  1. Americans want to get to the point. This opening chapter should satisfy that. “How does it all play out?” you might ask; this will lay out the whole book in a few pages. The technique here was developed over time; it is a new paradigm in eschatology. The work presented here is substantiated with the rest of the book for a more in-depth study. When we’re looking at diverse linear narratives about the end-times, it’s like a mosaic with individual pictures shuffled around the canvas. By picking specific and unique events, multiple and parallel accounts can be lined up and an overall sequence-of-events can be discerned. It’s a little like this puzzle: In the local beauty contest, all contestants received prizes based on their standing. Jane was not first. Alice came up immediately behind Betty. Carol scored higher than Alice but not Tiffany. Sally lost to Betty but not Jane. No one tied in scoring. Can you discern the correct order the girls ended up? (Answer coming up in an reply.) The problem here is that we have a lot of disjointed information. Each sentence holds only a partial bit of information and not all of it is essential to solve the puzzle. Each sentence acts like an end-time narrative account in that it conveys information, but is not complete; individual sentences omit needed information – they skip key facts we would like to have. The only way to arrive at the correct order is to sift through the whole and piece them together. The Sequence-of-Events Analysis operates in this manner. To assemble a Sequence-of-Events, major linear narratives are assembled in bullet point form, distilling descriptive language to get to the heart of the action: events. Descriptive verses are not unimportant; they fill in necessary voids in understanding. However, they concentrate on detail too much, so that the big picture gets lost. Centering on the action, or events, gives a big picture perspective and end-time prophecy can be assembled as a whole in outline form. Once the overall framework is in place, columns and beams to use and architectural analogy, walls and floors can be filled in, and then such details which distinguish one room from another more naturally find their mark. This aspect of going from big-to-small is how I was trained to rapidly find a deep interdiction target behind enemy lines as a fighter-pilot in the 1980’s. “Popping up,” from our low-altitude ingress, we’d only have 3-5 seconds to acquire and target a building or infrastructure we’d never seen before except through intelligence photos. Knowing the color of the building was not important; knowing its placement in regard to larger geological features was vital to acquiring the correct target. The Bible is written largely as a series of linear narratives; this is the beauty of Hebrew: it is a wonderful language in which to tell a story with its word pictures and double entendre. In the Bible, especially its historical books, events are laid out in linear fashion. Much of prophecy does not share that aspect; Isaiah and Zechariah are two books which present prophecy in a Kaleidoscope fashion. However, there are books and passages in prophecy which do conform to linearity of narrative. These make up the main portion which forms the framework for the Sequence of Events. End-time prophetic books and passages which are set as a linear narrative are as follows: The book of Revelation, which itself is a series of parallel accounts The book of Daniel with its various individual visions The Olivet Discourse in the Synoptic Gospel accounts Paul’s letters to the Thessalonians. This preview will not be able to fully develop all the tools being used in the book; that follows in painstaking detail. Various aspects tools of interpretation such as linearity, specific and unique events, multiple accounts, parallel accounts, gaps, dual focus will be glossed over in this opening section. In addition, some word study, while done in the rest of the book will be largely omitted in this brief synopsis.

  2. James was writing to the 12 Tribes of Israel. His is the earliest writing .... he still lingered in Judaism. It is related to the Book of Hebrews, written to the Hebrews, who were being warned not to remain in Judaism. The Hebrew (Jewish) folk clearly understood that their religion was organized. Religion is organized. It sets forth steps for one to use in accessing a deity and maintaining a relationship with it. Think about those religions that require strict obedience to a formula, and then send one back to square one if there is a misstep. Christianity is just the opposite. It is not organized. There are no steps to diligently follow in becoming a Christian or remaining one. Nothing any of us can do will create a God-based identity. The Holy Spirit calls upon each of us to realize that we are lost; we then are drawn to confessing Jesus as Savior (Romans 10:8-13). We don't decide that we are lost and then decide to confess. It is all of God, none of us. We then can never go back to square one; Jesus paid it all! (Romans 8:1). What are some examples of organized religion? Judaism, and any supposedly Christian body that resorts to "systems" for obtaining and retaining salvation, without ever having responded to the call of the Holy Spirit. "Religiously" following an organizational structure, as in Judaism, is a substitute for the Grace offered by God to that people group in the Abrahamic Covenant, resulting in the Law of Moses; structured living impossible to maintain, then violating and adding, creating more and more structure. Result? Jesus, the restoration of Grace, extended to everyone through Paul. Structure gone; it no longer had a purpose. What is the one and only example for a Christian? Grace. God's Amazing Grace, in response to each individual's confession of Jesus as Savior, the indwelling Holy Spirit leading the way as we follow Him. "Lostness" gone, eternity secured. Sadly, Christian denominations have strayed from pure Grace, teaching as doctrine our human machinations (sometimes complicated, some times simplistic maneuvering to establish a theory). They have injected a works salvation, works in order to gain salvation, works in order to maintain it. Millions of confused and outright misguided seekers and finders of our Christian faith toil in ignorance of God's Amazing Grace, striving to find Him and please Him: exhausting tasks. Religion says, "Depend on structure, rules, regulations, commands, traditions, 'holy' traditions, recalled, restored, organized and delivered by earthly authorities. Be obedient, lest you fall!" Christianity says Jesus is Lord. He is our Savior and Sustainer. Our lost estate vanished with Him......we were crucified with Him. "No more night, no more pain, no more tears, never crying again; praises to the Great I AM, we will live in the Light of the Risen Lamb."

