  1. Amen brother. I personally will never read Calvin or Augustine. Luther’s work on Galatians is maybe the best I ever read, but I have read of his misguided teachings against the Jews. Very tragic. If he was truly saved(which I believe to be true) he is going to have a lot of wood, hay and stubble to be burnt up before the judgement seat of Christ. 1Co 3:10 By the grace God has given me, I laid a foundation as a wise builder, and someone else is building on it. But each one should build with care. 1Co 3:11 For no one can lay any foundation other than the one already laid, which is Jesus Christ. 1Co 3:12 If anyone builds on this foundation using gold, silver, costly stones, wood, hay or straw, 1Co 3:13 their work will be shown for what it is, because the Day will bring it to light. It will be revealed with fire, and the fire will test the quality of each person's work. 1Co 3:14 If what has been built survives, the builder will receive a reward. 1Co 3:15 If it is burned up, the builder will suffer loss but yet will be saved—even though only as one escaping through the flames. May God have mercy on us all as we teach and admonish each other. We had better be very careful what we do and say. I know he is regretting ever teaching such hateful filth at this point.
  2. Ok brother you are creating an argument for no reason. I never once said our Lord built his Church on Peter. Further more the Church I’m speaking of are all those who are baptized in one body by the Holy Spirit, not some local Church. The true Church is built upon the death, burial and resurrection of the Christ. We all as living stones growing into a strong temple of the Lord. Eph 2:19 Consequently, you are no longer foreigners and strangers, but fellow citizens with God's people and also members of his household, Eph 2:20 built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus himself as the chief cornerstone. Eph 2:21 In him the whole building is joined together and rises to become a holy temple in the Lord. I’m not talking about church pews, brother. Further more I gave the fundamental doctrines I was talking about. Virgin birth, the precious blood atonement, the humanity and deity of Christ, etc. I posted Peter’s own racism because you interjected Luther and Calvin as if no one opposed them. The true Church will never fail, the local church is headed to apostasy. I’m not a catholic and I do not believe in popes.
  3. You are talking about the visible church, and certain men. I am talking about the true church(invisible) consisting of all born again believers who call on God everywhere. Every ‘theologian’ did not rant against the Jews. Luther and Calvin had questionable doctrines in many more areas than antisemitism. Fortunately God had more than just those two in his Church as ‘theologians’. Why not blame the Crusades on the true Church as well? Again, I’m not one who believes old saints are any better than saints of today like many of our brothers and sisters. If that’s the case men like Hymenaeus and Philetus would be considered greats of the faith if they were alive today, even though they taught great error. God still had his saints who defended real truth in every era. You are talking about things that come naturally in man. Remember Peter separated himself from the believing Gentiles and Paul called him out on it? Gal 2:11 When Cephas came to Antioch, I opposed him to his face, because he stood condemned. Gal 2:12 For before certain men came from James, he used to eat with the Gentiles. But when they arrived, he began to draw back and separate himself from the Gentiles because he was afraid of those who belonged to the circumcision group. Gal 2:13 The other Jews joined him in his hypocrisy, so that by their hypocrisy even Barnabas was led astray. Gal 2:14 When I saw that they were not acting in line with the truth of the gospel, I said to Cephas in front of them all, "You are a Jew, yet you live like a Gentile and not like a Jew. How is it, then, that you force Gentiles to follow Jewish customs? You see how the truth is alway defended? Even Peter was called out and corrected for showing partiality and racism Church history is not the Church I am referring to. Mat 16:18 And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it.
