it turns out the evangelist was a fake, caught womanizing church members, and his testimony of  his salvation upon being investigated was also false. My friend was apologetic and encouraging.

Awake, and rise to my defense! Contend for me, my God and Lord.

Vindicate me in your righteousness, LORD my God; do not let them gloat over me.

I reckon if I'm going to make a stand, it's best I have full confidence in truly being spirit led, and not moved by emotion.

Thanks tatwo...

Don’t trust my words…take them to your alter and ask the Lord Yahshua to prove them for what they are…judge me.

You pass the judgment, brother. I'm silent more often than not these days. I primarily engage in light-hearted banter on this forum. Why?

The Lord taught me the value of silence during those years when I lost the ability to speak. According to His plan, after the Lord reversed the tide and healed this flesh, it pleased Him to teach me how to speak once more. The affected regions of the brain that were damaged by infection were regenerated but with regard to this rejuvenation, it was needful to develop the neural networks required to vocalize and concentrate on tasks in a meaningful fashion. It was an excruciating journey, surely the greatest challenge I have yet to face on this earth but after two years passed, the Lord declared that I was fit to walk as the man He fashioned me to be.

His instruction taught me to measure (judge) every word, my friend. What did He declare after He poured His Spirit upon me? Whatever words I speak, they will be His. Whomever curses me, curses Him; and whomever blesses me, blesses Him (the same applies to all of His Body). The woman who looked after me when I was bedridden and dying, who gave me food to eat when I had none and clothing to wear when all I had to were filthy rags, did all of this to Him... only she didn't know it. She gave freely with no expectation of return, but what she received in return far surpassed anything this world has to give: the Lord gave me to her as a son so the rest of her days on earth were spent in peace and love. She lost her only son, so the Almighty gave her another. As for me? My mother despised and disowned me, so He gave me another mother to honor and serve.

How was she judged by her Christian family? They despised and reviled her; her children had abandoned her as did her friends. She was left to die alone in a desolate place, but she was never despised nor abandoned at any time by the Lord. He sent me to her, brother. During those days while I struggled to learn how to vocalize (speak) again, I asked the Lord to teach me righteous judgment. He loves this woman and, on account of her being placed in my care by Him, I sought to judge properly so I would be a good servant.

It began with silence. I listened to the voice of the Lord carrying out whatever He bid me to do, learning the lessons He taught along the way. When it all began, I had no idea what the Lord would accomplish: I learned how to judge properly. Slow to speak, quick to listen, never forgetting where I came from and the gravity of judgment. It is a grave matter to be sure.

Proper judgment does not resemble the religious rantings of Christianity. It is spiritually discerned and, as I have witnessed over the years, confounds rote and ritualistic responses. Those whom the hide bound rail against will judge them, for their own words convict them. The wicked men they lionize testify of their hardened hearts, and the needy they condemn will be remembered when the dead are resurrected and judged by the Lord. They are numbered among the dead, and they will be judged among the dead.

The man who strikes me, I forgive. I say to the Lord, "I hold nothing against this man, Lord." This pleases Him. The man who devours the needy from this earth? I remain silent because his own deeds and words judge him. This also pleases the Lord.

The day comes, my friend!

Hmm lets see "Is it inappropriate to judge another?" "mature and maturing saints"

"I am not the savoir Jesus Christ is" “Our country needs a savior right now. And our country has a savior. And it’s not me. It’s somebody much higher up than me. Much higher.” Yet some that judge got this wrong and my first thought if it was me would be.. oh lord where did I miss it. Did we know God said Christ who is seated at the right hand of the Father didn't come to judge the world but to save it. Yeah He did not judge sinners... who are you again?

I can see what this is really about and to use your words OP to  "side step" to get to the meat no you don't have the right to judge based on what you said. The 12(with Paul) and more had the right they started those Churches they were over them. Again who are you again? What's behind this "judgement"? God NT "Do not judge according to appearance, but judge with righteous judgment." Now OT "For the LORD sees not as man sees; for man looks at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart.”

So this is what I stop. Well I cannot add something better then what GOD has already spoken.  A word stands out in this thread "silent" which I will be.  I want them to see Jesus... He came to save the world not judge it.. 2 thousand years ago fact part of what they you know 12/120 so forth would ask "who are you"?

:) for me this is old not new.. not yah its ye

The command is to make a right judgement which means making a judgement  based on God's morality not our prejudices and with that in mind if we are called to do jury service involving  a murder case one could well be making a judgement quite legitimately which involves the death penalty.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