  4. I think that a person can not take it too personal. Maybe the person is not well or is just not happy with them selves. If the post gets too abusive you can always report it to the servers. I think a gentle response is the way to reply. If the person continues to harass you it would be wise to put them on ignore. There is enough grief in our world without having to deal with that.

  6. I think out of the shadows has a point... While there are people who do set out to push buttons, and they get personal, they are few, and the servants have done a good job of moderating them and banning them from threads, and what not. A lot of people in here do get mad when you call them out and ask for evidence. Many, cannot handle anyone disagreeing with them at all. Some cases, people are pushing others buttons without realizing it, and some people just need to learn to put a helmet on. There a million and 1 reasons people get ticked off, and often there's more then enough blame to go around. The Christian way to deal with it, isn't to stand around and gossip and say "why do people do this" the christian thing to do is go to the person who you have a problem with, and attempt to work it out with them, preferably in private. If that doesn't work get the servants involved. I garentee that if more people took their issues up with the people they had issues with, we would have fewer hurt feelings and no need for woe is me posts like this. Matthew 18:15 would make some excellent reading material for everyone here, including myself.

  7. You know. You can just walk away from it if it becomes too upsetting. When you don't really know someone on a personal level, it is hard to know what it is that is going to get someone's button pushed. A while back I pick an emoti that I thought it was just cute and funny. But someone on her got all offended and mad because unknown to me at the time, the emoti that I picked to this person meant stupid. Therefor they took it to mean that I was calling them stupid. And even though I try to explain that is was a mistake on my part for not knowing what the emoti meant. They still would not let it go. So I think it is best not to take things on here personal. And know when to just let it go.

  9. I'm back! It's been a few years, lots of things have happened that I will have to write about later. I was just googling how to deal with ex husband who's an atheist and the funny thing is my old post on this forum from 2012 popped up at near the top! So ya, Im dealing with all that again. He was fine for a while, but sent me a text today about he doesn't want me brainwashing them anymore and how he made them cry. I prayed a lot about it and I think I know what I will say. He wants to come over tomorrow and have a "discussion" which Im sure is code for attack and retreat. We will just tell him we will not stop teaching the Truth. I pray the Holy Spirit leads me to listen and talk and gives me the words to say. I have to go, but lots to tell later

  13. I need to make clear what I meant when I said some people have religion and not God. There are some people who can and do follow the rules lay before them by their pastors and their church. They attend church, say Amen when their suppose too, wear the right clothes, have the right hair cut, and they may even know Bible verses by heart. But they have no real relationship with Christ. They have no love for people around them. They bad mouth people and try to make themselves look righteous before others. You get the ideal. That was what I was meaning when I said some have religion and not God.

  15. Hi Oliver, Old things pass away and behold all things become new. You said your "trying" to find an answer and to turn your life around. I would suggest you stop trying and just "Be still and know that He is God" God knows everything, there is nothing hidden from Him. You are driving yourself mad as you put it trying to figure out everything for yourself. That is not the way. The Holy Spirit speaks is a still small voice and it is you that has to slow down enough to listen. When you are in the state you are in now your anxious soul drowns out His voice and you cannot yield to His will. His plan is so much better then what you can come up with. Stop, slow down and just rest in His perfect peace. It will all come together in His Time and always for your good. Keep your eye on the prize. Blessings, RustyAngeL

  16. Why should those benefits be tied to a religious sacrament? What does filing your taxes jointly have to do with religion?
    1 point
  17. The marriage tax penalty as it is called affects less than 5% of the households in this country and can be avoided. The ability to file jointly on the other hand could help just about everyone else. Outside of that there are IRA benefits, SS benefits, inheritance benefits, legal decision making, visitation benefits, and more all assigned to marriage in our country.