  4. I think you nailed it. If someone pops up with doctrine that the Church(all born again believers from the apostles until now) does not recognize, then it is heresy. The church through the power of the Holy Spirit has defended and guarded the truth throughout history. 1Ti 3:15 if I am delayed, you will know how people ought to conduct themselves in God's household, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and foundation of the truth. We are all growing together as one unit or body. No such thing as new doctrine that no one in God’s church does not know about. Eph 4:13 until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ. Eph 4:14 Then we will no longer be infants, tossed back and forth by the waves, and blown here and there by every wind of teaching and by the cunning and craftiness of people in their deceitful scheming. We may bicker over certain non essentials, but will all come together like the 300 Spartans with sword and shield in hand when it comes to those essential truths of our faith. 1Jn 2:20 But you have an anointing from the Holy One, and all of you know the truth. 1Jn 2:21 I do not write to you because you do not know the truth, but because you do know it and because no lie comes from the truth. When it concerns the essentials I truly believe we who are born again have an innate knowledge of the truth. We can grow in the knowledge of those truths through further study, but I believe the Holy Spirit blesses us all with fundamental truth. Humanity of Christ, Deity of Christ, virgin birth, blood atonement of Christ, bodily resurrection of Christ, etc.
  5. You are correct in understanding anywhere God resides is Holy. We are called saints or Holy Ones. These things still have nothing to do with us. How many of us can match up with apostle Paul when it comes to doing good? Yet he claimed to be the chief of sinners. 1Ti 1:15 Here is a trustworthy saying that deserves full acceptance: Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners—of whom I am the worst. Of course he was not still leading a life of sin. It is the emptying of self and replacing it with the only true good of the righteous one, the Lord Jesus Christ. Our Lord Jesus is very God, equal with the Father, yet he humbled himself. He laid aside his majesty and made himself a servant. Php 2:5 In your relationships with one another, have the same mindset as Christ Jesus: Php 2:6 Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage; Php 2:7 rather, he made himself nothing by taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness. We still have sin. We are not good, God is good and has by grace blessed us to be his children. Never in a million years should we boast about being good. All our boasting is in Christ. 1Jn 1:8 If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. 1Jn 1:10 If we claim we have not sinned, we make him out to be a liar and his word is not in us. 1Co 1:30 It is because of him that you are in Christ Jesus, who has become for us wisdom from God—that is, our righteousness, holiness and redemption. 1Co 1:31 Therefore, as it is written: "Let the one who boasts boast in the Lord."
  6. I know this is old, but I’ll reply to this by saying homosexuality hurts the entire human race. If left up to them the human race would be extinct within a few generations. They themselves have to fall back on God’s way of reproduction to survive. Make and female, whether artificial or sleeping with a man to get pregnant (a method prevalent in the gay community where a gay man impregnates a lesbian woman. Their ‘love’ naturally leads to death and destruction. God’s way and love leads to life.
  7. 1Corinthian chapter 13 always reminds me of how far off the mark I am when it comes to truly loving my fellow man. My prayer is Lord please grant me to love like that. A genuine non phony love. 1Co 13:2 If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing.
  8. Amen. Absolutely no compromise. Gal 4:29 At that time the son born according to the flesh persecuted the son born by the power of the Spirit. It is the same now. Gal 4:30 But what does Scripture say? "Get rid of the slave woman and her son, for the slave woman's son will never share in the inheritance with the free woman's son." Gal 4:31 Therefore, brothers and sisters, we are not children of the slave woman, but of the free woman. Our lives are governed by the Spirit, not the old letter which condemned us and placed a debt on our heads. We are complete in Christ, we have Christ himself and no longer need shadows and types. Ceremonial, dietary, day observances are all fulfilled in Christ. Col 2:16 Therefore do not let anyone judge you by what you eat or drink, or with regard to a religious festival, a New Moon celebration or a Sabbath day. Col 2:9 For in Christ all the fullness of the Deity lives in bodily form, Col 2:10 and in Christ you have been brought to fullness. He is the head over every power and authority.
  9. No. I don’t think I have any real goodness in and of myself. In Christ and by his grace and power I am privileged to do good and be good. Gal 2:20 I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. Eph 2:10 For we are God's handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.
