  1. Hi Virginia, First of all, welcome to Worthy Ministries. From what I'm gathering in your message, it sounds like you'd rather cut ties with your father. Of course, it's good to honor him as it says to by scripture, but he's not really an active father, and only seems interested in converting you to Islam. Sorry this has become such a burden for you. If the calls are that annoying, perhaps avoid picking them up every time. Maybe a text back here and there will suffice. Your father will get the message eventually, that you truly aren't interested in being a Muslim. There's no indication of how old you are, or if the life you have now is independent of having parental figures on a constant basis. So, any advice given is speculating how things really are for you. I'm praying for this situation, and all the best in Christ. God bless you. Shalom, David/BeauJangles
  2. Interesting question, snugpug. I always had a frame of mind, that happiness was a general sense of contentment, and well-being in our place with the Lord. Joy on the other hand, was something of like an elated feeling one can get, such as worship and praise. And joyful feelings in general, can come and go at times, not being a continual state of emotion. However, when glancing through a brief biblical commentary, it said the opposite was true. Oh well. There goes my train of thought! God bless you for bringing up the topic. Shalom, David/BeauJangles Nehemiah 8:10 KJV Then he said unto them, go thy way, eat the fat, and drink the sweet, and send portions unto them for whom nothing is prepared: for this day is holy unto our Lord: neither by ye sorry; for the joy of the Lord is your strength.
  3. Hi, Wayne. Could you be describing what has been called: The Millennial Reign? God bless. Shalom, David/BeauJangles
  4. And making special mention, to Neighbor's truck and auto selections, also other one's nature, and Americana pics are very meaningful as well. Really great job, all! Thanks for taking the time to share. If only I still had my scanner, a few from my collection might be pleasing enough t0 post. Oh well. It's gone, never to be returned. However, again thanks. God bless! Shalom, David/BeauJangles
  5. Of course He will, Emily. The fact of your remorse and asking His forgiveness, indicates a contrite and repentant heart. Don't allow the condemnation of your past, over-take the future in Him to proceed from this day forward. God bless you, sister. Welcome home. Shalom, David/BeauJangles 1 John 1:9 KJV If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 3:20 KJV For if our heart condemn us, God is greater than our heart, and knoweth all things.
  6. A wonderful prayer, Valencia. Sounds like everything is covered here. Thanks for sharing this. God bless! Shalom, David/BeauJangles
  7. Not me, this post was so simplistically profound, I thought it good to bring it back into the forum. Thanks for sharing this. It was really needed for some reason. Go bless. Shalom, David/BeauJangles
  8. Hi Figure of eighty, Praying for you, in the difficulties you're presently facing. This scripture came to mind. God bless. Shalom, David/BeauJangles Psalm 37:4 Delight thyself also in the Lord; and He will give thee the desires of thine heart. (KJV)
  9. ohso, of course you can make your godly desires known to the Lord... But this statement gleaned from the post submitted, says quite a lot to me. May God bless you. Shalom, David/BeauJangles
  10. Hi, Gary. I loved the link, and thanks for posting it. God bless you, brother. Shalom, David/BeauJangles
  11. Hi Gary, Yes, I remember the tracts mentioned, authored and illustrated by Jack T. Chick. There were hundreds of others as well, that were also printed and published. Very strong on evangelism, and not exclusively to the young, they certainly made an impression with a splash of sensationalism. Bless his heart though, Jack felt a calling, and his tracts went into world-wide distribution, and translated into numerous languages. The goal was to get the word out, spreading the gospel and salvation message to all nations. Apparently it did exactly that. God bless! Shalom, David/BeauJangles
  12. Yes Chris, exactly. Thanks for the reply. God bless! Shalom, David/BeauJangles
