I really can't tell you why I believe in Jesus, I just do. For me it's not even a matter of faith it is just fact for me. I know beyond a shadow of a doubt that He is alive and that He is my Savior. When I was 15 I was saved. I have no doubt about Him or His Word. Good question but hard to put into words.

When you wait on the Lord He will guide you into all of His Truth, even on who to marry. But as shiloh says there is nothing in scripture on God picking the one you are going to marry.

There is no such thing "God Can't" He is the God the impossible. My question to you is how much of an effort are you putting fourth to seek Him? God is not going to run you over. He will not go where He is not asked. Seek Him above all things. Get into His Word and spend time in His Presence, That is where your answers are.

Yes I agree with my sister Willa, Many of the verses you used are out of context. God does not fail His people. We live in a broken and sinful world and it's going to get worse. Jesus said, "In the world you will have tribulation but be of good cheer I have over come the world." We were nor have we ever been promised an easy ride. But in those dark times this is where our faith is going to work for us. In other words it's where the rubber meets the road. I lost two very dear friends both to breast cancer, not to mention my dad and my husband both dying from cancer. My heart was broken but I knew that that was not the end, I will see them again one day and when I do nothing or no one will ever take them from me again. It's all about trusting God Rachel knowing that whatever comes He always has things in control. So don't fret my sister. Put your hand in the Hand of your Savior and keep your eyes on Him. Remember when Peter walked on the water? He was fine until he started looking at the storm around him, it was then he sank. Are you kidding me sister? I'm in the upper desert of Southern California and at night it's in the 30's. Since I don't heat my house at night because it's propane and expensive, my house is about 50 degrees in the morning. I was born and raised in Michigan but my parents had a wonder home with HEAT!. No I"m not as cold as Minnesota and for that I thank my Heavenly Father. How many more days until summer?

Amen Kwik! Here in sunny Southern California it is very cold. Since I have only propane heat and a small heater, my house is very cold, yet I praise God that I have a home and a roof over my head. It's all about the praise in good and in bad!

Amen Kwik, It is not his business to tell those kids things like that. And as long as the parents tell their children what Christmas is all about, the truth there is no harm in letting them have fun with Santa.

That may be true but that does not save us. We need to make Jesus Christ the Lord of our lives, put Him on the throne of of life and follow Him. I chose to do that when I was 15 and have not turned back since. In my life nothing would make sense without Him. I choose to follow Him in everything I do.

That is exactly what he does. He is our comforter and He does keep us in check so to speak. We would be sucked into the world for sure. Well said Ywom.

OK so in answer to your question. The real secret is to submit and surrender to Jesus daily, stay in the word and pray. Keep yourself covered in Him and His Words. A policeman or woman cannot turn the other cheek, they will get shot. Yes they can be Christians. Another group of people we need to pray for, they put their lives on the line everyday. Just a month ago we had two Palm Springs police officers shot and killed.. A woman with a new baby and a male with 7 children. These people don't get paid enough in my book. It's not about avenging themselves. It is about upholding the law and protecting us the citizens.

If you are saved you have the Holy Spirit and if you are open to His voice you will hear it when something isn't right. I promise you my sister you have the Holy Spirit, just listen... Blessings, RustyAngeL