  10. @Tzephanyahu Paul was actually criticizing Judaisers when he said he kept the Law blameless. He was basically saying they trusted in their own righteousness, but he could boast more. Php 3:4 though I myself have reasons for such confidence. If someone else thinks they have reasons to put confidence in the flesh, I have more: He was not validating Law, he was saying he could be more confident than those “dogs” and “mutilators of the flesh”(his words)when it comes to trusting in the flesh. He summarized it all up by counting that old life under law worthless. Php 3:7 But whatever were gains to me I now consider loss for the sake of Christ. Php 3:8 What is more, I consider everything a loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things. I consider them garbage, that I may gain Christ Php 3:9 and be found in him, not having a righteousness of my own that comes from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ—the righteousness that comes from God on the basis of faith. You cannot keep the Law as it is a curse to us. Gal 3:10 For all who rely on the works of the law are under a curse, as it is written: "Cursed is everyone who does not continue to do everything written in the Book of the Law." If you offend in one point you are guilty of all. Jas 2:10 For whoever keeps the whole law and yet stumbles at just one point is guilty of breaking all of it. The Law is not of faith which is the requirement of God to be righteous Gal 3:11 Clearly no one who relies on the law is justified before God, because "the righteous will live by faith." Gal 3:12 The law is not based on faith; on the contrary, it says, "The person who does these things will live by them."
  11. I agree, I love going back and reading old time ministers like C.H. Mackintosh, John Darby, and mostly all of the Plymouth Brethren.
  12. You are right for the most part, warrior, but God will not break his promise to national Israel. He is still going to restore them. The believing remnant of Jews today are apart of the new humanity which is the Church, where there is neither Jew or Gentile. Col 3:11 Here there is no Gentile or Jew, circumcised or uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave or free, but Christ is all, and is in all. But because he blinded the Jews for a season, God himself will restore Israel after the fullness of the Gentiles come to salvation. Rom 11:25 I do not want you to be ignorant of this mystery, brothers and sisters, so that you may not be conceited: Israel has experienced a hardening in part until the full number of the Gentiles has come in, Rom 11:26 and in this way all Israel will be saved. As it is written: "The deliverer will come from Zion; he will turn godlessness away from Jacob. Israel at that time is going to see our Lord’s wounds and weep and repent. Zec 13:6 And one shall say unto him, What are these wounds in thine hands? Then he shall answer, Those with which I was wounded in the house of my friends. Bless the Lord Jesus Christ forever! Our God is faithful and wise!
  13. Actually hating a brother , withholding giving to a brother or sister in need is considered as murder. Not shooting non living pixels.
  14. Brother John, what exactly have you killed? Some pixels? You surely have not killed a real human. If you cannot separate fantasy from reality then I can agree that you should not play violent video games. To say it’s a sin to kill a pixelated image is a bit much.
  15. That is correct. In context if Christ says I don’t know you, or I never knew you, it means just. That person has had no relationship with him.
  16. The Bridegroom said Truly or Amen, “I don’t know you”. So we know the five foolish could not be genuine. Mat 25:12 "But he replied, 'Truly I tell you, I don't know you.' I believe the message being delivered is not to wait too late. Do not harden your heart because Christ could come at anytime. Mat 25:9 "'No,' they replied, 'there may not be enough for both us and you. Instead, go to those who sell oil and buy some for yourselves.' Isa 55:1 "Come, all you who are thirsty, come to the waters; and you who have no money, come, buy and eat! Come, buy wine and milk without money and without cost. Isa 55:6 Seek the LORD while he may be found; call on him while he is near. I think that is the thought behind the parable. Christianity is full of wheat and tares, sheep and goats. The true and the false.
  17. Coming out publicly is all in satans plan. His whole mission is to discredit Christianity to the world. He loves to mock God’s truth. What better way than to show what seem to be good Christian men renounce their faith and support sinful lifestyles. 1Ti 4:1 The Spirit clearly says that in later times some will abandon the faith and follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons. We have to keep our hands to the plow, and keep standing for Jesus. As my old mentor used to say, “we must continue to hold up the blood stained banner”.
