I was brutally honest with myself. And I did not like what I saw.

Thank God for Grace.

ok here's the deal. if you score "spiritually mature", you are then asked to join their team and be a mentor to someone they will pair you up with. i feel like i'll be a hypocrite if i don't agree and sign up, but it really doesn't give any information at all about what joining their team entails. is this mentorship going to be through emails? phone calls? chat rooms? message boards? there's no information at all, and no link to request more info.

what would you do?

Easy.

I got the spiritually mature rating too and asked to join their team. My question wasnt, oh man they want me to give them this information and I dont know who they are. My question was, does God want me there. I also checked out the rest of their site.

My answer. God wants me here. This is the ministry He has set me up in.

The questions were not always easy. I often wavered between two answers. Like the question on worrying. I do fret. But I also keep reminding myself that He is in control and I need to stop worrying and trust that He will take care of me. For big things I have been able to do that. Their answers didnt reflect that though lol so I had to choose the one that best fit. Even though it wasnt identical to what I go through.

This is what I got, and presumably LadyC too since she referenced it.

Your Christian Face Index is: Spiritually Mature

We NEED YOU on our team…SERIOUSLY.

Your answers suggest you are a spiritually mature Christian; having a strong, loving relationship with Christ and others and are a role model to others in your Christian walk. We would be blessed to have your help mentoring others who aren’t as spiritually mature as you.

God’s word says in Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 “Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their work: If one falls down, his friend can help him up. But pity the man who falls and has no one to help him up!”

Some people who take this quiz are “Far from Christ” or are “Worldly Christians” who desperately need the help of a mature brother or sister such as you. Please sign up to be one of our mentors and we’ll pair you up with someone who needs and wants your help.

To become a mentor, please sign up using the form below.

Hello I am quite new at this but the test was kind of cool. Good Questions for everyone if for nothing else to remind the test taker of opportunitys to improve. We can all stand improvement in our walk with Christ Jesus everyday. After all one of the things Christ Jesus accomplished while He walked here on Earth, that is not often discussed, is He "Set the Standard" we should all live by daily. Speaking for myself I know I am not even close , even on days that I might think I've done pretty good, "Not Even Close"! By the Grace of a merciful , wonderful , God I am saved through Faith in His Son Jesus Christ,, nothing more or nothing less on my part.

honestly, i don't think it's possible for such a tiny little quiz with so few questions to determine ANY person's spiritual maturity factor. being spiritually mature is so much more than how you do or would react to less than a dozen scenarios. if anything, it may give us some starting points for evaluating ourselves and working on improving in those areas. but i can guarantee that although i may have responded (honestly and accurately) in a spiritually mature manner, ask me different questions and i'd come up miserably short.

the quiz was so short that a disproportionate amount of emphasis was on each answer. for instance, the question about how frequently do we read the bible... right now, it just happens that i'm spending a lot of time, but that's because i'm challenging myself specifically in that area, and that challenge is a year long one. four months ago, my answer would have been "almost never". if i'd taken the quiz then, i'd have probably been the moderate christian that needs a lot more work.

so fez, don't worry that you didn't like what you saw. work on those areas, but know that the quiz is not a sum total of who you are in Christ, not even close. i see LOTS of spiritual maturity in you.

thanks for your impression about it. i do need more information though... not so much because of the info they request, but because i need to know what i'm committing to. i need to know if i CAN commit to what they're asking.

i'm still waiting to hear from them, then i'll give it some prayer and consideration.

A quiz that tests you on how you live your Christian walk:

Note: This is more for self-evaluation than anything else. I found myself wavering between answers in some of these. But I found myself challenged towards setting a goal I need to achieve.

...thanks for posting:)

Mine said " Good Christian" too,but there is such a thing really , where would we be without Gods grace? We could have all the right words and deed but we still could be lost...............

Well, i will try and keep you posted about it. I signed up just to see if there really is someone who is needing help seeing God's face, and accepting Christ as their Lord and Savior. If its not legit, my heart was in the right place....If it is I hope you all will take it seriously.

Hmmm! I do not like test.......

Our CURRENT face is the one PERCEIVED by non-Christians. Their perception is their reality. All too often, non-Christians believe we are judgmental, hypocritical, unGodly, not compassionate, “gay” hating, bigoted, closed minded (intellectually challenged), old fashioned, sheltered, too political, prideful, superficial, self righteous, etc.

Gee some of those thoughts have passed through my mind, while reading some of my responses as well as others, lately....

I had a hard time signing up for this place......

i feel like I'll be a hypocrite if i don't agree and sign up

PS>>> As a Christian it is OK to say NO!

They want to know your real name, your zip, and email on the world wide web, not such a good idea....

 Seriously? That ministry should be more responsible than that, to offer strangers with no proven accountability to become mentors.

I wouldn't sign up unless you felt a prompting from the Holy Spirit to do so.

I would take any opportunity to lead people in God's Word to learn how to feed themselves! :)

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Daniel: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 3

      Shalom everyone,

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