  18. Hi Brakelite Please consider these scriptures Zechariah 14:16 And it shall come to pass, that every one that is left of all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall even go up from year to year to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, and to keep the feast of tabernacles. Zechariah 14:17 And it shall be, that whoso will not come up of all the families of the earth unto Jerusalem to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, even upon them shall be no rain. Zechariah 14:18 And if the family of Egypt go not up, and come not, that have no rain; there shall be the plague, wherewith the LORD will smite the heathen that come not up to keep the feast of tabernacles. Zechariah 14:19 This shall be the punishment of Egypt, and the punishment of all nations that come not up to keep the feast of tabernacles. Joel 3:16 The LORD also shall roar out of Zion, and utter his voice from Jerusalem; and the heavens and the earth shall shake: but the LORD will be the hope of his people, and the strength of the children of Israel. Joel 3:17 So shall ye know that I am the LORD your God dwelling in Zion, my holy mountain: then shall Jerusalem be holy, and there shall no strangers pass through her any more. Joel 3:18 And it shall come to pass in that day, that the mountains shall drop down new wine, and the hills shall flow with milk, and all the rivers of Judah shall flow with waters, and a fountain shall come forth of the house of the LORD, and shall water the valley of Shittim. Joel 3:19 Egypt shall be a desolation, and Edom shall be a desolate wilderness, for the violence against the children of Judah, because they have shed innocent blood in their land. Joel 3:20 But Judah shall dwell for ever, and Jerusalem from generation to generation. Jerusalem will continue for 10 generations. 1 generation will = 100yrs (during the millennium), because men will live for a hundred years. Isaiah 65:20 There shall be no more thence an infant of days, nor an old man that hath not filled his days: for the child shall die an hundred years old; but the sinner being an hundred years old shall be accursed. 10 generations = 1000 yrs. Joel 3:21 For I will cleanse their blood that I have not cleansed: for the LORD dwelleth in Zion.

Johnson raised 2.3 million dollars during the last election and spent ... 13,000 while racking up 225,000 in debt. Two million went to a single company of "advisors" who coincidentally are in the same building as his tax deductible political action group.

  23. Only Donald Trump has declared bankruptcy 4 times, costing investors, creditors, vendors and employees over 1 billion dollars in loss. Only Donald Trump is being sued for unethical business practices in multiple states. Only Donald Trump has more than 50 pending civil suits against him. Only Donald Trump has been the defendant in more than 1500 law suits. Only Donald Trump has a history of discriminatory practices in his business. Only Donald Trump refuses to release his income tax records. Only Donald Trump is on his third marriage and is guilty of adultery. Only Donald Trump has employed illegal immigrants on his properties. And that is just a list I came up with in 5 minutes off the top of my head, I dont have the benefit of some overly biased website to copy and paste from. 31. Blessings All I dunno, perhaps I am just so very Blessed to see the glass half full more often than not & I don't think I look through rose colored glasses......I have said it many times & I stand by what I've said because of my everyday interaction with people in America,God is pouring out His Spirit like never before! Halleluyah! Maybe the area of South Florida that I live in is just a very large Christian community so I cannot speak for the whole of this Country....However,as Butero mentioned how there is so much obvious hostility towards Christians & the times are certainly much different than when we grew up...to me this simply confirms how busy Holy Spirit is drawing men unto Jesus, the enemy is livid,he is doing everything & anything he can to shut us Christians up & silence the Word of God......NOT GONNA HAPPEN_LOL,not as long as I have a pulse!!! The other day my husband & pulled into a McDonalds which is in a really bad part of the town,I had a doc appt near there.....many homeless, crack addicts, alcoholics & some pretty shady characters out in the streets.....as we got out of the car 3 fellows approached us & asked if we had just 16 cents,I said " sure thing" & that is always my opening to pass out Bibles, spread the Gospel & minister to who God has me to minister to......Bingo,Glory to God,the 3 guys where thrilled to get Bibles and they were starving for the Love of Christ....these men were homeless,,looking for the next "high",stinking of alcohol & the sweetest little lost sheep you ever want to meet,,,,,Mike & I were ministering to them openly in the parking lot, others drew near asking for Bibles & asking to hear Gods Word.....funny thing is they forgot all about the sixteen cents, booze was the furthest thing from their minds & before you knew it some of them were sitting on the ground reading the bible to one another...........this is not unusual,I see this all the time & I just love the "streets"....Holy Spirit is truly busy in America ....I am so thankful & grateful to God that His sheep hear His Voice,America is a big pasture ....... Anyway,as I say....don't listen to the "evil reports",get out there & boast for Christ ,make a difference....I understand there are no more Bibles in hotel drawers, there is no more prayer followed by the pledge allegience in the classrooms at the start of the day, employers want you to be "politically correct" & say "Happy Holidays" instead of merry Christmas & so on & so on .....and?Bring it all back!!! We can if enough of us would get out there & get busy......This great Nation is still a free Country & still at the very least a predominantly Theist Nation if not Christian.....Praise,Glory,Honor & Thanksgiving to God Almighty With love-in Christ,Kwik

