Doughnut shop for a sausage biscuit and coffee and chat with friends for an hour and a half then to a Friday morning meeting with a bunch of really old people to have a discussion with diverse speakers each week. This morning was the librarian from our High School.

Actually we are quite good at it..... our main problem seems to be able to get everyone else's attention to implement the ways to solve things.... Long story short no one listens to us..... life can be so cruel. LoL

Word leaked out and many were able to escape on some galley ships and ended up in Scotland where they would later merge with the masons. The date of the raid was Friday the thirteenth and that is where the superstition is supposed to have originated.

I do however think there is something strange when it comes to full moon. I seen animals get hyper during full moon and my dad tells me that my mother (she has Alzheimer) get restless and talks in her sleep during full moon, why, I don'y know. Especially when I worked with those with mental and physical disabilities, the elderly and those with impared abilities. Becoming restless, more active, more aggressive, etc. Full moon also effects the tide of the ocean...just my opinion, but I think during the full moon, people tend to notice the change in the atmosphere and react to it. No science logic behind that thought, but it's my take on it.

And I also read that about the Knights Templar and Friday the 13th....somewhere.

My husband's mother used to have a number of thing's she'd adhere to. I remember her throwing a fit once because my hubby bought me a set of knives as a gift. She wouldn't rest until I gave him a dollar for them because otherwise they would "cut our love" or something like that. And she had this thing about the first person in her door on New Year's day having to be a man. Don't know what that was about either. I remember a few superstitions that we would joke about when I was a kid, but my parents weren't superstitious. I'll never forget a few years back when I was riding with my father-in-law when a black cat ran across the road ahead of us and he actually crossed himself. First, I found it weird because I had no idea he was that superstitious and second because he's not even Catholic so I don't know where the crossing himself came from. I just don't worry about anything like that. Don't actually believe in either good or bad luck. I find superstitions funny.