  18. Sister I know it sounds cliche, but pray. Give it all to God. Prayer is our greatest resource. Our Father said bring all your anxiety and pain to him. This pain is opportunity to trust God. I do not know the hurt and pain that women go through so I want to be careful what I say. Praying for you and your mom. God bless. 1Pe 5:7 God cares for you, so turn all your worries over to him. Php 4:6 Don't worry about anything, but pray about everything. With thankful hearts offer up your prayers and requests to God. Psa 62:8 Trust in him at all times, you people; pour out your hearts to him, for God is our refuge.
  19. He definitely was not born again. All who are born again will overcome. 1Jn 5:4 for everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith. He may have been a professor but genuine believers keep pressing. Heb 10:39 But we do not belong to those who shrink back and are destroyed, but to those who have faith and are saved. I guarantee you could talk to him for 5 minutes and find out where his true beliefs are. Jehovah’s Witnesses claim they believe, but we know they do not truly believe according to truth. All we can do at this point is pray for the brother.
  20. Adding additional transgressions to the Laws of God. Also loosening God’s laws to limit their own guilt. Examples, it’s a sin not to wash your hands before eating or you can put your wife away for just about anything.
  21. You may not be a Calvinist, but that is pretty much apart of their doctrine. Scripture is clear that Christ tasted death for every man. 1Jn 2:2 He is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only for ours but also for the sins of the whole world. 1Ti 2:1 I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people— 1Ti 2:2 for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. 1Ti 2:3 This is good, and pleases God our Savior, 1Ti 2:4 who wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth. If you are human, and you are a sinner, Christ died for you. Heb 2:9 But we do see Jesus, who was made lower than the angels for a little while, now crowned with glory and honor because he suffered death, so that by the grace of God he might taste death for everyone. 1Ti 1:15 Here is a trustworthy saying that deserves full acceptance: Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners—of whom I am the worst. This is why men will be justly condemned, because they did not believe, they refused God’s love, and attempt to make him a liar. 2Th 2:10 and all the ways that wickedness deceives those who are perishing. They perish because they refused to love the truth and so be saved. It is true that our Lord’s sacrifice is specially for us and to us, but it was for everyone. Limited atonement is false doctrine. 1Ti 4:10 For therefore we both labour and suffer reproach, because we trust in the living God, who is the Saviour of all men, specially of those that believe.
  22. Lol BB you actually went to see that? My biggest pet peeve is watching movies that depict Christ. I simply will not do it. Years ago I watched the very well done Jesus of Nazareth movie. The guy should have gotten Oscar for how well he played Jesus. Then I saw that same guy depicted as a magician in another movie, and it ruined my mental depiction of our Lord. Even now when I pray this guys face is in my mind. Never again will I watch a movie with an image of our Lord. Lol
  23. Sounding a bit Phariseeish dear brother. Our Lord ate dinner with active prostitutes and sinners. Hollywood is sick with sin is it not? That is who Christ came for. Being professional fruit inspectors is mainly for false teachers. Some of those people who don’t live up to your own personal standards as Christians are going to be standing right there in glory with you. Luk 18:10 "Two men went up to the temple to pray, one a Pharisee and the other a tax collector. Luk 18:11 The Pharisee stood by himself and prayed: 'God, I thank you that I am not like other people—robbers, evildoers, adulterers—or even like this tax collector. Luk 18:12 I fast twice a week and give a tenth of all I get.' Luk 18:13 "But the tax collector stood at a distance. He would not even look up to heaven, but beat his breast and said, 'God, have mercy on me, a sinner.' Instead of saying Hollywood Christians who profess Jesus like you do are fake, why not exercise your right as a king and priest to God and lift them up in prayer that God may set them in order. You seem to do everything that pleases God, he said he will answer any prayer you make.
  24. I don’t think so, but we can do our part. Our first and foremost mission is to get them the Gospel. We will never eradicate poverty on this side of glory. Our Lord said we will always have the poor among us. Peter told one gentleman I don’t have any money to give you. Act 3:6 Then Peter said, "Silver or gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, walk." Mar 14:7 The poor you will always have with you, and you can help them any time you want. But you will not always have me.
