Is there a time when repentance is not possible? Or is it better stated that ther is a condition of the heart when man is hardened to the point that he no longer desires repentance and it is impossible to influence him.

For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted the heavenly gift, and have become partakers of the Holy Spirit, and have tasted the good word of God and the powers of the age to come, if they fall away, to renew them again to repentance, since they crucify again for themselves the Son of God, and put Him to an open shame.

I think it is really important for churches to realise the importance of exalting and cherishing it's members. People come to Christ because the spirit has led them. Most come in great sorrow and weeping before the Lord, yet not many churches restore them back to God. Instead they spend more time dragging out their sins when new convers should be getting healing, hope, joy and knitted into the fellowship. It's awful :emot-lookaround:

Yes. Even Jesus said there will be a falling away. There can be nothing else but being in Him to fall from.

I beleive repentance is always possible but to be justified of a sin against another person as in rape or murder is whats impossible. to be justified of rapeing someone, how do you justify the persons respect and dignity back to them? or how do you justify someones life that you have taken? the lord will firgive whom he will, but he will not justify someone for a sin or crime that cannot be justified, I;E in order for justice to be fulfilled, one must be able to restore the life you took or restore the dignity of the persom you raped. these things are impossible to do in order to claim justfication. :emot-lookaround:

The work of Jesus on the cross isnt enough? What more does one need then to be in His presence forgiven of sins?

never doubt what the lord can do even though we see this in our natural sences as a lost cause god still can bring these ones back

the reason i am saying this i was one of these people it is a condition of the heart with a lot of other things added as well and if you have been their your self you wil know were the person is at and how to be of assistances in these tuff situations

for me were i hardened my heart and avoided those that new me god persued me to the point were he reminded me of those who i new

i got rid of everything i had even my very two personal bibles and burnt everything i mocked god to his face every day i even swore at god and said if any christian is place in my path and shares how much jesus loves me or gives me a tract to read i will ram the tract down their throat and i wil go out of my way to hurt any one you send in my path this is how far i was gone

in 2001 is when the lord shook me up to the point were i was able to see my sin for what it was and see that i was dealing with a real god if god did not move like he did i would be in jail serving life for murder as i nearly killed a drug dealer

i also know sevral pastors know who are in the very same situation i was in and these men are gifted evangilists but what puzzles me is how these mighty men have fallen from grace one pastor i know who is a very good friend of mine is only know comfterbal were he can sit in a sunday morning service and hear the gospel preached though for 9yrs he avoided church

right now i am praying over another friend who has just fallen in a big way and what hurts me is the person who i new once is no longer their when i talk with my friend i have to put to the side to how i saw him as if i bring up anything he will simply walk away and i wil only hear from him when he rings me and says i want to talk he even hurt his very own wife who had to be deported back to her country as she was in the midle of getting her citazenship aproved

i am not going to blast what he did in cyber space but as a human and as a friend i care for this man and all i can do is hand him over to god and pray for him and his family

for me it was sevral things that pushed me over the edge lack of respect were i cried out for help and finaley said what i was doing in my home i was told i am an evil man and i am to never step foot back into gods house my wife was told to leave me but a lot of this was also my fault i new what i was doing so i could not blame my pastor or god but the hate just grew towards my old pastor and my hate was evident as thos who even new me were scared of me i just lost it to the point were i did not care

you cant say though a person crucifys christ for a second time because jesus says in the book of matthew that they will be forgiven for mocking the son of god but if you mock the holy spirit this will never be forgiven in this life or in the next life

other wise i would not be hear today communicating to you we do this every day if you want to get deep just look at what we ask christ to take of us in church on sunday and you cant tell me what you ask christ to deal with in church with in 15 min you take the very thing back you have asked the lord jesus to deal with in the first place this can also be seen as crucifying him for the second time

i like the verse in hebrews 6 verse 4

4 for it is impossible for those who were enlightened and have tasted the heavenly gift and have become partakers of the holy spirit

some just do not want to accept the hard facts that are right in front of them some find it hard to grasp that a christian can fall like this but god is in control and god knows were the person is at and when he is ready to act he acts though we have to also step back give those we know who have hardened their hearts over to god and focus on what god is doing in our lives

i can only share threw what i have been threw as i ran from god since 1988 it is 2008 and i have not looked back or had the same feeling i use to have

simple rule dont play god dont play church dont point the finger if you come across some one like this as their wil be people this person knows praying for them and god wil be also chassing this person and you wil just make it worse if you play the goat with out using your head

god bless from damo

Is there a time when repentance is not possible? Or is it better stated that ther is a condition of the heart when man is hardened to the point that he no longer desires repentance and it is impossible to influence him.

I believe there are occassions where repentance is not possible such as blasphemy of the Holy Ghost which is an unpardonable sin and also those who have been given over to their lust and have become reprobate as a result these are just a couple to name a few. I think there is defiantly a condition of one's heart will get hardened to the point they no longer desire repentance and no one has any influence on them anymore and that is when one's conscious is seared like a hot iron that's a pretty tough word picture there to have your conscious seared like a hot iron to get to a place where you no longer desire the things of God you have no more conviction of heart and you become unmoveable with the presence of God as your conscious is just like a hot iron unable to get through. This is a dangerous and damning place to find themselves in to have one's conscious seared like a hot iron as no one is able to touch a hot iron as they will get burned showing us that none can influence or is able to touch one conscious once it becomes seared

Hebrews 6:4-6NKJV

Below is some scriptures that I believe in regards to the scriptures you used.

Matthew 12:31, Hebrews 10:26, 2 Peter 2:20, 1 John 5:16, Hebrews 10:32, John 4:10 & 6:32, Ephesians 2:8, Galations 3:2,5, Hebrews 10:25

I think also that it is impossible for many to be saved as their time here on earth is simply up and they die without Christ so when our time is up it is up in whatever state we are in at the time is what state we will be caught in.

Hebrews 6:4-6NKJV

We know from scripture that for some people the answer is obviously yes.

In Revelation the Lord pours plague after plague on people, yet scripture says they still refused to repent of their sins and immorality. Now one could say that they were blinded as many of us were at times in our life indeed dead in trespasses and sins and unable to come to Christ on our own, which is very true; however that seems to not be the case as described in Revelation. These people know it is God who is sending them plagues, and instead of coming to Him they curse Him.

However this should never concern us. The fact is anyone who is loaded down with sin of whatever sort and knows and seeks relief from this sin and salvation at all; even the smallest inkling of guilt and remorse and a feeling of needing something more would be a sign of the Holy Spirit working. The other issue is that we as individual Christians can never know who will hear the Gospel and who will not and when that will or will not happen. Thus our role is to assume that everybody, every single human being has the potential for salvation. It is also comforting to realize that we are not responsible for someone else's salvation, what I mean is that it would be very arrogant of us to believe that we would have that power to be responsible for someone's ability or lack of ability or desire to accept the gift of grace offered by Christ.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