  13. Hi Christine, This is a very interesting question, and thanks for posting it. Perhaps yet another question here. Would it be at all possible, the Lord gave Paul the understanding his letters would also be shared by other churches some time in the future? That might be a little far-fetched, and I'm only assuming here, but it's a thought. If so, this could account for the ' faithful in Christ Jesus'. To me it would appear to be one in the same, and nothing further indicated. I could be totally wrong about this, and way out in left field. Looking forward other's responses. God bless! Shalom, David/BeauJangles
  14. Yes you are, or were at the time you posted this. Welcome to the Worthy forums. God bless! Shalom, David/BeauJangles
  15. Hi James, Welcome to Worthy. I think Christian based rehabilitation is a wonderful thing. It takes a lot of godly dedication, and is no easy calling. Perhaps one of our moderators can assist/advise you with your membership status, and allowance into the general forums. Hope you'll enjoy it here. God bless! Shalom, David/BeauJangles
  16. Hi turtletwo, Lots of examples here, and I'll let each contribute. My personal favorite would be the story of Shadrach, Mehsach, and Abednego, in King Nebuchadnezzar's firey furnace. Daniel 3:12-30 A lot to post here, but the fourth man that was seen walking in the furnace with the three, was not an angel as many theologians teach. I believe it was our Saviour, Jesus. God bless! Shalom, David/BeauJangles
  17. Some believers may feel cremation to be controversial, but it is financially practical. Grandparents on both sides of the family had traditional burial arrangements, but did opt for memorial services in places of worship, rather than the extra cost of that of a funeral home. Father and mother preferred to be cremated, as the expense of finalizing are astronomical in California. Provision for dispersion, has become more common here as well. The remainder of our immediate family is deciding the same. God bless. Shalom, David/BeauJangles
  18. Hi Ella, Well Sister, thanks for the honesty. Just because you weren't being truthful, doesn't automatically condemn you to eternal punishment. If Jesus is your saviour, He forgives and we are to forgive one another as well. Everyone wants love, Ella. You do seem to have quite a lot of issues to deal with. But try to find a decent godly place of worship and fellowship. Perhaps it will lead to a more positive outlook in the future for you. God bless. Shalom, David/BeauJangles
  19. John 14:13 And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the son may bring glory to the father.
  20. And He is our advocate before the Father. 1 John 2:1 Some of my prayerful cries of exasperation begin with, "Dear Jesus!" I find it quite natural to go directly to Him during those times. God bless. Shalom, David/BeauJangles
  21. I hear this even among some alleged believers. It's bad, it's wrong, and it's profane.
  22. Dear Ella, Thank you for getting back to us, and that you are safe. Know that the Lord heard the cry of this simple prayer here, and trust He will surely answer it. Keep seeking some other means of Christian fellowship, because the two you currently have don't seem to satisfy the needs at present. You do have acceptance in Jesus, and you absolutely have it here. God bless. Shalom, David/BeauJangles
  23. Dear Ella, I was in the midst of responding to your posts, and cries of desperation here, and the plug on my PC got slightly dis-lodged. Power down. You've been a member for almost five years, and with little input. I'm trying to understand the fragile situation at present, but with not a lot of info, it's difficult at best. The thing is this: Nothing is worth ending you life for. NOTHING There's need for an intervention in your life right now, and it's a bit limited for an internet ministry, tremendous as it is. Isolated and alone as you might be feeling, do reach out to someone, somewhere. And get back to us, we're praying for you. Shalom, David/BeauJangles
  24. Amen, Neighbor. When we each stand before the Almighty, it's certainly as individuals, and it is not like a "package deal". God bless! Shalom, David/BeauJangles
  25. Hi Keshia, Welcome to Worthy. Reading your post was really heart breaking. Certainly there is support here, but I feel it would be helpful to include some local church involvement. Do seek some in depth counseling and prayer. Not to be a 'nay-sayer' and jump right into this, but legal advice may also in order. Of course, the greatest hope would be for salvation, and reconciliation of your marriage. But most of all, the Lord lead and guide through your upcoming time of trials. You're in my prayers as well, dear sister. Shalom, David/BeauJangles