  32. well, theyre right, you have been venting about people in church online. frequently. and not just on one sight, but several-you copy and paste your complaints to pretty much every christian forums board (and a few not christian) that you can find, and ignore any and all advice given to you, this is what the Bible calls "gossip" and its a sin. You were not seeking advice, you were willingly gossiping about the people in your church all over the internet, instead of dealing with the matter in a Christlike manner, and if you were caught, the church had every right to throw you out, regardless of who made the original transgression-2 wrongs do not make a right. If you are living at home, regardless of how old you are, you are under your parents authority, which means going out and buying a new phone and tablet to bypass their rules, just to gossip about them online (what got you in trouble in the first place) is dishonering your parents-and again a sin. You need to either move out-or go to your parents and your church-and apologize for your actions, and get right with God. Proverbs 16:28 A perverse man spreads strife, And a slanderer separates intimate friends Exodus 20:12 "Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be prolonged in the land which the LORD your God gives you.

  33. Since we don't know your true age I can respond as the other in two ways. "adult" means more than just being of a rightful age. It sounds as though your parents feel you are not responsible let at this time to allow you rights or access to the Internet. Without information we won't be able to make better insight on your matter. Basically, if you merely wanted to come on Worthy boards to vent and you communicated tgat with your parents then you are within your rights. Tomorrow will be a whole new day in an new light. You're not the only one steaming right now. Have your priorities in order first, communicate as much as you can with parents, co-workers, bossed, and God. And watch your life flourish and blossom. Fight city hall and all access will be closed... Try this. Try love, understanding and compassion. As long as you are under your parents roof they have to be responsible for any negative actions or problems you may incur or cause. Can you be sued at your present age, if no then that means your parents will be sued if all is not handled in accordance with all laws. God bless and prayers coming your way.

