What do you think God would think of a person deciding to get a nose job or "fix" their face somehow?

As our body is indicated to be "The Temple of God", we are to take care of it, some cases by NOT doing something such as alcohol, smoking and drugs OR, take care of it as we can and as God leads us.

DoK, why not take a few moments and finish the other threads you have started. I would be happy to answer your questions, but you seem to be ignoring all the answers given to you.

Everything you are questioning can be resolved if you place your focus on the Lord. Once you start to see things through His eyes, through His word, you wont have these questions eating away at you.

DoK, have you placed your full trust in the Lord? In not, why not? There is peace to be found in Him.

DoK in some cases plasic surgery is necessary for the patient to give them any confidence of living some sort of normal existance.

Please have the courtesy to reply to the answers that people have gone to the trouble to respond to your posts, before asking futher questions.

depends on what the surg is for....

repair of damage doen from an accident, or cause of some one being vain........

The surgery totally depends on the circumstances. If a person is disfigured in an accident or has a birth defect of some sort, than plastic surgery is o.k. If a person is having surgery for vanity reasons and wants to attract attention from other people than it would be a sin. A good example would be breast augmentation that many women are now having. Why are women doing this, they want attention from men. Or they don't feel very confident about themselves so they think the increase in their bust will make them feel better about themselves. This is a sin of vanity and purity. A women might get more attention from a man, but the attention will be negative attention and the men will only look at the women as a piece of meat. I am seeing women fall into this trap more and more and even personally know friends whose daughter that was 18 years old decide to do this. She then became pregnant a year later while dating several men. Do you think having plastic surgery might of played some role in this??? I do and believe that there are consequences for every action.

This is the best advice I've seen you get yet, DoK. It's the absolute truth and is the answer to all of your questions! I promise you, if you take this advice, your life will change in ways you never thought were possible! :) You will see things so much clearer and you'll be filled with a peace and hope that the world only dreams of! (It will make a Gucci handbag seem like something from WalMart!) :)

In the church we came out of, which was small, 4 woman that I knew of had gotten breast enlargments.

That church had became very worldly and there was a very strong undercurrent of sensuality.

The same thing was going on down the road when we visited a different church, they were playing games too.

It's gotten to the place that you have to stay out of a lot of the churches in order NOT to get caught up in the world. If you stay in that kind of environment long you'll get caught up in it.

If you lose sight of God and don't stay very close to Him you can get seduced very easily by this sort of thing.

Americas stronghold is sensuality, vanity, and materalism, if we take our eyes off of God....

      You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

      I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

      For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

      2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices. 

      So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

      Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end. 
      Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house. 

      Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

      Shalom everyone,

      As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

      Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
      Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

      So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
