No human [apart from Christ] is worthy to go to heaven. I think there are many [saved] people who at times in their life "feel" as though they are not going to heaven, that is why I am glad salvation is not based on emotion, but rather the faithfulness of God and the works of Christ.

We all go through moments in which our thoughts wonder away seemingly not being able to concentrate on our prayers to Him. These moments are a brief rain during the summer. If we are good enough or deserve Him is not our call. We believe and trust God and Jesus and do our best to spread His Word.

Blessings.

Or not good enough for God? I have been having these thoughts a lot lately? There are so many things that I do wrong. A lot of the time I don't feel like I even come close to deserving the Kingdom.

Well, the truth is you are not good enough for God and you don't come even close to deserving the Kingdom. It would not matter if you did everything right. You would never be good enough, much less deserve the Kingdom in and of yourself.

That is true about all of us. That is why our faith is in Christ and his finished work on the cross. Jesus is the only person that was ever good enough. He is the only person that lived up to God's righteous standard. He has imputed that righteousness to us. It is by faith that we receive that righteousness when we are born again.

Those who are trusting being "good enough" will be terribly dissapointed at the throne. If you have received Christ as your Lord and Savior, you are in the Kingdom already. You have eternal life right now. Those who are born again are safe in Christ and have nothing to fear. Your good works as Christian are the product of salvation, not the means of getting saved or maintaining salvation.

:whistling::blink::blink: I would add this, when ever i focus on me, I get discourage, when I focus on Him and what He did for me, I stay encourage. I used to wonder about my salvation, but it was do to my lack of understanding of what He has truly done for me. I know now for sure and never doublt my salvation.

Because I am just a human being .... with all the foibles that go along with being mortal, when I don't think I could possibly be worthy of heaven and then my faith wakes me up and reminds me that I am a Daughter of the King and Jesus died for me and I will be in heaven with Him.

Sometimes, it doesn't hurt to be reminded about how undeserving we are. Not that we should allow it to turn into condemnation, but sometimes I need to be put in my place and reminded of the gift I have and what it cost the Lord to provide it to me.

You mean like this person?

Luke 18:13

13 And the tax collector, standing afar off, would not so much as raise his eyes to heaven, but beat his breast, saying, 'God, be merciful to me a sinner!'

NKJV

and then the response from Christ our judge-

Luke 18:14

14 I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other; for everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted."

NKJV

So if this man was justified by Christ! Who holds on to him?

John 10:27-30

27 My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me. 28 And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand. 29 My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of My Father's hand. 30 I and My Father are one."

NKJV

and you say I have and am doing wrong !!! This is the ultimate check list for what can not rip you from the Hand of God-

Rom 8:38-39

38 For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, 39 nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord

NKJV In this list what is not covered here in all of creation?

Just a final thought here John said "God is Love" ! Then what would you expect to find in His hand? God's speed to the understanding of security given to those who have cried out to the Lord for Salvation! Love Steven

What prompted you to ask this question? I have my reasons, I would like to hear yours.

If you don't mind.

Like I said in my post today (patience and change), I am really feeling not good enough for God. I'm not patient enough. I get angry. I spend my time doing dumb things when I could really be studying my Bible. I don't really act like a Christian much of the time. Terrible words come out of my mouth and terrible thoughts go through my mind. I'm definitely undeserving of heaven. I will never understand God's love. How can He love these filthy rags of mine? I know He does love me unconditionally....I just don't understand why.

That's what this means

Rom 12:1-2

12 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. 2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

NKJV

Eph 5:25-26

25 Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself for her, 26 that He might sanctify and cleanse her with the washing of water by the word

NKJV

2 Tim 3:14-17

4 But you must continue in the things which you have learned and been assured of, knowing from whom you have learned them, 15 and that from childhood you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. 16 All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, 17 that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.

NKJV

You must wash and renew your mind by the Word of God. I know you know, but it's not working. So find God's people and tell them you need accountability with Bible Study. Find study groups in evenings and join them do whatever it takes for it is the only way provided by God to change us into the person God desires us to be! It should be of some encouragement to understand your mind now without study and meditation is of no use to you or God! The Holy Spirit of God is not liking it at all hence your testifying of this right now. Love Steven

We all struggle with "flesh". Some flesh takes longer to conquer than others.

Try reading Roman 6-8 every day. Just read it.

I was struggling with doubting my salvation, and someone suggested reading a certain Scripture every day. I did that, and it made a huge difference!

Think you can do this?

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Daniel: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 3

      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this study, I'll be focusing on Daniel and his picture of the resurrection and its connection with Yeshua (Jesus).

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