  35. Daniel 9:27 Another major, prophetic, linear narrative which should be foundational for anyone's eschatology is Daniel 9:26-27. Looking only at the second verse for the moment is the one ‘seven’ which has yet to be fulfilled (despite some eschatological schools’ opinions to the contrary). 27 He will confirm a covenant with many for one 'seven.' In the middle of the 'seven' he will put an end to sacrifice and offering. And at the temple he will set up an abomination that causes desolation, until the end that is decreed is poured out on him." The word “confirm” comes to us from the King James, and translators for 400 years have stuck with an obsolete meaning; “confirm” has too much positive connotation to accurately portray how the Hebrew word, “gabar” is being used. While as a verb, gabar simply means “to prevail,” but as stated, “forced” best fits the action. The inflected verb is in the third person so it includes a pronoun and that reverts, according to Hebrew grammar, to the last person mentioned: in this case, the “ruler who will come.” Likewise, in the second sentence up to the prepositional phrase “…until the end…” the original Hebrew is extremely difficult reading literally: “on wing – abominations – desolation.” The reader should understand that all the other words (thirteen in this case versus four in the Hebrew) are added in translation. This difficult passage reminds me of another passage in Daniel where God writes: “MENE, MENE, TEKEL, PARSIN.” These simple words were undecipherable by the wisest of Belshazzar’s advisers. Widely accepted as “abomination of desolation,” the word “kanap,” “wing,” has led to various interpretations. The NIV here concludes it is in the Temple, but that blends the Olivet Discourse’s reference to the Holy Place with Paul’s 2nd Thessalonians’ chapter 2. In an earlier edition, the NIV stated the abomination was placed in a “wing” of the Temple, but the Temple doesn’t have “wings” like the White House. Both editions of the NIV lose the meaning of “wing.” The King James uses the word figuratively, which is allowed in the picture language of Hebrew: “overshadowing.” “Wings” have multiple figurative meanings, like “power” as well. I prefer yet another figurative use for wing which matches another Daniel account about what I think is the same timeframe in Daniel 11:45-12:1 where the King of the North rushes out like a flood, i.e.: “quickly.” Blending in Daniel 11:45, which matches Luke 21:20 for a moment, the King of the North encamps around Jerusalem with his army. This means that during a time of “peace,” he has invaded the Holy Land. Rather than an overshadowing of abominations, this midpoint development happens rapidly when overwhelming force literally floods the land and brings the ruler who will come to the apex of his meteoric rise: being crowned as a god in the Temple and presented with a talking image of himself. The breakdown of Daniel 9:27 then centers around three actions covered within it: Covenant with many prevailed by the (Roman) ruler who will come. Midpoint Abomination End of one ‘seven’ with desolations poured out on the desolator. Now, between the Olivet Discourse and Daniel, the easy match, provided by Jesus and referencing Daniel, is the midpoint abomination. Since the Great Tribulation is shortened, (literally, amputated in the Greek as in to “dock” an animal’s tail) it's fairly easy to see that the Sun/moon/star event comes well before the end, since lengthening the Great Tribulation to the rest of the one ‘seven’ begs the question as to how Christians could live without substance while being literally hunted down; and so, I'll sequence it that way. Covenant with many prevailed by the Roman ruler who will come. Midpoint Abomination Great Tribulation Sun/moon/star event. Sign of the Son of Man The Son of Man coming on the clouds Gathering Elect from the clouds End of one seven with desolations poured out on the Roman desolator. Let's include Luke's take in chapter 21. He has a slightly different sequence: Armies surround Jerusalem Great Tribulation Signs in the Sun, moon, and stars Stand up: Redemption Between the middle two events, we have some different descriptions. As the anti-Christ has to arrive at Jerusalem before being presented with the talking image of himself in the Temple, the armies surrounding Jerusalem is on the eve of the midpoint abomination. This would align the Ezekiel invasion of Israel to this movement of troops, i.e., the anti-Christ is the one who breaks the peace treaty he forced upon Israel. By dismantling her defenses (because she used a nuke?) he was finally able to conquer this thorn in his side... The “stand up” / Redemption is the Gathering of the Elect. So putting the lists together brings: Covenant with many prevailed by the Roman ruler who will come Armies surround Jerusalem Midpoint Abomination Great Tribulation Sun/moon/star event Sign of the Son of Man The Son of Man coming on the clouds Redemption / Gathering Elect from the clouds End of one seven with desolations poured out on the Roman desolator Now to work up to Revelations' parallel accounts.

  36. The days of the Great Tribulation. How long could you last without being able to buy food while all the while they're hunting you down? The second half of the one 'seven' runs its full course. Most of it contains the Wrath of God, which, according to Revelation 14:17-20, comes right after the Harvest of Rev 14:14-16; and to which the Harvest marries with Mt 24:30-31. The Wrath of God is omitted from the Olivet Discourse; that does not mean it isn't there. Perhaps Jesus excludes it because it does not pertain to us.

  38. This first breakdown of the Olivet Discourse, which is my keystone passage for eschatology, demonstrates the manner in which I distill the Word into basic, action components which describe events. This BIG to small approach is how I was trained to find point targets in a limited time in a high-speed environment. The events are the big points. It is important in building a structure to first focus on the basic support system, The foundation for my eschatology is a literal approach. Then, the big events act as pillars and beams which support the roof. After that, then floors, walls, and ceilings can be installed; accompanying New and Old Testament prophecies will fit in place. Finally, we have all the fine details that make a building a home, such as furniture, pictures, and what not - the descriptive details we first leave out. When I can find a specific and unique event, like the Midpoint abomination - then I can weld one linear narrative to another around that common point. That I will do next, after I get some painting in, and give time to folk to digest what I'm starting here.

