Hell.........NO!!!! I want nothing of Satan!

We can't avoid Satan, he is already on Earth, he even seems to have some limited access to heaven.

Satan cannot come into heaven.

Satan cannot come into heaven.

He does have some access...that's how he accuses us before the Lord.....

Job 2

Job's Second Test

1 On another day the angels [a] came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan also came with them to present himself before him. 2 And the LORD said to Satan, "Where have you come from?"

Satan answered the LORD, "From roaming through the earth and going back and forth in it." 3 Then the LORD said to Satan, "Have you considered my servant Job? There is no one on earth like him; he is blameless and upright, a man who fears God and shuns evil. And he still maintains his integrity, though you incited me against him to ruin him without any reason."

4 "Skin for skin!" Satan replied. "A man will give all he has for his own life. 5 But stretch out your hand and strike his flesh and bones, and he will surely curse you to your face."

6 The LORD said to Satan, "Very well, then, he is in your hands; but you must spare his life."

7 So Satan went out from the presence of the LORD and afflicted Job with painful sores from the soles of his feet to the top of his head. 8 Then Job took a piece of broken pottery and scraped himself with it as he sat among the ashes.

9 His wife said to him, "Are you still holding on to your integrity? Curse God and die!"

10 He replied, "You are talking like a foolish [b] woman. Shall we accept good from God, and not trouble?"

In all this, Job did not sin in what he said.

I can already imagine that Heaven is an amazingly beautiful place.

I'd like to see a glimpse of hell, just to see exactly how bad it is. For me, I feel it'd motivate me even more to turn from my sin, and walk as closely with God as possible.

Satan only is allowed into the presence of God but why was he there? To do his duty!!! He has to still obey God. I love that passage in Job...he came to present himself too just like the other angels. He could not enter on his own! He has no power in heaven whatsoever. He also has no power over us on earth either. We allow him into our lives. Greater is HE who is in me than he who is the world!

The original question......I think 10 minutes of heaven would be too much to witness and as someone already said, I don't know if I would want to come back. 10 minutes of hell and I would be too depressed to go on. I guess hell if I had to take one because then I could tell people what it was like and when someone says "how do you know?" then I can tell them because I've been there.

Good question though.

From the way I read it, he has no power except to accuse us before the Lord. This will not always be so; satan will be cast out of Heaven and that's when it's going to get REALLY bad here, on earth

Imagine the encouragement of seeing what He has in store for us! It would encourage me to work that much more for Him.

Well said and even right now He gives us joy every instant.

if you were allowed a divine vision for 10 minutes would you rather glimpse heaven or hell

In the word of God you have more than a 10 minute divine vision of heaven. Read (Revelation 21) The heavenly New Jerusalem coming down. This will give you a divine revelation and a glimpe of heaven.

All throughout Revelation you can see a divine glimpse into hell more than 10 minutes.

The four gospels has much to give us in the way of a glimpse of hell more than 10 minutes worth.

I think it is a good thing to study both heaven and hell in light of holy scripture which gives us the truth. We should study both heaven and hell and not pick one over the other.

I wouldn't survive hell, and I wouldn't survive heaven in this body.

If I could see just one second of Heaven I am pretty sure it would be too overwhelming, if I even survived it!

We have no idea, and can't have any kind of comprehension of the greatness of heaven, being in God's presence and living in God's light. Making a judgement about whether we would prefer to see heaven or hell is not even a possible decision... We couldn't survive seeing either with these weak hearts and brains.

Reading the Gospels, epistles and Revelation are as close as we need to get to either at the moment. God gave us this amount of information for a purpose, and it definately gives us hope and anticipation for heaven! There have been things which I have seen, which I am not sure if they were reality or my imagination, but they were only for a second... And they were just a shadow of the real places. I know that many people here on Worthy have seen and heard things which overwhelmed and amazed them... But really that is nothing compared to even a second of what heaven will be. We can truly have no idea of that truly awesome place.

And since I honestly can't express even what I'm thinking about how great that place will be, i'll stop talking because now I'm just repeating myself :whistling:

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • George Whitten, the visionary behind Worthy Ministries and Worthy News, explores the timing of the Simchat Torah War in Israel. Is this a water-breaking moment? Does the timing of the conflict on October 7 with Hamas signify something more significant on the horizon?

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