  39. The Olivet Discourse The keystone for the Sequence of Events is Jesus’ prophetic Olivet Discourse. This passage is the fifth major discourse of the book of Matthew as it is constructed. This discourse also follows parallel construction with a broad overview beginning with Jesus’ answer to the disciple’s question at Mt 24:4 leading to the “end” at verse 14. A detailed parallel account follows which gets to the same “end,” namely the gathering of the Elect. The detailed parallel portion of the Olivet Discourse, covering the final end of the Church Age, reveals five specific and unique events which are the bridge between the one ‘seven’ of the book of Daniel and the chronology of the Seals/Trumpets in the book of Revelation. Mt 24:15 "So when you see standing in the holy place 'the abomination that causes desolation,' spoken of through the prophet Daniel—let the reader understand— 16 then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains. 17 Let no one on the housetop go down to take anything out of the house. 18 Let no one in the field go back to get their cloak. 19 How dreadful it will be in those days for pregnant women and nursing mothers! 20 Pray that your flight will not take place in winter or on the Sabbath. 21 For then there will be great distress, unequaled from the beginning of the world until now—and never to be equaled again. 22 "If those days had not been cut short, no one would survive, but for the sake of the elect those days will be shortened. 23 At that time if anyone says to you, 'Look, here is the Messiah!' or, 'There he is!' do not believe it. 24 For false messiahs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect. 25 See, I have told you ahead of time. 26 "So if anyone tells you, 'There he is, out in the wilderness,' do not go out; or, 'Here he is, in the inner rooms,' do not believe it. 27 For as lightning that comes from the east is visible even in the west, so will be the coming of the Son of Man. 28 Wherever there is a carcass, there the vultures will gather. 29 "Immediately after the distress of those days " 'the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars will fall from the sky, and the heavenly bodies will be shaken.' 30 "Then will appear the sign of the Son of Man in heaven. And then all the peoples of the earth will mourn when they see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven, with power and great glory. 31 And he will send his angels with a loud trumpet call, and they will gather his elect from the four winds, from one end of the heavens to the other. (NIV) Analysis from a sequence of events point of view: v. 15 – abomination (of) desolation standing in the Holy Place. v. 16 – prayer for those in Judea (future Remnant) v. 17 – warning to those in Judea v. 18 – warning to those in Judea v. 19 – descriptive v. 20 – warning prayer for those in Judea v. 21 – “unequaled” great tribulation v. 22 – it is shortened for the sake of the Elect v. 23 – warning to the Elect v. 24 – warning to the Elect v. 25 – declaration of prophetic truth v. 26 – warning to the Elect v. 27 – description of Jesus’ parousia (Greek for “coming”) v. 28 – cryptic message (dealing with the nature of the Rapture) v. 29 – immediately after great tribulation – (sequencing) – sun/moon/star event v. 30 – sign of Son of Man – Son of Man coming on the clouds v. 31 – gathering of the Elect from the earth. Dealing only with events; descriptive verses, simple declarations, various warnings and prayers are dropped. This distills the passage down to the actions which will happen. Taking just the simplest elements does not eliminate some of the other aspects… it’s just that they are not germane to the main plot in constructing the basic framework for a singular chronology. However, some important elements can later be woven into the sequence of events to cover some of the side issues which are present in the end-times, like concerning “those in Judea.” The order of events as Jesus listed the main ones are: v. 15 Midpoint Abomination, which adds: standing in the “Holy Place” v. 21 Great Tribulation, which is shortened by the: v. 29 Sun/moon/star event, which heralds the Day of the Lord v. 30 Sign of the Son of Man v. 30 The Son of Man coming on the clouds v. 31 Gathering Elect from the clouds This linear narrative has five, important, specific and unique events in their proscribed order with the added benefit of having joining time stamps in two of them. This passage is the Keystone Passage for the Sequence of Events because it allows the harmonization of Daniel’s one ‘seven’ to the broad overview of the end-times in Revelation with the Seal/Scroll chronology. The aspects of those in Judea fleeing, the bit of cryptic information about carcasses, and even the sign of the Son of Man are important and have a place in the final analysis, however, for simplicity’s sake this list boils down the Olivet Discourse’s detailed portion to its essential elements which are not only specific and unique, but are repeated in the Bible in other linear narratives. This makes the Olivet Discourse the Keystone Passage because it has five crucial, specific and unique events culminating in the Rapture of the Church – which is everyone’s key interest. What is interesting is that Jesus adds crucial information as well about the midpoint abomination which marries with another linear narrative in Paul’s second letter to the Thessalonians. Because of the details in each; there is a perfect match. Likewise, Jesus gives two important time elements: first the Great Tribulation is shortened, and immediately after it comes the sun/moon/star event.
